We tried the new "chicken tenders" and the cashier went on and on about how their sauce was better than Cane's, etc. well, Cane's has nothing to worry about! The tenders were dry, and whatever the coating was made of was very thick and dry corn meal mixture that was tasteless and not good. The dipping sauce was nothing to brag about for sure. Service was fast and courteous! We had the chicken tostada and 3 piece chicken with Cole slaw and beans as sides. All the food was delicious and fresh. We always try to come about lunch or dinner time to get the chicken fresh off the grill. Only thing that needs to improve is the cold corn tortillas that are obviously machine made! We also enjoyed the 60s music, luckily our kids were not with us or they would have hated the music. A mix of music would be nice like 60s/70/s/80s...just saying! read more

I work nearby and have always felt like this is the best El Pollo Loco I've ever been to. Ruben is the manager here and he is always working very hard and being pleasant and polite to customers and coworkers. I would suggest this El Pollo Loco over any other! Love this place for its iconic crazy good chicken. I ordered the 3-piece dark meat with rice, pinto beans and corn tortillas. My salsas were avocado and house. The flavor of the chicken was excellent! Two whole stars lost for lukewarm under cooked rice and lukewarm beans. The tortillas were completely stuck together and came apart in rags as I separated them. Again, nearly empty restaurant--no excuse. read more

I went her because I was in the same parking lot. 2nd time I've been to this place. I had no problem initially with the person that took my order (inside). I asked for flatware and napkins when he handed me the cup. He said he would put in my order. My name is called and I picked up but found no flatware. Another worker that actually put (tossed) my bag on counter and called my name to pick up asked what I needed and I told her a fork and... Didn't get to finish. Another gentleman came in from the drive threw and asked the same. She starts scolding us saying "you guys need to ask for this when you order... it's the law" I said I did ask but she just tossed forks at us. I didn't dare tell her the salsa was wrong since I don't know what would happen. I understand service workers are not always treated nicely and I try to be as nice as possible however, it goes both ways. If you're having a bad day, step back and breath. Please do not go to this location. The workers do not care about how they treat you in the drive through or specific items in your order. They are ALWAYS rude. The food is always burnt and has no flavor. Definitely choose something different to eat or go to a different location. read more

Long, long overdue review. Everytime I come here, everyone is friendly and efficient. The order is always spot on accurate and they never forget things like utensils or the extra dressing I ask for. I actually meant to give this review a few weeks ago, even told the employee at the window that I'd be leaving a stellar review but I lag. This place really likes to argue with their customers. First off, I ordered a double chicken tostada salad. There were maybe 8 small pieces of chicken on my salad. You think there would be more because it's double, but that's where they trick you. My son ordered the four piece chicken meal. What a rip off it was at $15. Do I drive to El Pollo Grill or do I try out the new El Pollo Loco? I think I will try out the new El Pollo Loco! Packed up my son Billy and drove down here to get some lunch. Went through the drive through and ordered 2 chicken breasts a la carte and a side salad. Total was $7.45. Not too bad. Here is how it tasted.................... Side Salad ($1.99)- It was pretty tasty for being so plain. Lettuce, tortilla strips (I removed them) and a great tasting cilantro dressing. It served its purpose. Chicken Breasts ($2.50 each)- I love flame grilled chicken. I think I prefer it over all other kinds of chicken (rotisserie, fried, baked etc). The chicken breasts were decent sized and they tasted great. The marinade is a typical Mexican style grilled recipe. A little citrus, a little garlic, a little pepper etc. This is chicken you can pick at and strip down too. All that was left were bones by the time I was done. I was very impressed and seeing is they are only $2.50 per breast, for $5.00 it was a good amount of food for the money. Is it better than El Pollo Grill? Naw...but its close....El Pollo Locos skin doesn't get as crisp as El Pollo Grill. The meat itself is pretty darn tasty though and I am a fan! The benefits to El Pollo Loco are that the price point is great and this place is way closer to my house. As long as I am sticking to this low carb diet, I will probably be back a lot. Worst customer service. Very backed up on food. My husband when up to ask where the food was at and requested refund if it was going to be much longer (it was over 20 min at that point). Skinny kid at register actually threw the bag of food at my husband when it came out. Manager with pony tail talked to him in the back - they actually locked doors to restaurant so no more customers could come in. I get staffing shortages but there are ways to still provide good customer service. The food was good but we won't be back to this location. read more
