We went El Jr Tacos based on reviewes. It is in a quiet part of town, very nice and clean. It is inside of a very nice liquor store that is very well stocked. You go in and place your order, then pay at the liquor store counter. We ordered bean and cheese burritos, I was told many years ago, if a place can't make a good bean and cheese then it probably can't make much of anything else and these folks make a killer bean and cheese burrito! Very large and tasty their salsas are also really good! We can't wait to try more of what they have to offer! The place is really nice, clean and cute. Jr. and his wife? Great family taco counter inside the liquor store. You can tell they have regulars. We have purchased from them twice with catering for a local event for 180-200 tacos. Great amount of rice, beans, and salas! They also provided grilled onions, and chiles. They are a wonderful family owned and ran business. It's so great to see them all contributing and provide great food and service!! Please remember this is a taco shop the size of a deli. This is a small and local place, not fast food. Worst food I have ever had. It was nothing but grease. The torta was not on toasted bread as it should be, it was soaked inside and out and just a wet mess of grease. No flavor at all, other than the grease it's cooked in. We tried the Birria and Carne Asada fries, as well as some tacos, and there was absolutely no flavor in anything. Everything was awful, and all you get is just something very plain on the meat, no seasoning of any sort, and grease. That about says it all. The videos/images we saw it looked so good and was a huge disappointment. Never again would I consider trying it. Go Try Leo's in Indio.
