Went for takeout last night got two orders each of the fried tilapia and grilled pork chops. I also got the seafood soup. The platters came with an abundant amount of rice and beans. They both had fried plantains and came with a very well put together side salad. The soup also came with rice. Everything came with lime, salad dressing, and stuff. It was delicious as a to go meal. Next time I'll eat inside. I didn't take pics of the food. I totally forgot. Service was great - the wait staff were friendly. The seating area was nice too. One of the tastiest ceviches and humitas I've had in a while!!! If you're Ecuadorian/Latin or just love our food, you will really enjoy this place! Super authentic menu! The food is good but no amount of good food can make up for the abismal service. We waited for thirty minutes for the server to even acknowledge us once she did she had an attitude. We ended up getting our order taken by the manager then proceeded to wait another thirty minutes for the drinks and an hour for the food by the end of it we were so upset we just told them to cancel the order paid for our drinks and left. To make the situation worse my mother went to complain to the owner after I paid for the two sodas my mother went to take the sodas which I had already paid for and he said we could not take the bottles which I had already paid for my mother told the owner to please call the cops because what he was doing was stealing. He refused so we ended up leaving thirsty hungry and a couple of dollars lighter. read more

Neighborhood gem for South American flavors! Fresh food, lightly seasoned, and not greasy. Homecooked feel and service. My first time checking it out, we had toasted bread at the table w/ a creamy-vinegar based dipping sauce rather than chips & salsa you'd get at a typical Mexican establishment. Nice change of pace, and glad they're staying authentic to their Ecuadorian roots. We ordered the Chaufa rice which was very good. I got hooked on it after first having it at Jose Garces's Chifa in Philly (now closed) and then the real thing during a work trip to Peru. Big serving with plenty of protein and veggies. Ordered individual servings of their tamal (excellent) and empanada (excellent as well). The latter looked like it might be dry, but far from it. Nice and crispy, again w/o being greasy, with flavorful cheese filling. My gold standard for empanadas on the Western Main Line are the ones that Mi Pais serves, but they're Columbian, so if you're looking for a regional variety, these are quite good! Lastly we ordered the grilled trout on the waitress's recommendation. Wanted to try the red snapper since that's typical for the seaside in Ecuador, but the trout was cooked perfectly and very tasty. I'm not a fan of tomato based ceviches, but will give them a try next time we come back. Overall, great experience and hope this place continues to do well! Honestly this place was absolutely amazing, my husband is from Ecuador and we do not live in the area so I was looking for a place for us to eat dinner after he got back from work and picked us up from hotel by the time that was all set and done I thought it was gonna be too late to eat here But we made it so we're about to make a phone order to pick up but they said no it was fine they would stay open so they served us another group came in as well so to me that was just awesome but the food however was absolutely amazing the atmosphere was great there was no rush even though we literally got to the restaurant 10 minutes before closing, child friendly as well my 3 year old loved her food! My husband loved it as well. Definitely recommend this place I tried something new which was the bandera dish amazing! As well as very clean. read more

The restaurant is well renovated, spacious, clean and very cozy. It was a definite surprise to see. This is probably my favorite Ecuadorian/latin american food place. The food is exquisite, not to mention that the place is clean and looks new. There are several tables inside the restaurant and every single one of the is big and neatly clean. The staff is very respectful and attentive, they speak good english and there are images that show you what to expect in terms on food. There are a variety of desserts and bread. This restaurant is in the location formerly occupied by La Marqueza Mexican Grill. I went there with my family not knowing this and having one of those Entertainment Book coupons but the lady said she would not accept it. She wasn't obligated to, but some kind of compensation would have been nice. The menu is very basic (tacos, burritos, a few meals) and inexpensive. The food was not as flavorful as we would have liked and the service was a little spotty (it took forever for my chicken burrito to come up). They didn't accept Credit Cards (I am pretty sure the old restaurant did) and had to hunt for an ATM. There are a couple other Mexican places right up the street from here that are usually better and do accept plastic. I would be more inclined to go to those other places if Mexican I must. read more

Definitely a location that you want to visit when you're in the mood for some great Authentic Latin cuisine. I work about the Delaware County area and have visited the location many times during a work week because I'm in the mood for some good food, that won't break the bank. If you're in the mood for "Chipotle" definitely don't visit here because you're going to receive the authentic treatment and not the "fake" corporate culture. El Rinconcito was like stepping into little Ecuador. They had an extensive menu of the most popular Ecuadorian dishes. I ordered the Caldo de Bolon de Verde and it tasted like the ones I order in Ecuador. They also have an array of traditional Ecuadorian breads and pastries in addition to empanadas and other treats. Definitely reminded me of home. Wait times are on the longer side, but that just adds to the authenticity and reassures you that the food is fresh. Highly recommended! read more

After living as a volunteer for a year in Guayaquil, Ecuador, I was longing for some authentic South American food. This place hits the nail on the head, delivering a delicious and affordable meal that compares to the homemade lunches I enjoyed in Ecuador. They even have Ecuadorian sodas! Definitely transported me back to the best time in my life. Know ahead of time this is NOT Mexican food (despite what the yelp description may say)!!! Don't show up and expect tacos, only to be disappointed and leave a bad review like some of these other yelpers. Instead, try the riquísima Ecuadorian cuisine. I highly recommend the seco de pollo, always a favorite of mine, with a side of patacones. I live in New Jersey and only found the place via a friend's recommendation, but would definitely make the 90 minute drive to enjoy this place again. read more

This place has fantastic AUTHENTIC Latin food. I work around Delco and have stopped here several times this week because the prices and food is so good. It's not some boring corporate recreation of "Mexican" food, this place has real culture.
