This is a very authentic Mexican restaurant! My son had the carnitas quesadillas maiz(corn) and I had the same except with steak. Both delicious. It's more like a birria style, pan fried. The corn was excellent. Their salsas, brought to the table (three different types)are great. Highly recommend. read more

This place is so good. We go here for work lunch. It isn't too far from courthouse to drive. Everything is 13 bucks and the meat is so tender and perfect. Melt in your mouth pork however you want it. Quesadillas, tacos, tortas...all are packed with flavor. Fresh flavor. They have a couple booths to sit in. The place is quite small but the flavors are big! read more

Have been here twice and the hubby proclaims it delicious! The takeout carnitas bowls are generously sized and come with a handful of chips, plus sauces on the side. This place was a great find. I am new to the area and have been looking for some authentic Mexican food and I think I have found it. Their Carnitas is one of the best I've ever had. They do an amazing job preparing it in a variety of different ways, and it's always perfect every time. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. I like to dine in sometimes because the staff are very friendly and sociable. They will take the time to chat with you for a little while and make you feel welcome. They also make their own chorizo and sell it there so you can try it at home which I did and it was exceptional. This is now one of my favorite go to places when I have the urge for some authentic Mexican food. read more

Food is just phenomenal! Carnitas were hot and juicy and not greasy. Sides were delicious and even the tortillas were good! The best part was the service. I called in the order and the lady taking the order made sure to ask me questions so it was right. When my brother went in to pick up, she asked if it was the first time we ordered. This was the best Mexican food I have had since the first time I tried El Limon. That was years ago. Emiliano's has a more limited menu, as far as variety goes, but it makes up for limited variety by a million times due to the flavor and overall quality. Super nice people working here too. I have tried the pound of carnitas, carnitas quesadillas, and churros. EVERYTHING IS A GO! I love them, and will now begin to tip 30% every time. So, when you have a small menu and the main feature of that menu is in the name of your restaurant (i.e. carnitas) you figure that it should be pretty good. This place isn't kidding! My wife and I try carnitas at every Mexican restaurant or taqueria we go to (including many throughout NYC), but this was by far the best! It is clear that they knew what they were doing when they decided to launch a restaurant centering around their carnitas. I lived in Cali for over 20 years. So I've had real Mexican food. Been to a lot of Mexican Places to eat here in Philly and the surrounding areas. Nothing has come close to original until I went to Emiliano's. This is my go to place from now on whenever I want to have Mexican food. They are number Uno for me. Just had a burrito carnitas from here and it was absolutely delicious!! The pork is full of flavor and so juicy. The fresh jalapeños and red onions went perfectly with the burrito. I really hope this place dose well and makes it threw these tough times. I love authentic Mexican food, and this place dose it better than anywhere that I have been to in a LONG time! Such amazing quality food down to every ingredient. Of course the carnitas are cooked perfectly. Even the salsa that came with my quesadilla was impressive. I would eat here all the time if I could.
