Hmm, this is not the same as any other Mexican restaurant I've been to in the US. No free chips and salsa! But they have complimentary margarita, which we didn't try. The chips they sell are good--thicker than the free chips you get from other Mexican restaurants and don't taste the same. The food is good. I got four tacos--I find them all slightly under-filled. Maybe it's due to inflation? My husband got quesadilla and it's quite small. The main reason of my giving four instead of five stars is: There's barely any cilantro on my tacos, and whatever cilantro I got doesn't look very fresh. No Mexican restaurant should go skimpy on cilantro!

I really enjoyed my food from here! However, I can't give it five stars because I didn't feel like I got bang for my buck. I ordered a quesadilla, and it was $10... I just didn't expect that I'd receive so little food. If I had know that, I would've just went to Taco Bell for a quesadilla for half the price. Service was fine, and I didn't really experience the ambiance because I had ordered takeout. Overall, I really enjoyed the food, but it was a bit expensive for that I had received.

Quick service, polite staff. Food lacked a little flavor. Presentation and speed was the reason I still rated them a 4. The food needed a little salt.

First time here and I was excited because I heard good things. Unfortunately, I don't think I would come back to this location. I wish I jotted down our server's name because he was friendly and bubbly, but I feel like he was stretched too thin because he checked on us maybe once, which isn't his fault. The food was mid and the free margarita, well, it's free so I shouldn't complain but it tasted like straight strawberry mix. The music and big parking lot were a plus!

Stopped here en route after grabbing gas at a nearby Wawa. Found the place on Yelp and my friend exclaimed that people he knew were always raving about El Limon- possibly another location. The service was great. I had a steak torta. Why am I on a torta kick lately? Yeah no idea here either. Anyway- it was phenomenal with perfectly cooked steak, lettuce, avocado and a fresh roll. There was also cheese and the steak was overflowing. Honestly I'd stop here again for the torta alone. My friend had a burrito which he felt was equally great. I'd be curious to try tacos or the burritos next time, though. Give them a shot!

Sufficient Mexican spot, wherever they are located. Keeps up to the standard quality of tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc. I personally prefer the Chicken burrito with mole sauce on top. However, everything I've gotten has been muy bein!

Been going here for a couple of years and they never disappoint. My go to's are usually chorizo tacos and Alambres with various meats. Today I tried a Cubana Torta for the first time and it was awesome! You get a huge portion! Do yourself a favor and give it a try next time you order.

My lady and I met up for dinner with a friend in town for an interview. I previously ordered a burrito from the establishment in Ambler that was quite delicious so I figured this place would be a good as well. We were seated immediately by friendly staff that let us choose our seats away from the door. I thoroughly enjoyed the tostados ordered (tinga, barbacoa, al pastor). Although I wish chips and salsa were standard as a free starter like at most Mexican restaurants but I guess the free margarita even things out. I wouldn't mind going back and checking out the rest of the menu.

El Limon - Norristown is another in the locally born chain of solid Mexican restaurants that seem to be expanding almost monthly. It is a smallish shop compared to most of the others, but the quality of the kitchen is just as high. I stopped in after an office meeting nearby. I found it decorated with colorful tables and carved back wood chairs depicting the beauty of the traditional town square with church steeples, red tile roofs and flowering bourganvillas. The Muzac was a bit too loud for dining, but surely the staff enjoyed it throughout the day. My lunch of their tacos dorado (golden fried tacos) was very interesting and tasty. Stuffed within the rolled "flutes" were mashed potatoes, grilled chicken, and cheese. The softness just behind the crunch was fun and unexpected. On top was the mix of lettuce, tomato and fresh crema found on every plate. The red salsa in the table rocket liberally applied brought it all together. Liked it alot. It was fairly priced @ $8.50, and filling enough to skip dinner tonight. Norristown has many Latin American restaurants to choose from. El Limon (The Lemon) is worthy of consideration for your pesos.

Quick cheap authentic Mexican food! Many great places in Norristown but everyone here speaks English and I have had no language barriers when ordering or asking questions. I've been to at least three places in Norristown where it has been a slight problem. Not that it's bad it just what happened. 2.75 for a taco authentic.25 more for supreme great deal. Alambre is a huge plate of meat and veggies best deal on the menu for 10$. I ordered chips and salsa for 4$ and it has been a huge thing of pick de

This last time was a challenge as my father is very picky and his dish was too spicy for him (actually quite flavorful, but not for him). Instead he just wanted coffee and cake. The server and manager tag-teamed and took care of the situation. He had an incredible tres-leches cake with a very tasty sweet coffee. When the bill came, no charge for the cake and coffee (I had his entree packet to go and thoroughly enjoyed it the next day). Always a joy to go there. Be mindful the atmosphere is lively and any birthday becomes a restaurant-wide celebration. Get the fish tacos or chicken enchiladas or go out with the molcajete.

The chimichangas had hot sauce poured ALL over and it was almost too spicy for my fiancée to eat. He got that before and didn't recall having all that hot sauce on it. My carne asada platter was not great. The steak was super over-cooked. It should've been taken off the grill like 8 minutes before. They could've give customers a bigger portion of rice. It's just upsetting how they treated a take-out order because it's not like we can return it. $48 for 2 meals that weren't great.
