The beef and sauce was very good; could be more tender, but the sauce on the mofongo was delicious. The empanada was okay... I may skip it next time, because it was a bit dry, or ask for a dipping sauce. The customer service was superb! The food use to be good . The service was bearable. You could see the difference in how certain individuals were treated . The way food being dispersed . How they spoke about certain individuals in their language thinking others didn't understand. How some was made to wait while they catered to their own . I get it . You do what U do for own . But I went there for my community. A gated community with seniors. I put up with these antics to make my neighbors happy . The food is out of this world! And it is always fresh. This is one of those places that it's always busy, so you know that all the products and ingredients are fresh. The place is always clean, and you feel welcome all the time. Do not think that the only people that visit this place are Hispanic people, which am my opinion is awesome to see all the cultures involved and enjoying our food. Usually, I get a little confused as some mom and pop shops have an unclear menu, this one is clearly stated. Food was not good at all. The service was great and the ladies were super friendly but the food was pretty bad. I was looking for some home cooked Latin food and this was not it. The pollo guisado (chicken stew) tasted like straight tomato sauce. The pernil (shredded pork shoulder) was super soft and salty. The juices were good but that's about it. I'm disappointed because like I said the ladies behind the counter were awesome and funny. The cuban was small, we only received 3 plantains and customer service was forgotten about (now that I think about it, I don't know if I've ever seen the women behind the counter smile). If their food wasn't so dang good, I don't know if I would be back but they won over my stomach and thus our hearts. I should've left this review months ago! Henry and his family are not just amazing in the hospitality industry (and they are) but they are actually amazing ppl. They help the community constantly with charity work & they don't even take credit for it! The food is amazing. Take this from a 100% Cuban from Miami. I'm a pretty good cook myself, but I can never get my food to taste THIS authentic. It's just truly delicious. Everything is fresh, made to order & comes out piping hot. I'm just gonna say it & I know it's gonna sound too good to be true... but my only problem is that I always want to order several items from the menu just for myself (but I don't wanna explode!). They even have online ordering, which makes everything much more convenient. I don't know if the owners read this, but if they do... THANK YOU for making me miss Miami less, lol. The online ordering does need some attention though, as there are some options missing (like adding the delicious beans! But there is a spot to add special instructions & they're great about following the instructions, never failed me before.) I really wanted to update my review on this place since the entire experience was not so great. We walk up and immediately the Spanish lady was so rude! I just ignored her and ordered my food. She told me to have a seat. We waited for over 30 minutes for mofongo and an alcapurria. When my husband walked up the the register the lady up front said he had to keep waiting. The mofongo was super dry and they didn't give any caldo. Everyone knows that 1. Mofongo isn't dry and 2. It's usually served with caldo. The alcapurria was burnt, literally (please see picture). I was excited to have my husband try one because they're delicious. I told him to delete this entire experience from his mind because both items DO NOT taste like that. Food and service were a turn off this time around. I won't be back if I'm in clermont. read more

First time eating here. The place looks clean and almost new. It's small but not uncomfortably small. Parking spots are also somewhat smaller than usual and difficult to maneuver in. Employees are very friendly and attentive. There also seem to be some confusion amongst the employees as to who did what. Two menu choices; order from the buffet (already cooked food), or from the screen menu (prepared on the spot). I decided to have breakfast; the usual, two fried eggs, bacon, plantain, and toast and coffee. My wife ordered the Spanish Omelet, toast, and coffee. It took a little longer than usual for the food to arrive. It was in styrofoam take-out plates. The food was good, but the bacon quantity was scarce. It appears that they are just starting and figuring things out. I this is a great place to stop by and get your lunch or dinner in a hurry; food is always hot and ready. .I'm sure this place will be busy soon. Good luck and plan ahead; we will be back! read more

Food is really good, and boy do you get big portion sizes here! A lot of the plates can be shared between two people. They have many dishes already prepared and served cafeteria style, but you can also order items off the menu. I'll update this review once I've tried more of the menu items, but I did enjoy the food I had. To be honest, I just pointed to what I wanted, and I don't remember the name of the meat! They had so many options, you'll have fun exploring the food options. My husband was excited to see mofongo on the menu. Apparently, it's harder to find in Central Florida! Only thing - it's a small space, so be prepared to wait. The food is good and worth the wait, so there are lots of people lined up.
