Oof. So overall the food was good and yummy. It was the bathroom situation that had us questioning. There are two bathrooms in the place, both with codes. We tried the given code for one and it worked, used the same code with the other, it wouldnt work. So we asked the front if there's a different code for that particular bathroom and they said no, its not working and it's out of order. Okay no problem we can just wait in line for the one functioning available bathroom. The thing is they should've added a sign on the door saying 'out of order'. Anyways, in the long line, my mom was the last one to go in, and she saw an employee go in and use the "out of order" restroom! So we're just thinking, huh... so it was an employees only bathroom? I was craving some churros so I made an order for pick up online of 2 churros. I also decided to try their chicken avocado burrito. I was immediately annoyed when I came in and the churros are literally half the price in store as they are online. Ok, you pay a premium to order online and save yourself time, I get it, but two full times the price is quite a markup. I guess ultimately I'm not mad because the churros were the best part of the meal. They were soft and warm and not overly sweet. The burrito on the other ad was terrible. It tasted like a cabbage burrito and it was difficult to chew at times. It also had a tun of runny liquid that made the burrito slimy and got everywhere. The chips and salsa was also a pass. Food: Fresh and HOT. So often you go to a drive-in and the good is cold or warm. But my meal was hot, and that's what I like. Salsa Bar - The salsa Bar has everything you need to enjoy your meal: Fresh salsa (mild & hot), fresh avocado sauce, Fresh pico de Gallo, lemons, cilantro, onions. They have little cups for your take home needs, and packets of hot sauce, it's very hot!!!!! Self-serve drinks: Coke, Sprite, ice teas, etc. I see a lot of children with macaroni and cheese, which most children like. Sadly have to drop the review for this location. The food is still great even if the salsa bar is hit or miss in terms of being stocked and the clean. But what has gone down a lot is the customer service. I frequent this location in the evening hours and the same person takes my order and is rude each time. This time I asked for the 2 pc combo, she asked if I wanted a drink I asked if it was included in the combo and she rudely told me "do you want the drink or not?" I asked if there was a charge for it. She said yes. I would have bought a drink anyway but her rude condescending attitude put me off from spending more money here. Great food friendly staff. I love their double chicken salads and churros. The restaurant and the bathrooms are always clean and restock.

Boy, oh boy. Where do I even start? The fact that they act like everything comes out of their paycheck? The fact that I had horrible food poisoning from their food? Or how rude and unprofessional the workers are? They never give me napkins. I ask for salsa and they give me ONE with a side of attitude. Lemons? A tiny baggie with 2 SLIVERS of the smallest lemon you can possibly find. Why do they treat us like we're beggars and we're at a soup kitchen? Do the salsas come out of their paychecks??? I've purchased orders that are $40-80 and all I get are literally 2 salsas, 3 IF I'M LUCKY- Most of the cashiers there are RUDE. Especially the older Mexican women. Absolutely RUDE. Every single time me or someone in my family goes, there's always something missing. Not only that, but they treat us as if we were subhuman. I used to work there. I remember attitude MATTERED. I asked the driver and she said there was no drinks and told me to call the restaurant. The inside is clean and they have an outside eating area in the front. Everything looks new the decor is nice. I wouldn't mind eating inside. They have bathrooms...but I didn't go inside. Horrible set up for the COVID-19 pandemic you can only order at the drive thru Which is not a bad idea but when you're delivering for Postmates you have to stand in the line that goes out of the parking lot and they won't let you park and call to pick up the order. I like the $5 value meals El Pollo Loco has to offer. The chicken burrito combo is one meal, I usually order. Comes with a drink and chips and salsa. You can have Corn tortillas. But I never have them. There's better Burritos probably everywhere. But this one has grown on me. My next victim is the Loco bowl. Chicken and beans with rice. I do my thing and crunch up my chips and pour salsa over the top. It's something one can make at home. But I'm way too lazy to be cooking all the time. The customer service has been alright, I hadn't had any problems but nothing really stood out. The place is usually clean, when I dine in. The salsa bar is next to the front counter. Also a drink station for your refills on soda. So yeah, yer bOi VD is a fan of this joint. If you're looking for a cheap meal for $5 El Pollo Loco has you covered. Ordered 2piece meal and 1 extra order of flour tortillas. Got order parked in lot check bags no flour tortillas. I go back to drive thru window girl who helped me says in nasty tone you only paid for the meal then asked for my receipt the one she never gave me and I got her that. She closed the window come back with the flour tortillas I ordered. I should have known something was off because she handed me them rolled up. I know these are normally flat not rolled. Half of the tortilla was hard as a rock. I will never come here again because I truly believe the lack of customer service was because of my race. For sides I had mac and cheese..which was good, spicy rice..which was ok and the smashed potatoes and gravy which was NOT good. Yuck. Come on guys, there are better instant mashed potatoes out there...explore a bit and upgrade. The chicken was awesome.. hot and juicy. Yeah, I almost had too much to eat but since that was my only meal of the day, I made it! ;) Oh yeah, they have a salsa bar and one of the sauces on there is a spicy avocado. It was yummy!! I have been going to this location for about three years and have watched it turn into a place I will no longer go to. The drive through has always been bad and inside it's been okay but now you cant get what you order even inside. The managers (evening shift-6:30pm) argue with/talk down to customers who ask for substitutions (shrimp instead of chicken) which they claim they do for a price. I willing to pay the extra was refused because they said it wasn't on the menu so I showed them the pic from their menu saying I could. The Manager refused to look and walked away. She rudely said, "You need to wait in the front." No, I'm sorry we don't have it ready. Can you please pull in the front and we will bring it out to you." She was a heavy set lady working the drive thru at 1148 am on 6/20/2020. You really need to think about getting rid of her or put her on wiping table duty.
