First time visiting this location closer to home, and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. I ordered the churrasco with white rice, beans, and plantains. I asked for the steak medium, but part of it came out rare -- not even medium rare. The bright spots were the ambiance and the empanadas, which were very good. Unfortunately, the wait staff was pretty horrendous and seemed to go MIA on us for most of the meal. I asked for part of my steak to be put back on the grill, but more than 20 minutes later nothing came back. At that point I figured they had simply forgotten about it. Ironically, the piece of steak I sent back finally showed up right when I had to ask the manager for the bill and told him the waitress had gone missing. And that She never brought the steak back. I was really hoping for a great experience given the restaurant's rating above 4 stars, but it definitely didn't live up to that. The service was absolutely poor. Absolutely love this restaurant! I have gone for lunch dinner and even brunch on Sunday with a group of 13 people. All of our orders in that group of 13 were correct, hot, fresh, and beyond flavorful. The waitress never made it seem like we were an inconvenience if we needed something, and she was on top of our refills. I have gotten the Carne Asada burrito photo below, I've also got the breakfast quesadilla which is phenomenal, I've gotten Pollo la Plancha, and another chicken dish that is kind of like chicken Parm, but Latino style. read more

The music was going, everyone smiling, laughing, dancing and having a good time. Upon sitting, our waitress was quick to provide menus and take our drink orders. We decided to do a bucket of beers. I ordered a ceviche mixto and empanadas. Each bite was satisfying! My party and I sat near the back door. That area was not too far back against the wall and yet not so close to the band. The presentation was poor & being a foodie, I can taste the food before putting it in my mouth. When I got home, yes, I was right, totally tasteless. Only 1 pc of ripe plantains, no green plantain (as described on the menu); an erepa that tasted like it was days old; the same with the rice & beans. I hear the restaurant in Boynton Beach has more finesse than this one, so I will try that one at some point. This one, I'm afraid I won't visit again. And watch your bill. Excellent dinner here the other night. Thank you to Quinn for her good review -- as it enticed us to come here -- and we are so glad we did. As stated, the restaurant is on the east side of jog road heading north. It's much bigger inside than you would guess -- including a bar, bandstand area, speakers everywhere, booths, high tops, and regular tables. Ample free parking in the small strip center lot out front. The menu is large and frankly it was hard to decide what to order. Many styles of Latin cuisine are represented -- Peruvian ceviche, familiar Cuban dishes, and other south and Latin American fare. I chose their medium size whole fried snapper. It came with salad and tostones. Even the salad was good -- I liked the dressing; and the tostones were very good: soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside (sometimes they taste like cardboard). The fish was huge! I know if I order this in the future, I could get the smaller size. And the fish was very good. Crispy skin and flavorful white meat. Plenty of lime slices to squeeze on top. Yum. My husband got their roast pork (lechon asado). The meat (his words) was tender, juicy, flavorful along with sweet slices of onions. For sides, he had yellow rice and sweet plantains. He devoured every bit. We took some caramel flan home to share for dessert as we were both so full from our meals. It was a nice light sweet ending to an evening with very good food and good service. Really cool Spanish with a wide variety of Hispanic food. A lot of it is toned down to appeal to general population. I had the ceviche and normally it is spicy, but it was not. The environment is really authentic which allows for live music and entertainment along with karaoke and a live dance floor. Great place to bring family and defienda if you are going to party, not a good place to go for a quiet place to eat at night. Food was average, a wide variety of dishes, but nothing super special. I just went to this restaurant for the first time today for lunch. I was so glad I did. I just wanted a light lunch and their lunch menu fit the bill. I ordered the steak tacos with lentil soup. Both were quite delicious. My waitress was very prompt and friendly. The restaurant itself is a nicely decorated clean facility. They have a large bar that I am sure is quite popular in the evening. Yup, I will return as often as possible. I went here during lunch on a weekend day, it wasn't busy we were seated right away and greeted with a smile. The place is huge on the inside, a stage, bar area and private dining. They host an array of weekly night and weekend events such as karaoke and ladies night. Myself and my coworker ordered a paella and chicken dish with a side order of