My absolute favorite Mexican place in town! Great burritos, tacos, and salsa! Staff is very nice!

This place doesn't look like much and it seems like a hole-in-the-wall kind of a place. The food is flavorful. I've eaten almost everything on the menu but my favorite items are the Sopes. They're flour pita tortilla built like a taco. They will them with pork, chicken, ground beef, or steak. I really do like them and getting them via doordash once again as I post this review. Staff is amazing and they keep moving. Another plus is from what I can see no one has their face in a cell phone like other local establishments. Thank you for the opportunity! read more

You can tell the meat quality isn't very good, but if you're in the market for a $2 taco, this is your place. Salsa is too salty. Took a friend of Mexican descent to this place who moved here to too long ago from the southwest. He said this was one of the worst places in town. Many others were better. After going to a few other different Mexican places in east Columbus, I think he's right. read more

Yes. Yes. Yes. Finally, a fantastic Mexican restaurant that keeps it simple, but amazing! There was six of us, including a vegetarian, so we all had something different! Tacos were delicious! We tried the steak & chorizo & chicken tacos! Delicious! Everything was fresh and flavorful! Arroz con pollo was amazing! Two of us had the seasoned pork burrito and veggie burrito. Both were relish!!!! They have tortas!!!! My son had the chicken torts and it was amazing! Chips & salsa make or break a Mexican restaurant. Their salsa was the best I have had at a restaurant. The listing originally stated that the location was permanently closed, so I was pleased to see an open sign in the window. The initial chips and salsa were good. I usually like my salsa thicker and chunkier, but I usually find this style in the more authentic taquerias, and I knew to save judgment for the main attraction. That being said, the chips were a 4.5/5.0 and the salsa 3.5/5.0. There was a plentiful selection of Mexican sodas and drinks. I opted for the pineapple Jarritos, while the others in my group got guava and tamarind. I am always in the mood for some authentic tacos, so that was the direction I went, but they also had "American style" and "Azteca" (with cactus). I had a pastor, asada, and chorizo taco with cilantro and onion. I also ordered a side of guacamole, which for the price, the quantity and quality was unbeatable. The tacos were flavorful and overfloweth with filling. The verde sauce had a good level of heat and flavor. Served with fresh lime and cucumber, the tacos were very filling and a much appreciated treat to the tastebuds. I will definitely return for this authentic experience. read more

This was our first time trying this place, and we were pretty optimistic after ready the reviews of the menus authenticity. I ordered the ARROZ CON POLLO. It was terrible. The rice was extremely bland with absolutely no seasonings...chicken tasted like boiled chicken...and the cheese sauce was like something you'd buy off the grocery store shelf. For being "authentic" it had absolutely no flavor. If I wanted Mexican food that tasted like this, I'd go to my grandma's nursing home on "fiesta night". Both my kids got chicken quesadillas and they barely touched them. Which anytime we go to L******'s here in town, the scarf them down. My whole ordered totaled about $55 and I completely regret it. Will never try this place again. First impressions are everything. read more

The place is a hole in a wall and I went in thinking it would be as good as some of the other small Mexican restaurants. But the the nachos were undercooked. Salsa had too much salt. Bean paste was flowing out of tacos and quesadilla was also sub standard. I won't recommend to anyone. read more

I ordered from DoorDash. Food was hot, that is about the only compliment that I can give. There is no flavor to either of the items that I ordered. The sopes was okay, I guess. The burrito is huge but is bland bland bland. Rice has no flavor. I also ordered some cheese sauce, it looks more like slightly thickened milk. The salsas that came with the meal are spicy as F@CK but have little flavor. I love to support local but I wish I would have ordered chipotle. read more

We ordered take out last week on a night I couldn't face cooking. The beef nachos are absolutely amazing. Perfect amount of cheese and toppings. You could easily make a meal out of the nachos alone. Tacos are authentic and served with cilantro and onions. We've been trying to find a local authentic Mexican restaurant....mission accomplished! read more

Dont waste your money. Though the Tacos are cheap, they are not that great, they use cheap meat ( you can still see nerves and veins through them) and they dont use the right ingredients. The Salsa is decent but the chips taste burnt and to top it all off, the waiter paid not attention to us , we had to remind him to get our drinks and brought them without ice. Guy had an attitude. There are many other places in St. Street to eat mexican, plenty. Go to any of them but this one. read more
