I was disappointed that they were out of my first two options. My third choice was the chicken soup. I forgot the name of it, but it was delicious and filling. It came with a side of white rice and avocado. I would recommend it. My biggest complaint was the volume of the music. It was too loud.

El mejor ambiente, servicio excelente, la comida deliciosa. Ciertos días con música en Vivo. ¡Y se enciende la rumba al son del Vallenato!!

It was my first time eating Colombian food. The service was good. The waitress was friendly and the food just needed a little more season. What I loved the Pan de Bono and the empanadas de Maiz...I had to order extra. Yummy!

La comida que ofrecen es increíblemente mala. No sabía que alguien podía hacer una arepa tan mala. El resto de la comida fue igual de mala.

My hubby had the typical main Colombian dish--bandeja paisa and he said it was as good as the dish in a restaurant we frequent in the mainland US.

Lo mejor de Colombia a simple and humble place. extremely welcoming. Their fast service. My experience was unique, it is the true taste of Colombia in one place. My first appetizer was tripe soup; OMG, it was delicious, filling. I also tasted an almojábana bread that was like talking to God again. the bun was warm, with its characteristic cheese flavor. my favorite. Another dish that I was able to taste was the Santafereño ajiaco, it was delicious, but it lacked the capers and milk cream to be perfect. My star dish was the Bandeja Paisa, which was complete. Rice, beans, fried ripe plantain, pork rinds, roast beef, ground beef, avocado, fried egg, blood sausage and chorizo. The variety of Colombian juices is varied and wide, but I died slowly with Lulo juice. It was just perfect. Sweetness, acidity and frozen. Lina our waitress with the authenticity of the service made us feel at home. The Colombian atmosphere and decoration show the Latin roots and the originality of the place. When I return to PR, to the island of Encanto, I will surely return to this restaurant called Lo Mejor de Colombia. it's definitely the best

We ordered the fried eggs with ham - typical luncheonette food. It came out quickly. Staff was very accommodating to my son who wanted rice and beans for breakfast. Second time we were here we had lunch. I ordered the bistec with onions. Delicious once again. Portion size was great and prices even better. We started chatting it up with some of the servers (one of whom I think may be the owner?) Third time we were here was the morning before coming back home. I ordered the ham and Swiss sandwich. Food came out quickly. Great little sandwich! My son orders his usual rice and beans again. The food and service made Mandolin one of my top places to go to in San Juan.

Everyone was so friendly, chatty, and welcoming, creating a fun and authentic local experience. Breakfast was outstanding. We enjoyed the avena, a delicious Cubano sandwich, a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich, a mortadella sandwich, and, of course, an excellent cup of authentic Puerto Rican coffee. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. A special thank you to the staff for the wonderful hospitality. Great food, amazing coffee, and even better service made this one of our favorite breakfast spots. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in Old San Juan!

Talk about great food and service!…read more Although there's always a line to get in, it does move pretty quickly. Our server was very friendly and accommodating, especially since we were travelling with our child. The manager was also very accommodating and friendly. The menu is fairly simple. You choose a dish and 2 sides. First night, we ordered the blood sausage for an appetizer. I ordered the fried chicken with rice and beans as an entree. My husband ordered the mero (grouper). Surprisingly, the blood sausage was probably the best one I've tried so far. The chicken was fried perfectly, not greasy at all. The rice and beans perfect compliments to the dish. The grouper stole the show though. It was absolutely delicious, probably one of the best fish I've ever had. A few days after, we decided to have dinner here again after my son wanted to eat there. The waiter from the first night and manager recognized us (from the time before) and thanked us for coming back. This time, I ordered the mero with arroz con habichuelas. The grouper was even better than the 1st time I had ordered it. We also tried the juices (orange, passion fruit, tamarind, and soursop) and all of them were so fresh. We loved this place and wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

The restaurant is medium sized, so for the sake of space they make you wait outside for a table. Our group of 7 was seated pretty easily but it also wasn't too packed when we arrived. Their menu is written on a chalkboard and from my knowledge, they don't provide any physical copies. My table got a variety of things but me in particular, I ordered the Puerto Rican sampler. We split it between 3 people and they said it could feed 4 but hmmm, I'd be skeptical of that. I think no more than 2 comfortably honestly as a meal. The sampler was delicious though and had all the main things I wanted. The corn fritters were a hit and the steak was well cooked and seasoned. While the food was good, the wait was a little long and the service was mid (not bad but not the best we've had). Solid 4 stars

It's just that you're basically getting food truck vibes and what is essentially street food for a nice, full service price point. The food is hearty- you don't need to order much to get full. Stick to what this place is good at, arepas. They load it to the max and their assortment of sauces are pretty impressive. One thing I gotta say though, $10 for an orange juice is egregious at any level. I could be at the four seasons in Bali and that would still make me raise my eyebrows. Even then I ordered it like a doof and it was like 3/4 ice!! C'mon yall, just take it off the menu if it's like that. Overall, the 24-hour aspect is nice and the food is decent. I can see myself paying a premium after a long night out, but just watch what you get because that bill can run up quick.