empanadas. Everything was served hot fresh and full of bursting flavors!!! The portion sizes for lunch are very large so you could share with someone but if you are like me you really don't want to. The waitress was super nice and helpful. The manager Edgar even came out to check on us! I loved the food so much I ordered from the catering menu... Yesss they cater. The will now be catering my upcoming luncheon at the City of Greenacres and sorry rsvp's are now closed! So this little gem is tucked in away from the semi run down look of the plaza. We found it by driving by one day. After a full day of putting up Xmas lights, we were not so great in appearance and was starving. Decided to come here, walked in, and felt so underdress. White cloth tables with a nice decor and subtle ambiance. First thought was hmm how come we haven't been here before. Let's get to the food and drinks. Margarita was Meh, wasn't great for me although it was very strong. The Mojitos was good and so was the red wine. I had a special of the day which was the Fried Red Snapper with salad and tostonas. It was delicious. Not as good as Don Ramons snapper but it was still yummy. The Sanchoco soup was delicious. I'll eat that alone if I can. My hubby ordered some big dish and it was all tasty. We were among the half dozen or so Early Bird Diners inside, (we chose to dine early as to avoid any crowding). Spaced out in the large interior of the restaurant was plenty of tables and seats available. The delicious smells wafting out from the kitchen got my taste buds dancing! The menu is quite extensive and has many choices of Beef, Poultry, Pork, and Fish dishes, and they do offer some vegetarian dishes as well. All of my traditional dishes were listed. I chose the Lechon with Yellow Rice, Black Beans and Maduros for my entree. I was excited to see that they also had Fresh Passion Fruit Juice as a drink option and I ordered a glass of my favorite beverage. A large glass of Passion Fruit juice was delivered as we waited for our meals. My wife enjoys "Pargo" so she ordered a whole fried snapper for her entree. As our food was brought to the table, I could my wife's eyes light up and she smiled as they delivered her whole snapper... this one weighing in at 2 pounds plus, easily. I've been trying to go to this restaurant for a while and finally made my way there. The tostones with pork was the absolute BEST! The lomo saltado was ok, defiantly not like your typical Peruvian restaurant, I rate it 4/10. My husband had the rice beans and pulled pork and he liked it. The waitress was nice. Would I return? Found this on the way to Orlando, my fiancé was craving a chicken milanesa and since this place had good ratings we decided to check it out. It did not disappoint. We sat at the bar since we were in a bit of a rush, the bartender brought us a menu right away and was very friendly. My fiancé ordered the chicken milanesa and I ordered the bandeja paisa. Both were very tasty . The steak on the bandeja paisa wasn't the best I've had, but it wasn't bad, just a preference thing. I was a bit mad at myself because I didn't check in on Yelp before leaving and then realized that they have a 20% discount for checking in. Lesson learned! I guess I'll have to go back :) read more

I wanted to do a review on the Boynton Beach location, but I couldn't find a page for that, so here it goes! Located near the intersection of Gateway Boulevard and Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach, Sabor Latino has been open for only about 3 months. It is a beautiful and elegant restaurant, with a spacious outdoor bar, a charming interior bar, and a stage for live performances. On one occasion, I was there on a Sunday night with a couple of friends. Lovely Spanish music filled the air as we watched the sunset from our outdoor table. I fell in love with the place As for the menu, they feature cuisines from across the map! From Cuba to Puerto Rico, and from Venezuela to Ecuador. Their menu is especially heavy on cuisine from Mexico, Colombia and Peru. Over three visits, I sampled a few of their menu items and drinks. My introduction to Sabor Latino began with the Ceviche De Concha Negra. This was Ecuadorian style ceviche made of black conch, marinated in a mixture of lime juice, tomatoes and cilantro and topped with slices of fresh avocado. I loved the chewiness of the mollusk meat, the texture reminiscent of escargot. After seeing one of my favorite dishes on the menu, I ordered the Peruvian style Lomo Saltado. Originating from the Chinese immigrants who came to Peru to work the plantations in the late 1800s, this is a stir fry dish of beef, tomatoes, bell peppers, red onions and soy sauce. The mixture is piled on top of French fries and is sided with white rice. What made this version unique was that the skirt steak used in this dish was marinated in cilantro sauce, giving the meat a savory and pleasant piquant. At another time, I tried the Ceviche de Pescado, chunks of Peruvian style Tilapia, marinated in Leche de Tigre, lime juice and cilantro. Sided with a portion of corn on the cob, it