Small restaurant located in a strip mall (plenty of parking) serving up Colombian and Puerto fare. They have had a price increase (I've uploaded updated menus) I came here for empanadas and Colombian chorizo and was not disappointed!

What great, authentic Colombian food. I went there for breakfast and had the Bandeja Paisa and it was as great as what I enjoyed in Medellin; even though the chef is from Pereira... LoL. Our servers are fully bi-lingual, friendly and conscience of COVID requirements. Should anyone be in Winter Garden and want authentic Colombian food, this local" dining experience is the place to go!

Very nice surprise in Winter garden. Everything was tasty and the service was fast and courteous. The menu has a nice mix of Puertorican and Columbian comfort foods. The coffee is grinned to order and delicious. Jennifer our server was awesome and attentive. Definitely a go to.

The wait was pretty long but the food is fantastic. It reminds me of being in Colombia. The rice had a hint of coconut flavor to it, the beans were really good and my breaded chicken was cooked to perfection. Whenever I come to Orlando I'll def come here. The steak was pretty bland and over cooked but everything else was super satisfying.

Location is not the best and neither is the inside however the food and service makes up for all of that! My husband and I went on a Tuesday night around 8, service was very prompt from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. Easily one of my new favorite restaurants. The food was seasoned perfectly, brought out in a reasonable amount of time. We had sorrullo and empanadas colombianas as an appetizer. As my entree I had camarones al ajillo with mofongo and my husband had mofongo with chicken and onions. The portions were decent and we definitely left satisfied and full.

My husband and I sat in there for 50mins just waiting for our drinks and order.... We keep hearing the bell in the back when the food was ready... everyone's food came out and they all got their drink and we didn't... they had the fucking nerve to say there is a problem in the back sorry for the wait.. People that were walking in and ordering were getting their drinks in less than 5mins.. and like 10 mins later got their food... what was the problem in the kitchen? Mind you my husband is African American... they are lucky I didn't go off on them... 10000000% do not recommend if you are colored.. they will have you sitting there thirsty and hungry.. they didn't even come to our table to let us know.. I had to call them over like 15 times because we were so hungry and have been waiting almost an hour for food that wasn't even coming out.....

I usually come here for lunch and order the chicken pieces. Today i tried the fried pork and perhaps they were having an off day.

I haven't visited El Rey De La Papa in years, but recently went back and was pleased to see that their staff is still providing the same exceptional service and attention to detail years later. My husband ordered the smaller portion of the Bandeja Paisa, which was still massive! Everything was delicious, as expected. I wasn't as hungry, so I ordered the Octopus Salad appetizer as my meal, and found everything to be really well seasoned. We topped our meal off with a delicious flan, and were in and out of the restaurant in about an hour. Would recommend to anyone, and will make an effort to consider this restaurant more often when thinking of where to eat in Winter Garden!

TriFongo w shrimp in garlic sauce ... delicious!

She took care of me and and even brought a take out container noticing I didn't finish my food. Food- ordered the pernil lunch special and morir sonado to drink. Food was very delicious and reminded of the same food I would get on the island :) my only complaint was that my food was not super hot when it came out but it did coke out quickly after ordering. Food is priced well. Ambiance - small and cozy very welcoming. Not a ton of inside seating but could accommodate several families. 9/10 I definitely would return and make myself a regular here.

The service here was like at home. The food here tasted incredible. All of them were freshly prepared and seasoned. They have Mofongos from both Dominican and Puerto Rican. My party ordered the Chicharron y Pollo Mofongo from the Dominican side and Carne Frita Mofongo from the Puerto Rican side. The Dominican Mofongo was like a treasure chest that had fried pork rinds and shredded chicken hidden inside and melted cheese on top. The Puerto Rican Mofongo we ordered came with the fried pork chunks which tasted so good with the Mayo ketchup. But my number one today definitely was the cheese flan. It was perfectly sweetened with a texture between the cheese cake and caramel flan. I certainly will be back to try some of their other dishes.

