This place serves really good food. Most of the other Mexican restaurants I've tried around here are actually Tex Mex, which is fine, but not really representative of what you'd actually get in Mexico. This one actually captures much better the flavors of Mexico. I especially liked the salsa verde on my chilaquiles -- it had the same brightness and heat you'd get in Mexico City. Their drinks are also homemade and delicious. Went with a group of people with various experience with Mexican food and everyone was very happy with what they got. The only downside is that they seem to really be struggling with staffing. One lady seemed to be doing almost all the work. She was delightful and incredibly helpful but clearly overwhelmed without enough staff to help her. Our food came out slow, with at least 20 mins between the first and last person being served, and needed several corrections to get right. I'm not going to detract a star for this on my first visit because the food was really that good and I want to be fair in case that was just a one off thing but I also wouldn't go back with a group of more than 2-3 people next time. read more

As a vegetarian there are always less options for me. Did a takeout order of veggie tacos from El Rincon today and hands down one of the best I've had in a long time. Plus a little slice of a delicious Tres Leches cake makes it perfect. I also like the ambiance of the new location. Will be back for a dine-in. This is definitely an authentic place in town. I personally love the Chicken Tostadas, Lomo Tacos, Ceviche, Tinga and the Caldo Tlalpeno is all i want when I'm sick. My husband loves the Torta Cubana. It's nice that they have vegetarian/vegan options and a juice bar. You have to try the Hibiscus Water! They make it fresh! I really like the desserts and fruit cups as well. They sell flan, and tres leches cake. The owner is really sweet and although burritos are not on the menu, they will make one if the customer requests it. The meat is not fried, it's all oven baked and i absolutely love that. The green salsa is a must! I always take some home. I'm very impressed with this restaurant. It has a nice cafe feel to it. I will most definitely keep eating here. read more

This is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant in Columbus and top 3 restaurants overall in Columbus. It's actually authentic Mexican food instead of the more Tex-Mex restaurants that are common throughout the Midwest. The chicken chipotle torta/sandwich is amaze balls and the chicken tinga tostada has fresh avocado on top--sooo good! The horchata is made in house and the mocha tres leches is mmmmm good. Seriously, everything is delicious (well apart from the chicharron taco--not a fan). The restaurant is very clean. The only thing to be aware of is if you're on a time crunch, you'll want to order ahead, as sometimes service can be a little slow in house. Highly recommend for lunch, just order ahead! read more

We were delighted to discover El Rincon de las Delicias. The salsa and guacamole were homemade and flavorful. My husband opted for the chorizo taco and the steak taco both served on moist corn tortillas. They had a subtle spiciness. I opted for a chicken tamale with sour cream and green chili sauce. My favorite was the ceviche tostada. It was so fresh and citrusy. Just a great experience at an unbelievably affordable price. Hats off to the friendly staff. We will be back! read more

I have not physically been to this restaurant but had a to-go order from there today. Everything on the menu sounded good and after reading these reviews I definitely want to go to the restaurant sometime to try more! I got the pastor taco and verde tamale and chips & salsa. My total price was less than $10 and it was more food than I could eat in one sitting (and I can't wait until tomorrow when I get to eat the rest). We had 4 separate orders being picked up by one person and they were very accommodating and did all the orders separate so we could all get our right change returned to us. They also bagged each order individually and labeled it so we'd know who's was who's. I look forward to hopefully dining at the restaurant soon! read more

I loved the sweet girl taking our order. But the food is not anything to rave about. We ordered 2 quesadillas- one with steak and one with chicken. They both came out with chicken. The chicken tasted like it came out of a can. In fact I grew up on chicken out of a can and I would bet my life it did. Sorry but I love Mexican food, being from Texas, but this did not do a thing for me. The salsa was good and the sweet girl brought us strawberries on the house but I will not be returning unless I'm looking for a bland chicken in a tortilla and my taste buds aren't working. i love that they serve fresh fruit and veggie juices without adding any sugar. they have "exotic" meat options such as beef tongue, beef cheek, and beef stomach which aren't usually available at Americanized mexican restos. food is both excellent and authentic! read more

One of only 2 places to get fresh juice in Columbus and holy crap their camaron ceviche tostada is amazing.

It won't make sense if you've not been to Mexico, but I compare eating here to "having Sunday pitch-in after church in Mexico". You just imagine the ladies from the community back in the kitchen kicking out tostadas, salads, tortas, soups, etc. The first time I took my wife here, she took a bite of her tostada and her eyes rolled back...she slowed her chewing down (to savor the flavor) and I thought, "Bingo!" She's traveled to Mexico to study in the past, so I trust her sense for authentic. Nice place for a quick lunch that's about as close to authentic as you can look for. read more