was a cool and refreshing appetizer. This paired well with my beverage, an invigorating hangover cure called a Michelada Sabor Latino. This is a blend of Corona beer, Clamato juice and spices. Since it was a Sunday, the soup of the day was Colombian style Sancocho de Gallina. Because it had been a very long time since I had that, I decided to order a bowl. It was a rich and hearty broth loaded with on-the-bone hen meat, potatoes, yucca, green plantains, sweet potato and corn on the cob. The taste of the soup was so delicious and satisfying. For my main course, I ordered a Colombian classic called Bandeja Paisa. This consisted of a portion of thinly sliced grilled sirloin steak, topped with a fried egg. On the side was a Colombian chorizo sausage, a strip of deep-fried pork belly, a bowl of pinto beans, and a small mound of white rice. This was sided with a fried green plantain, a sweet plantain and a white corn arepa. This is one of my favorite Colombian dishes and I really enjoyed it. Very rarely am I impressed by a restaurant from the moment that I walk in through the door. The atmosphere, the food and the good service all came together at Sabor Latino to create a place that I will want to go to over and over. This may even become my new favorite hangout! read more

We went here very last minute on a Thursday night and were pleasantly pleased by a lot! The music was great! Not a lot of places have good music (or live) on a Thursday. The food was good! We will go again. I took off a star for a few minor things. The mojito was just OK- they tried to make it again but it just wasn't good- I didn't drink it and paid $12 for it (In all fairness, I never asked for it to be taken off)then on this app, it says if you check in, it will give you a discount of 20% but that expired in 2016. "Sir, how much is my total," HIM: $96 something I said, "excuse me".. so we went over the order and I said yes it's because I ordered lunch Ropa Vieja, not the dinner portion which is available usually after 5 PM it is during the middle of the day good man and I MADE SURR I DID specify. So he goes OK your total is $76. I'm thinking that is still high... I've worked in some of the best establishments in palm beach county. I have taken a lady in a wheelchair to Publix five blocks away to use the restroom because ours was out of order during my shift. I know what services is and I know what hospitality is.. soI'm like OK bye.!! I hang up the phone I do the math I add the sales tax in the bill should be $56 and change. I called back up and I'm like I'm just gonna make sure that we understood each other correctly because with my addition, I am only calculating $56 with a sales tax, and we went over the order again, and he goes oh because of the sauce, the salsa, I said, how much is that he said $8.99, I said, " the next time someone asks you for extra sauce, if there is a charge, you need to let them know. $8.99 for extra salsa. So then I said well where is the extra $10, I said you know what just cancel everything bro." I tip 50% every time I go in there I order the same thing every time I go in there, I don't like trying to be taken advantage of just cause you want me to think you keep 'misunderstanding me. I had shrimp in a spicy sauce, Served with pinto beans and rice. It was very good. One problem that concerns this app. I was shown a coupon for 20% off the entire meal. The only problem was that it was good between April 7 and May 7, 2016. I called our waiters attention to this. His English didn't allow him to grasp the concepts. I asked for the manager, who never showed. This should not happen. In spite of this glitch in the app and their inability to deal with it I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. How is it possible that S. L. has been open for seven years and I just discovered it today?! Please don't let the shopping center fool you. This is one of the nicest Latin restaurants in Palm Beach County. We went for breakfast and were delighted with excellent coffee, delicious food and attentive service. The ambience and music was great. Picado was about $19, my friend was hungry for a lot of meat and definitely worth it. the steak was PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned. I ordered a chicken quesadilla with shrimp added, and I enjoyed it very much. I think they were generous with the portion of shrimp and it was a great value for the price. The guacamole and pico de Gallo to accompany my quesadilla was fresh. I came on a Friday evening. Like I said, great ambience, our waitress did a great job. My only complaint is that the music was SO LOUD i had to yell in order for my friend who was sitting right next to me to be able to hear me. Communicating to the waitress was also an issue because of the music level and the masks, but if the masks weren't there it would probably be easier to understand her. Overall I had a great experience with customer service, the value of the food, and the environment and I will be returning with family and friends, but I hope they can adjust the noise level a little bit. read more