The food has always been GREAT. The service and staff have always been great. They are not overly priced and they offer a good amount of food for what it is you are paying for. Flavor profiles are great. I am creature of habit, so I get my usuals when I order here. Among those usuals include the yuca fries, beef empanadas, guava and cheese empanada (when I want something sweet), the plantains, the tostadas, and I also enjoy their bowls. I've never had their burgers or some of their other platters, but I know those that have and they have yet to be disappointed. Being that Super Rico is located on the ground level of the parking garage my job uses, it is a restaurant I frequent. They are pretty quaint inside with limited seating, but they do have a good amount of outdoor seating with covered umbrellas. So, as long as the summer rain isn't too heavy, it is usually quite nice sitting outside to eat. They will also set up screens outdoors when there are major games, like they did for the World Cup. So, if you're ever looking for a spot to watch sports, they definitely do accommodate.

Being part of the parking structure doesn't mean that they validate your parking. If you can find street parking, definitely do that instead. I had the churassco med-well. It came with two sides, I had the tostones and salad. It was alright, but I definitely had better. I ordered it to eat it there and they put all the sauces in to-go containers, which was weird. The sauces were in such tiny containers, you definitely would need more. My friend got the mushroom arepa and a side of the sweet plantains that she really enjoyed. Service was good. The girl taking our order was super nice and polite. It was more like one step up from fast/food and self-served. You order at the counter and they give you a number for your table and they bring out the food to the table and you clean up after yourself.

I recently went to Orlando for a conference, and while we spent the majority of our time in a large…read moreresort and convention center, the leadership of the organization hosting the conference hosted a special dinner in one of the reservable ballrooms at the Cuba Libre Restaurant. I believe it may have been the Havana Ballroom. There was plenty of food, drinks, and mingling. The Cuba Libre Restaurant staff were great, and the venue was well laid out and worked for this event very well. When we arrived around 6:30 PM on a Saturday evening for our event, we first mingled around the tables and near the cash bar. There were a bunch of large tables that we began to fill out. As our program began and announces made and awards given out, appetizers were passed out. We were offered Guacamole Cubano, Mama Amelia's Empanadas, and Shrimp Cocktail which we passed around to the entire table. Personally, I skipped the guacamole and shrimp dishes but absolutely loved the empanadas. Yum! Then, an individual Cuban House Salad was passed out with red wine vinaigrette. This was also quite tasty. Next came the entrees including a choice of Salmon Paradiso, Ropa Vieja, Citrus Chicken, or Paella Vegetariana. I was trying to decide between the Ropa Vieja (beef brisket) and the Citrus Chicken. While the Citrus Chicken sounded perfect, I asked the serving staff their advice, and they recommended the Ropa Vieja for a true taste of Cuba. I was happy that I did even though it may have been more heavy and with a kick than I was expecting. I'm still glad I ordered it though. It was wonderfully prepared! And then, everyone received Cuban Flan for dessert. The Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar celebrates Cuban heritage and explores Cuban flavors, music, art, and traditions. The mission of the restaurant is to provide an "escape" to Havana through exciting food and beverages and entertainment experiences to celebrate the Cuban people and their culture. Orlando hosts one of several of this restaurant around the United States. This restaurant is in the midst of the Pointe Orlando. You can find details on their website: https://cubalibrerestaurant.com/en/orlando. You can find menus, entertainment, blogs, make reservations, specials, and more. The Cuba Libre Restaurant is open for brunch on weekends from 12 PM to 4 PM, for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 PM to 10 PM, Friday from 5 PM to 10:30 PM, Saturday from 4 PM to 10:30 PM, and Sunday from 4 PM to 10 PM. Happy Hour is at the bar and bar tables on weekdays from 5 PM to 6 PM and weekends from 4 PM to 6 PM. They have a special Chef's Tasting menu during dinner. They also host weekend nightlife and shows on Fridays with a live band from 7:30 PM to 12:15 AM and a DJ and dancing from 10 PM to 2 AM on both Fridays and Saturdays. It was certainly a great event and a fun place to be!

My partner's red snapper was NOT a red snapper. It was something else and extremely oily. It had no flavor. I think they should really take it off the menu if they're trying to disguise a porgy or some other fish as red snapper. The only thing I enjoyed was my sauvignon blanc and the bread. I hate to send food back and my partner was shy about it but when it's gross, you have to turn it away. The music was, the ambiance, the energy from the musicians make this place explode with flavor.
