Shrimp ,Octopus , & Abalone Cocktail!! As you can see it is packed!

Lydia that works the bar area and is also the bartender makes the best margaritas! They aren't cheap but has all the garnish. Like their Taco Wednesday and get their fish tacos. Ask for the green salsa, that works the best with the fish! Today it was 107' degrees in Visalia, CA so I wanted to have something cool & refreshing! I chose to get their 3 combination of shrimp, octopus, and abalone!! Not often you see abalone on the menu. Started with cheese and chicken quesadilla to have as an appetizer. Lydia is fast & attentive watching over the whole bar. Restaurant area was full tonight with a couple of parties. What I ordered is 4.5, But I too look for authentic food, and some items are Americanized and could have more flavor.

Not the best experience. The one bright side was it was Friday night and busy but they sat us right away. To start we did get chips and salsa quickly but then it went downhill. We ordered drinks and waters. I'll chalk it up to not being a regular, but the couple that came in 10/15 mins after got their drinks before us (both water and bar drinks). No one came to check on us for about 20 mins but the couple next to us was chatted up and hugged, then greeted by 4 different staff members. Finally got our drinks and they were wrong. We had to stop someone to take our order. I might be petty for counting but we were checked on once, the other couple I counted 10 times; they were literally 4ft away from us. With all that said, ambiance was nice, the chile verde I ordered was not spicy, more sweet but I will say still good. Portions were a little small but enough. Flautas were 6/10. Bar drink was 4/10. Not sure if I come back as I'm closer to other Mexican restaurants and I'd figured I would give this a try

This place is absolutely amazing, we have been coming here for years and love the food, ambiance, service, and attention to detail. Everything here is made with 100% organic ingredients, fresh produce, this place is the epitome of farm to table movement. If you are interested in eating excellent Mexican cuisine, make this place your first and only stop. The service while it can take a little longer to get your food; is worth every minute once your order arrives. The bartender is also excellent at making drinks that will elevate your food just that much more. Support your local restaurants, and make Azul your next stop!

Food was dry and lacking flavor. Paid too much for a meal neither of us enjoyed nor finished.

I really like the meat they use for their tacos, they taste more premium and fresh than other places. I'm wimpy when it comes to spicy food so I always order no sauce on mine lol. Lately I've been ordering the loaded nachos with no beans! Super filling, it's really good if you you're looking for something snacky yet filling at the same time. Sign up for their loyalty program to earn points, get discounts, and get notifications on any deals they are having! I don't go inside often but when I do it's clean looking and feels spacious! I would give 5 stars but ordering "no beans" seems to always throw the entire staff for a loop. 50% of the time they mess up my order and I have to give it back and wait for them to remake it. Other than that everything is great! If they can get my order right more often I'd be more than happy to give them 5 stars!

I had a delivery driver who also happened to pick up my orders from here. We got to talking about other spots in town and I mentioned this place and he says, "ohhh you're THAT Frank". Automatically I'm like "uh oh" lol. Now before you start wondering "two sides to every story"; here's mine. I order a burrito combo with a large limonada. I ask for my burrito with just meat and rice, sometimes onions. I ask for it to be grilled. I asked for (2) to (3) serrano peppers on the side. Before they "disappeared" off of GrubHub, they had a button on their page for sauces. They don't charge for them on the app and don't have a quantity cap, so i usually ask for around (4) to (5) green and the same in habanero. The burritos are big and I'm a salsa kind of guy lol. If 10 sauces overall is too much, then that's fine. At least give me something lol. I've been given (0) or (1) at times. My burrito is 50/50 sometimes grilled, sometimes not "mostly not", they will forget my drinks from time to time. When i ask the driver, they say they weren't given a drink. My food has come cold, the meat has been chewy and fatty. I've had to get refunds on orders because of the quality. So I always ask the drivers to make sure my drinks are there and my sauces are in the bag. But here I've been, coming back cause i was genuinely a happy customer more times than not. Then to randomly hear from a delivery driver who's picked up your orders from here before, you've been talked "sh$t' about. So much that he even contemplated telling me "DONT ORDER FOOD FROM HERE". This is a place you've given business to on a regular basis! It's disheartening and it hurts. My last review was even a good one lol. Needless to say I'm not coming back. Pretty messed up too, cause i was happy to see them come to town since i first encountered them in Bakersfield. Oh well.. talk all the crap you want now, hope you read this. I know one customer ain't no love lost. But now everyone will know how they're being treated behind their backs. Better places in town to find.

