This is a nearly $20 quesadilla that looks like the size of a taco food is good so I'd be back but a little disappointed for the price point

The quesadilla tasted great! My server Sisa was very friendly, attentive and got my food quickly. I was sitting in a secluded booth that had a private and cozy feel. I enjoyed eating here and will definitely come back.

Large pozole (disappointed with meat portion)

This review comes from my recent experiences lately. As I'm a regular customer who dines about every two weeks here. I have to say the food is good, however the portions have not been generous enough. I usually have a pozole soup on weekends. One item combo during week. For the price of the large pozole and for two pieces of meat was disappointing. The quality of one item combination comes down when plate is overly microwaved and rice becomes hard and beans over heated, hence the hot plate when it arrives to your table. Service has fell off big time with faces of waitresses all the time. It takes long to get drink order ready, by that time I'm ready to place my food order and don't need to wait for a menu. It's really a hit or miss who you get as a waitress as some are more decent than others. I've been going to the Noble location for years now and nothing has been remodeled and is outdated. However they did get new flooring during covid. With the Mooney location closing it would be nice to have a fresh update on booths/tables.

Nachos galore. Picture does no justice how big it is.

Great food, great service and love the decor. Family and friends git together for Friday lunch and it was blast. Chips and salsa kept coming and the salsa was soooo good. My son hacked it three bowls. It's a great pit stop going or coming back from Sequoia national park.

My birria tacos. They're not on the menu; it's listed on the special board.

There used to be 2 locations: one on Noble and the other on Mooney. I swore I'd never go back to the Noble location after spending 20 minutes trying to get a table. I felt I was being ignored and the only reason I could come up with is my race. I have no tolerance for racism. It took me a few years to return, as well as the fact their Mooney location closed. So, what do I think? The service has improved considerably. I was promptly seated and staff made sure my order was okay and my drink was refilled. And this is one of the few restaurants that serves birria tacos. And they were terrific. They were filled with carne asada and some type of white cheese. But there's something missing. Although efficient, no one seemed happy. It was very business like. In a town filled with Mexican restaurants, ambience is important.

Didn't even try the food, walked in and Instantly was hit with a foul sewer smell. Walked out after that.

El Rosal has been a family favorite for over 15 years! A go to in Visalia! There's so many great dishes, hard to go wrong!

Delicious food and friendly service! We love their chips and salsa. The margaritas are well made which makes it hard to stop at just one.

Delicious food and nice ambiance! The owner came by the table to check on us which was nice. It's a favorite place for Mexican food.

It's a small brown building with a small parking lot next to it. It's nice though that its open at 0630 so that the nightshift hospital staff can come here and decompress or send me off on my last day. First thing you notice about this place is the smell of urine from the bathrooms. You get use to it after a bit. As well as the "regulars" hanging out at the bar area. It's extremely small. Area for a pool table, some tables at the far end by the bathrooms, and a long bar counter. At least the tvs are nice and clear and big to watch games or sports as need be. There was a good 18 of us here. Prices are rediculously cheap. I'm glad they understand it's a dive bar and should thus be dive bar prices. A michelada was $4. A mimosa was $5. Bag of chips was $1. They have these sour candy shots for $4. The sour candy shots were really good. Michelada was simple. Bloody Mary mix with beer. But they were well made. I also had a crown royal apple with redbull that was really good. I don't remember how many drinks we went thru but it did the job and we were all feeling good. Customer service is good. Dude working behind the bar worked fast. I hear this place is pretty good when the sun is up, but has a pretty rough reputation at night with lots of shady people coming in at night. I definitely wouldn't come in here by my self even in the day time. But with a large group it's pretty cool. Nice and cheap. If you don't mind the urine smell and dilapidated look.
