I was heading there to eat. Parked in front of their place, where it literally said exclusive parking for El Rincon Que No Conoces, and a blonde tall waitress came out screaming at me saying that I couldn't park there to go to the restaurant next door. I just opened the door and hadn't even gotten out of my car. There was no way she could have known if I was going to the other restaurant or not. So I proceded getting out of my car to go to El Rincon Que No Conoces and before I could even open my mouth she yelled that she was calling the cops and that they would tow my car away. Great food but awful service by waiter Jorge. We ordered appetizer and asked if our kids' meal could come out first, but they served our entrees first then the appetizer and lastly our kids meal last only after we asked for it. Waiter Jorge did not even check on us not even once if we were doing good. After we asked for the check he calmly sat down to eat and left us waiting 45mins. for the check and when we asked for it he was indifferent about it. To make matters worse the check was wrong, with items we didn't order and we had to get up and ask for it to be revised. In all, awful service but good food but the bad service will probably make me never go back. Valet parking is good though. read more

I haven't been to this restaurant in over 3 years and when my family decided to dine there tonight I was ecstatic. However, at the end of our evening I don't think I'll ever return again. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews but the service we received this evening was terrible. We were a party of 6 and after we placed our entree orders the server asked if any of us wanted "aguacate" to accompany our meals and we had to repeatedly had to tell him no because he kept pushing us to order it. One of us ordered the salmon on the menu. When all our meals arrived the salmon didn't show up until all five of the rest of us were done with our meals. The server or manager didn't bother to tell us that the salmon was taking longer than usual. They didn't sincerely apologize for the salmon being delivered more than 10 min after everyone else's meals and they didn't even offer a glass of house wine for the inconvenience. What I assume was the manager (blonde lady), kept blaming the kitchen for the salmon being out late. After we told her we wanted it to go because that person in our party lost their appetite due to the wait they still didn't get the hint that we were upset about it. She kept saying that if they had waited for the salmon the rest of our food would've been brought out cold (then they should've re-fired the meal in the kitchen if that was the case). The whole situation was mismanaged. They didn't do any sort of guest service recovery for their mess up. Will not return unless they fix their service quality. read more

We tried this place on a whim (and an empty stomach) after the nearby restaurant Burbujas was closed on a Monday. We were initially reticent -- the place was empty, but the servers were nice so we went in. Overall, I'd say the place is pretty decent. We ordered two pisco mango cocktails and an order of yuca frita to start. The cocktails were really tasty. Not exactly traditional (having been to Peru, I think I know what a pisco sour should taste like), but tasty nonetheless and not a terrible value at $7/each. The yuca frita was really disappointing. There were exactly five thin pieces for $8! This was a terrible value, and I would absolutely not order it. The restaurant redeemed itself with a solid mofongo and a tasty dessert. We both ordered the standard monfongo relleno de pollo ($14), which was overall very good. The chicken was tender and not overcooked, and the monfongo mixture was really delicious. The portion size was fine. At the end, we split some sort of a dulce de leche dessert. It tasted almost like salted caramel, and was really nice. The whipped cream might have been in the fridge too long (was a bit stiff in an unnatural way), but the core of the dessert was great. Interestingly, they added a 15% tip onto the bill for a party of two. Very strange. But their loss, as we normally tip 20%. The total for everything was $74. NOTE: Menus are only in Spanish, and only one of the servers seemed to speak decent English. I speak Spanish, but an English-only crowd might have a hard time here. read more

Mussels were tasty, as well as the ceviche in ají amarillo. The "small" ceviche is actually quite a lot! Even the coffee was good. Doris provided excellent service, friendly and efficient. This was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend. read more

Great service and the food was amazing! For a cheap price too!!!!! Mix Peru /pr/asian food. It is on a strip of other restaurants too. I came here with a my bf and his parents. We enjoyed and ate every plate very quickly. The seafood fried rice is a must!!!!! We ordered a few appetizers m, bBy eels, chicken /shrimp; steak ; drinks were their lemonade. We cleared every single plate! We came alittle late, they close at 10 and we finished at 10:30. The waiter and the owner was extremely friendly and nice. We will def come back with a larger group. I'm not sure if tourist people come here but this is a nice spot to eat if you guys are looking for cheap, good food. :) only a 15 min drive from the San Juan strip! read more

I have a buffet and my girl the tacu tacu, the tacu tacu was not the greatest but it was the biggest one yet by far. The buffet had arroz con pollo, another rice with meat, rice with seafood, some kind of fish in a peruviam sauce, oyster, bread to name a few, good but not great for 23 bucks. This place is terrible. The food tastes weird and uncooked (not talking about ceviche) and old or something. We went on one of his "famous" Sunday buffets. The food was COLD or LUKEWARM! $30 buck a person? The ceviche was ok, but the rest of the food was terrible. I even saw ONE OF THE WAITERS coming back with food from MCDONALDS! You figure if you worked in a "gourmet" restaurant, you'd eat the leftovers from the "gourment" buffet. Nope, Mcdonalds! Man, besides the stomach pain from cold, improperly cooked food, I'm gonna feel the $60 waste of money for awhile. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! Johnson--- p.s. Excellent place to eat. The churrasco is awesome, and better with arañitas. Also you should try arroz chaufa, causa, ceviche with tostones. To drink you should try pisco sour, the waiter prepared it himself and it was superrr awesome. Btw he was excellent!!! read more

Watch out, they wanted to charge DOUBLE Tip. They Almost got way with it. I always went to the on Cupey and loved the food and service. I went with my family to the one on Guaynabo and the food was OK but not delicious like in Cupey and in smaller portions. The service was OK but nothing exceptional. When the waiter brought the receipt I noticed the tip was included (which is illegal), he heard me telling my husband and told me it was optional. Anyways I was going to leave him the tip but in Cash. I gave the waiter the tip in Cash and gave him the ATH to pay for the food. My husband went with him but when he came back and gave me the receipt, the waiter charged the tip. I went to him and ask him why he charged the tip and kept the Cash. He didn't tell me anything that if I wanted the Cash, I asked that he made the transactions as asked. He went to the ATH machine and press a button and told me he couldn't do anything and stared at me. I told him to give me back the Cash since he didn't want to make the change. He didn't seem sorry nor wanted to give back the money in any way. This really ruined the evening for us, my family told me to never come back and I'll do just that. read more