For 1 burrito and 1 taco with tip, came out to around $33. Don't do delivery from here. The Burrito was not very good. The meat was almost like ground beef in texture but also non existent at the same time. I tasted more beans than rice but even then, it was more of a soupy burrito with a tortilla that you had to rip at and hope each bite wouldn't undo the whole burrito. There was some kind of salsa inside it that wasn't apart of the description. It gave it an off flavor. Al Pastor taco was meh. The corn tortillas tasted homemade, which was nice. But the meat was stringy, kind of fatty and an off color almost a light orange. It tasted better than the asada but still wasn't very good. I do appreciate they followed my request for extra salsa, but these packs look like they come from a frozen dinner you get at the store. Absolutely off putting. The flavor was "ok" but nothing special. Overall, not worth it. $33 and I was left with an upset stomach. I had such high hopes! I haven't been in a long time and was hoping it would have been an amazing experience. I was wrong. I gave 3 stars cause I do appreciate them following the special instructions most other restaurants don't. But that still can't justify the food.

We were sat down with menus, given chips, salsa, and water, and told to place our menus at the edge of the table when ready. The server came by several times while we were still deciding, and when we finally told her we planned to split a burrito, she gave us an odd look and commented that it "might be a reasonable size to share." Shortly after, she returned to inform us that we had been given the wrong menus and that every item was actually $2.99 more than what we had been reviewing--something completely unprofessional and misleading. To make matters worse, when I asked about happy hour, she flat-out said they didn't have one, yet I later found multiple reviews online mentioning happy hour specials. That means she either didn't know or wasn't being honest. Between the dismissive service, the sudden price change, and the lack of transparency, we decided to walk out. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant.

Like another customer stated that it had a funky odor and it was covered with bleach smell was true on my first visit and after talking with the owner of the restaurant, the menu sounded like it was worth coming back. I came back a second time and the owner recognized me and greeted me and directed us towards our table. There was no odor this time and it is an older establishment that actually was a house at one time. If you sit in the back area you can still see the crown moldings of the living area. We ordered the Marlin Empanadas- there is 4 to an order ($12). I wish I cut one so that you can see in the picture that it definitely is Marlin. Marlin is red flesh and I've fished in Cabo San Lucas and caught marlin and it's not the best flavored fish as it is dense and very oily. This definitely tasted like I remembered the last time I caught a marlin! Still this was good as I don't see marlin on the menu much so I usually order shrimp empanadas. We ordered Cooked Seafood Molcajete- Shrimp, octopus, crab, fish, and mussels. It came out boiling hot and I'm going to post video of the clay pot so you can see that it comes out hot from the kitchen!! Ordered a side of whole beans and homemade corn tortillas. Yes they do have homemade corn tortillas here and I definitely recommend! They also have a Tomahawk steak served with shrimp ($75) that I hear is a good seller!! Come support this restaurant! Our server, Adriana, asked me to text the picture to the # I was calling +1 (559) 830-4004 so the manager could approve a refund. I did exactly as instructed, and they did respond after reviewing picture and said they would issue refund... but despite following up multiple times, no one ever processed my refund or even responded. Considering how expensive the food is here (plus added service fees), it's really disappointing to be treated with such unprofessionalism. All I expected was accountability and a resolution for an order that was clearly incomplete. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and customer care has left a very negative impression, and I don't plan to return.
