The complimentary chips were thick and cold--I much prefer them thin, crisp, and ideally warm when they hit the table. The salsa itself was disappointing too: thick, plain, and more like tomato sauce than the fresh, zesty dip I was hoping for. Service also had a hiccup--I was charged for extra pico and sour cream that never arrived. Not the end of the world, but frustrating nonetheless. All in all, while my meal was tasty and my son enjoyed his birthday, I can't say I had the complete Mexican dining experience I look forward to. I'll give Salsa's another shot next year, but for now, it's not at the top of my list.

The employees are always friendly and welcoming, and that's one thing I can count on every time I visit. The food can occasionally be hit or miss. I've had quesabirria that was very fatty and had pieces that I really couldn't eat, and on another visit my food came out a little colder than I would have liked. Other times, though, the food has been really good. Overall, I still enjoy eating here and have had good dining experiences. The friendly service is definitely a plus, but I'd love to see a little more consistency with the food.
