We had a fantastic lunch this week! Carnitas we're cooked to perfection. I love their chicken soup!! Huge portion allowed me a lunch the following day. Crane asada taco was tender and delicious. We will be frequenting this place!!

Enchilada and Chalupa combo. They Don Julio was just icing on the cake.

I moved from the neighborhood of Bellevue TN and closer to Madison. My wife and I stumbled upon this Mexican restaurant and we've eaten there every week since. They are fast, fairly priced and they serve good portions. I have nothing bad to report. My wife loves the shrimp tacos and most recently I get the Fajitas Texas. Good food and service.

Amazing tex-mex. chef accidentally sent the wrong meat in my taco and they still offered to let me keep everything. And it came out within 3 minutes.great service and great food.

On the road from Florida to Chicago pretty hungry and we saw this exit and got off for some lunch this was the only restaurant we saw on the strip and we're always wary of Mexican restaurants but did we get a surprise we walked in ,the place was beautiful hand paintings everywhere from the walls to the tables to the chairs we see .They even carved the name of the restaurant into the booths and the food was terrific we had chicken fajitas and they were great ,loved this little stop on the road

Solid Mexican on the northwest side. Just moved to the area and we don't have a lot of restaurant options in this part of town. So glad to have this place close by. Good prices, friendly service, good drinks and lots of options. Check it out!

My girls and I decided to meet at El Rey's on a Friday night at 6 pm and many of the tables were already full. We walked in, was greeted, and seated immediately. Our server spoke minimal english but was attentive to our large party. She promptly took our drink orders and gave us four bowls of chips and salsa to share. ***Please be advised the drinks are strong so be mindful of your alcohol tolerance. *** Since I was driving I ordered a small frozen mango margarita and it was delicious. For those non-driving individuals I recommend the large glass to get your monies worth or a pitcher to share otherwise; if you are driving or have a low sensitivity to alcohol order the small or better yet just stick to water. I decided to order the chicken taco salad and it was filling but just ok (refer to the picture). It had way too much sour cream, watery at the bottom, and the bowl tasted slightly burnt but it was edible. Honestly I have had better so I will stick to my usual Mexican preferred entrees fish or shrimp tacos or chicken enchiladas from now on. By this time it was almost 7 pm and the drinks were settling in and voices began to escalate around the restaurant. Two security guards began to walk the aisles asking patrons to lower their voices. I must say they were nice about it. The female restroom was clean but the non-handicapped stall is so small that you have to hold your chin up while squatting so that your face won't touch the door. I made it back to the table as the server started dispersing the checks and mine came to $12.01. All in all it is a great spot for groups that offers reasonable priced food and a wide selection of beverages and Happy Hour specials. Security is present to keep order as I have seen that most people can't control their alcohol and will be escorted off of the premises if need be.

Enchiladas Racnheras de Pollo - there are about 5 of them, with fresh cheese, sour cream, lettuce, and plenty of chile ranchera.

This place is a hidden gold mine! The food at El Rey Azteca is to die for. I never thought my husband and I would find such authentic delicious flavors way out of California, Los Angeles, but we found this place. It was pure luck that we ended up eating there because we drove from Florida to Minnesota, and we got a hotel right in front of this Mexican Restaurant. Anyways, the waiters and waitress are all very nice and very attentive. We got fresh chips and salsa, huge drinks, and the dinner portions were more than we can hangle. The prices are very inexpensive, and the food was to lick your fingers. My favorite was the Bistec a la Tampiqueña, and it had a side of beans with cheese, orange rice, and some delicious fresh guacamole! My husband had the enchiladas rancheras, and all I can say is that I wish I could have split my dinner with my husband so we can both eat from each other's plates, but he didn't want to share all of his dinner with me. He only gave me a couple of bites so I can try his dinner. But I am grateful he gave me a taste of it! tee-hee! We went back 5 days later when we were driving back to Florida, and this time we made it for lunch, and I ordered the Carne Asada nachos. Only if they used the original chips that they give as appetizers, I would have loved it more. They did the chips too fancy, and they were made from flour totillas, and I like corn tortilla chips way better. That is my only criticism. Stick to original corn tortillas. Nothing wrong with giving them same chips as appetizers as it is to give them with the nachos. They have way better flavor. :)

The food is not that great. You can get better food at other Mexican restaurants. I tried them several times, just so I could be sure.

We parked in the strip mall across the street where we later went for ice cream because I accidentally turned too soon, but I was glad when I saw how steep their parking lot is, with all the telltale scrapes from cars bottoming out. Our family shared a plate of Birria Tacos which we all adored and the kids ate the dipping sauce as soup. The half chicken had so much flavor from the smoker grill out front and I loved that it came with pico and fresh radishes in addition to the rice and beans. The Birria tacos came with satueed onions, diced raw onions, and shredded cilantro. Two other families had young kiddos like us, and I loved hearing one little guy order his favorite, carne asada, which I want to come back for! So delicious, great atmosphere and prices. I enjoyed the murals throughout!

And you can tell Mas Amigos is going to be good from the complimentary salsa and chips. The sauces are all fantastic. The enchiladas are delicious. I don't even like beans and I literally love their bean enchilada! The cheese enchiladas is probably their best, with the chicken coming in second. The quesadilla was delicious, well cooked and packed with the goods! Of course before the main, I started with a small queso. The queso was bland and a bit thick for my liking. The complimentary salsa was also nothing special. They both got the job done, but were just okay. The space is small, one large dining room featuring a variety of table setups along with a small bar in the back corner. No frills space, which is duplicated in their food. Service was friendly and timely. Place was clean and well kept. Overall, Pueblo Viejo is a solid 3.5 for me. Happy to go back and enjoy a meal, but wouldn't go out of my way for it.
