    A beautiful, clean bathroom

This restaurant was the first restaurant I attended when I arrived in Puerto Rico. My family was already at the restaurant and had received some appetizers and the server quickly came over to our table to receive my husband and my order. The food and atmosphere was great. I ordered the Pechuga relleno con mofongo. Their mofongo was EXCELLENT. My stuffed chicken breast was also incredible and I couldn't eat the whole thing so I def took my leftovers home. My mom ordered the avocado stuffed with octopus and I was in heaven! The octopus was served ceviche style and was delicious with the perfectly ripe avocado. The avocado was basically the size of my hand! My husband enjoyed a breaded steak and our entire party was super happy with all our food. My only complaint would be that towards the end, our server seemed to kind of forget about us. I think he figured we were content with our food but we wanted some condiments and extra napkins and had to ask other staff. Not a huge deal but something to note. The restaurant was lively and bustling with conversation. Us Puerto Ricans love good food and to talk! lol It had a homey feel to it and the food did not disappoint. I could not have asked for a better experience as my first meal back in my homeland! I would highly recommend this spot - if you are a local, a native or a tourist! You'll love it! Gracias por la experiencia, El Tostón Criollo! La comida fue SUPER!

The food was amazing here! I had the Mofongo with Mero, and let me tell you, it was delicious. The server Victor was funny and really charismatic. The puertorican vibe was definitely present at this restaurant. If you are looking for good Criollan food, definitely swing by this place.

First restaurant after landing in puerto rico. Over it was good. The steak and shrimp was flavorful and perfect with avocado. I did not like majority of the things on the appetizer plate but I enjoyed trying all of it!

Fish tacos were really good. I recommend this place. Everyone was so nice here. I dropped my shooter on the floor I had in my pocket and the busser let me know. Instead of grabbing it. Such great food! Fish tasted delicious.

La comida es riquísima pero falló fue el servicio. Los empleados estaban hablando entre ellos al vernos entrar nadie se movió.

Service fail today. Employees talking and nobody pay attention to us. No soup spoons available they said. Food was good. No napkins, no service after serving main food.

I came here because I didn't know where else to go and other reasons not going to expose. We were 3 on a Thursday night, parking lot was full, we had beer, beef chunks and fried chicken chunk with breadfruit tostones (tostones de pana). This "tostones" will never be compare to those in Restaurante Raices in Caguas, flavorwise and portion wise....big difference. Everything was ok, at least the beef chunk were good, not dried and if I come back is because I did not find anything else and do not want to drive far away for food unless it is Chinese fast food restaurant.

My wife and her friend visited this restaurant on their trip to Puerto Rico. My wife is very familiar with and loves PR food. This is her review: The staff is very friendly here! Our waitress was attentive and helpful in answering questions. The food was delicious!!! I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a nice meal out. (Parking can be sparse. We had to park in the lot across the street.)

It was recommended by one of our tour guides so it is a great option for both locals and tourists. It had a nice atmosphere and very large menu with many different types of options. The Frutti di mare was one of the best pastas I've ever had! It had almost every type of seafood you could want. A great option for someone who wants to try a bit of everything. It was large enough to satisfy you but not too large where you have to take leftovers it back to your hotel. It also came with a salad and delicious bread. My husband ordered the yucafongo pollo, and was very impressed. It was also filling and well made. The drink menu also had a lot of options. I went with the sangria which was super tasty! It's more on the fruity side. Our service was great and we didn't have to wait long for a table or our food, although it seemed busy. Whether you live in the area or are just on vacation, I would recommended trying it out!

The service was a little confusing at first. We were seated and expected to access the menu through a QR code, which wasn't immediately explained to us. We initially expected traditional menus, so there was a bit of uncertainty before we realized how the ordering process worked. We were also seated near one of the air conditioning units, which made some members of our party feel a bit cold during the meal. However, once the food arrived, all of those concerns quickly disappeared. The food was incredible. Rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, every dish at the table was delicious. The arroz con pollo was honestly the best I have ever had in my life. It was perfectly seasoned, comforting, and packed with flavor. Every bite felt like authentic Puerto Rican cooking at its best. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and it made for a wonderful birthday dinner for my wife. While the service experience could be a little clearer and some seating areas may be colder than others, the quality of the food more than makes up for those minor issues. I would absolutely return on a future visit to Puerto Rico.

My wish that night was to find a place offering fried whole snapper and it was on their menu - and I even called ahead to be sure it was available that night. So I was hyped to try their snapper version, and it didn't disappoint. The vibe of the restaurant was that of a friendly neighborhood joint, possibly a bit retro time-wise. Service was prompt and informative. We both had cocktails, and Paige said it was one of the best whisky sours she's had. With the snapper - which was HUGE - I had an order of mamposeao, a rice and bean stew that was amazing. My wife's chicken parm also got a great review from her. We parked in the small lot directly in front of the restaurant, and there was an attendant to help with parking.

I tried the snapper but it was a bit on the dry side for my taste. It wasn't bad, but it just didn't have the moist texture I was hoping for.My fave dish I sampled was the shredded beef served in a crispy fried plantain cup(tostones rellenos de ropa vieja on the menu). The beef was tender, juicy, & packed w/ flavor. The crispy plantain added the perfect texture & really elevated the dish. The combo of the savory beef w/ the fried plantain worked so well together and made it the standout food I tried. The waitress was just ok (nothing particularly memorable). While the snapper didn't quite hit the mark for me, the shredded beef in the fried plantain cup was delish & stole the show. It was cool to check out the art & decor.
