    Mofongo relleno de churrasco

I haven't been to this restaurant in over 3 years and when my family decided to dine there tonight I was ecstatic. However, at the end of our evening I don't think I'll ever return again. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews but the service we received this evening was terrible. We were a party of 6 and after we placed our entree orders the server asked if any of us wanted "aguacate" to accompany our meals and we had to repeatedly had to tell him no because he kept pushing us to order it. One of us ordered the salmon on the menu. When all our meals arrived the salmon didn't show up until all five of the rest of us were done with our meals. The server or manager didn't bother to tell us that the salmon was taking longer than usual. They didn't sincerely apologize for the salmon being delivered more than 10 min after everyone else's meals and they didn't even offer a glass of house wine for the inconvenience. What I assume was the manager (blonde lady), kept blaming the kitchen for the salmon being out late. After we told her we wanted it to go because that person in our party lost their appetite due to the wait they still didn't get the hint that we were upset about it. She kept saying that if they had waited for the salmon the rest of our food would've been brought out cold (then they should've re-fired the meal in the kitchen if that was the case). The whole situation was mismanaged. They didn't do any sort of guest service recovery for their mess up. Will not return unless they fix their service quality.

Great service and the food was amazing! For a cheap price too!!!!! Mix Peru /pr/asian food. It is on a strip of other restaurants too. I came here with a my bf and his parents. We enjoyed and ate every plate very quickly. The seafood fried rice is a must!!!!! We ordered a few appetizers m, bBy eels, chicken /shrimp; steak ; drinks were their lemonade. We cleared every single plate! We came alittle late, they close at 10 and we finished at 10:30. The waiter and the owner was extremely friendly and nice. We will def come back with a larger group. I'm not sure if tourist people come here but this is a nice spot to eat if you guys are looking for cheap, good food. :) only a 15 min drive from the San Juan strip!

This is a smaller, more intimate restaurant, so definitely make reservations ahead of time because seating is limited. But from the second you walk in to the moment you leave, the service is absolutely incredible. The staff makes the entire experience feel so warm and welcoming that you genuinely don't want the night to end. Huge shoutout to the chef because every single dish was executed flawlessly. You can tell that every detail on each plate was intentional and thoughtfully done. The standout dishes for me were the elote ribs, which were unreal, the grilled octopus cooked perfectly tender, and the ceviche con leche de tigre, which was bright, fresh, and packed with flavor. But the real star of the night was the whole branzino absolutely phenomenal. And for dessert? Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the options. We ordered one of each for the table and genuinely could not pick a favorite because every single one was that good. Hands down one of the best dining experiences we had in Puerto Rico.

And most important of all, the four-legged Front of the House Manager aka Rufus, was a delight! The Branzino and Picanha were to DIE FOR!! Restaurants barely serve picanha, so this was a wonderful treat and the steak was so well cooked and had the perfect crust. The branzino was cooked perfectly. This is a meal my boyfriend and I walked away from saying that we'd remember for the rest of our lives. We don't plan to stay in Luquillo again, but we will definitely take the drive over to have another meal at Sama when we visit the island in the future. Thank you Sama!!

It was recommended by one of our tour guides so it is a great option for both locals and tourists. It had a nice atmosphere and very large menu with many different types of options. The Frutti di mare was one of the best pastas I've ever had! It had almost every type of seafood you could want. A great option for someone who wants to try a bit of everything. It was large enough to satisfy you but not too large where you have to take leftovers it back to your hotel. It also came with a salad and delicious bread. My husband ordered the yucafongo pollo, and was very impressed. It was also filling and well made. The drink menu also had a lot of options. I went with the sangria which was super tasty! It's more on the fruity side. Our service was great and we didn't have to wait long for a table or our food, although it seemed busy. Whether you live in the area or are just on vacation, I would recommended trying it out!

The service was a little confusing at first. We were seated and expected to access the menu through a QR code, which wasn't immediately explained to us. We initially expected traditional menus, so there was a bit of uncertainty before we realized how the ordering process worked. We were also seated near one of the air conditioning units, which made some members of our party feel a bit cold during the meal. However, once the food arrived, all of those concerns quickly disappeared. The food was incredible. Rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, every dish at the table was delicious. The arroz con pollo was honestly the best I have ever had in my life. It was perfectly seasoned, comforting, and packed with flavor. Every bite felt like authentic Puerto Rican cooking at its best. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and it made for a wonderful birthday dinner for my wife. While the service experience could be a little clearer and some seating areas may be colder than others, the quality of the food more than makes up for those minor issues. I would absolutely return on a future visit to Puerto Rico.

There is an uncovered patio with seating and straw-covered umbrellas. We did not have a reservation, but were able to get seated within 10 minutes of arrival. A reservation is a must. There is an area adjacent to the restaurant that sells the food items by the pound. This is one of the more expensive places to eat on this side of the island. The smell of the smoked meat and seasonings is intoxicating, drawing you in. I had a glass of lemonade, Caribbean Chicken Wings Ceviche, and a smoked tuna dip. My main course was the grilled lobster and fries. I sampled the cole slaw, red beans, and rice. The lemonade was very watery, as if it had been poured before and was ready for guests when they ordered it, since it was served quickly. Would take a pass on this. The Caribbean Chicken Wings were delightful. It has a sweet, smoky, slightly crunchy texture, with just a pinch of spice, heat, and flavor. I enjoyed this and did not want to share with family. The smoked tuna dip was delightful, not overly creamy, and retained the tuna's texture and flavor; I wanted to order another and would have appreciated a few more wings than what was served. The Ceviche was a little underwhelming but done well. I am on the picket fence on whether pineapple helps or hurts the dish, so I would pass on this when going back. The grilled lobster was beautifully presented. The spices and grilled marks were prominent and beautiful. The spices and flowers were just amazing, and they retained the lobster flavor despite the bold seasonings. The red beans and rice were well-cooked, but had very little flavor. This was disappointing given how ubiquitous this dish is on the island and the restaurant's ability. My son had the El Matahambre: "Kill your hunger" BBQ sandwich. Pulled pork, smoked bacon, BBQ sauce, and cheddar on a local bread called Mayorca. I sampled the pork. Tender, well done, seasoned, and perfect. This is a must-stop place. Remember to set a reservation, and that this is not a cheap place to eat. I want to go back soon, and I am wondering if they would ever consider chicken beyond the appetizer.
