My wife's burrito was as good as you can get at any Mexican restaurant but not really better. I was pretty excited to try the chicken mole because so many reviews were talking about how authentic this restaurant was. When I first got the dish I tried the mole sauce. In my experience a good mole sauce is something that is a passed down for generations with a complex and unique flavor and a minor unsweetened dark chocolate undertone. This mole was not all that flavorful - was somewhat cold and painted over a fried 1/2 chicken. I was going to power through it and this may have been a four-star review - but when I peeled back the breast part of the chicken it was really cold - like refrigerator cold - almost frozen. Not undercooked - cold. This tells me that I was eating a meal that was prepared in advance and then re-heated. I will say that the server was excellent - and when I returned the dish he handled it like a pro, I ended up getting a different dish that was pretty solid - nothing exceptional. I haven't returned a dish in years and was happy with how this process went. I did get comped one of those excellent watermelon drinks which made me happy. All in all - I will probably go again - but I would probably only go to the bar for the drinks and ambiance. I'd give 3.5 stars - but cannot give 4 stars.
