I think out of anything i want to get out of this review is how hurt i am as customer. This isn't a review about food, it's about an incident that occurred this afternoon. I had a delivery driver who also happened to pick up my orders from here. We got to talking about other spots in town and I mentioned this place and he says, "ohhh you're THAT Frank". Automatically I'm like "uh oh" lol. Now before you start wondering "two sides to every story"; here's mine. I order a burrito combo with a large limonada. I ask for my burrito with just meat and rice, sometimes onions. I ask for it to be grilled. I asked for (2) to (3) serrano peppers on the side. Before they "disappeared" off of GrubHub, they had a button on their page for sauces. They don't charge for them on the app and don't have a quantity cap, so i usually ask for around (4) to (5) green and the same in habanero. The burritos are big and I'm a salsa kind of guy lol. If 10 sauces overall is too much, then that's fine. At least give me something lol. I've been given (0) or (1) at times. My burrito is 50/50 sometimes grilled, sometimes not "mostly not", they will forget my drinks from time to time. When i ask the driver, they say they weren't given a drink. My food has come cold, the meat has been chewy and fatty. I've had to get refunds on orders because of the quality. So I always ask the drivers to make sure my drinks are there and my sauces are in the bag. But here I've been, coming back cause i was genuinely a happy customer more times than not. Then to randomly hear from a delivery driver who's picked up your orders from here before, you've been talked "sh$t' about. So much that he even contemplated telling me "DONT ORDER FOOD FROM HERE". This is a place you've given business to on a regular basis! It's disheartening and it hurts. My last review was even a good one lol. Needless to say I'm not coming back. Pretty messed up too, cause i was happy to see them come to town since i first encountered them in Bakersfield. Oh well.. talk all the crap you want now, hope you read this. I know one customer ain't no love lost. But now everyone will know how they're being treated behind their backs. Better places in town to find. read more

One of my favorite quick places to come get food! I try to always plan and order ahead if I can because the lines can be a long wait. What first got me was the Limonada, sooo good! I really like the meat they use for their tacos, they taste more premium and fresh than other places. I'm wimpy when it comes to spicy food so I always order no sauce on mine lol. Lately I've been ordering the loaded nachos with no beans! Super filling, it's really good if you you're looking for something snacky yet filling at the same time. Sign up for their loyalty program to earn points, get discounts, and get notifications on any deals they are having! I don't go inside often but when I do it's clean looking and feels spacious! I would give 5 stars but ordering "no beans" seems to always throw the entire staff for a loop. 50% of the time they mess up my order and I have to give it back and wait for them to remake it. Other than that everything is great! If they can get my order right more often I'd be more than happy to give them 5 stars! read more

Whenever I come across a Tacos La Villa. I stop. I always get the chilaquiles. They're so good. Tasty with a little kick from the red sauce they use. Service is always great and the restaurant is always clean and fresh. Love this place. read more

I requested green salsa on the side, the person taking my order asked if wanted any other salsa with it, named all the sauces they offer so I said avocado green salsa too. The person at the window gave me my food and soda. I looked inside my bag and saw I was only given the green salsa, so I asked about the avocado green one, he went back to ask only to say they didn't have anymore. OH WOW.............Finally tried this place today and wow, wow , wow. I actually went in if they did crispy tacos, but ended up ordering a carnitas tostada so i could get my crunch on, but try them. I asked for a variety of sauces, they had four and it was all so good, i even poured the habenero on the very top, which normally is too hot but it was all soooooo good. beef was tasty and not to chewy, good quality, great amount, not alot but not skimpy either and it filled my craving 100%. and Ruben the man at the window was great and finished with I appreciate you............great service, good timing, great food. La neta se pasan, ordered 2 shrimp tacos extra chipotle sauce, got a salad with 4 shrimp and extra sauce. Tortilla buried at the bottom of the smallest container they had. Could not eat the tacos with my hands had to use a fork. 1 star is being generous. read more

We ordered breakfast to-go through the drive through. The wait time is pretty long but that's because they are cooking everything from scratch including the tortillas so don't expect quick service. The chile verde on top of the huevos rancheros was fire and it traveled pretty well. The breakfast Torta with carne was also very good, but the potatoes were a little undercooked in my breakfast burrito with chorizo. All-in-all the food was tasty and affordable, and one the better spots in town in my opinion, even though they're fairly new. I will definitely be going back for seconds. :) read more

I went through the drive thru this morning at @ 10:55 for the first time and ordered a bacon egg burrito with no hot sauce/pico and a plain cheese quesadilla. My total was $27.30! The burrito has both hot sauce and pico de gallo. If you're going to charge such high prices, make sure your food reflects its worth. Although my order was messed up, service was decent. Very Disappointed - Wrong Order, No Refund I'm extremely dissatisfied with my experience. I was given the wrong food, and when I called to let them know, the manager refused to refund me unless I drove all the way back--despite the fact that I was already heading in the opposite direction. Overall I really like Tacos La Villa. You can order with their staff or through a tablet on the side. I trust the humans more than I do the machines haha. The staff are helpful and don't make me feel like a burden which is good enough for me. Plenty of tables, but they do fill up on busy days. I've tried a few items here. The shrimp burrito was not rolled well, but that was shortly after opening, so maybe they've improved their technique since. The flavor just wasn't all there for me. It was lacking something. My coworkers seem to like their tacos. I've tried the nachos and the fries and love them a bit too much. I have to keep myself from eating here too often because that nacho cheese... it's too good paired with the asada or the carnitas. The drive thru experience takes a while because they always have a line but the food comes out hot. Besides the standard tacos and burritos, there were hot Cheetos, birria and cheese renditions. Habanero sauce, avocado sauce, salsa roja or verde were given upon request. While the service normally is friendly, something is usually wrong with my order. *Lengua: tender tongue and each taco contains a good amount. On the blander side but the supplemental sauce helps with flavor. Great texture. I made this into a queso taco and the cheese added subtle saltiness. However I would have wanted a better cheese crust as it had a monotonous soft mouth feel. *Cabeza: received it accidentally but it was surprisingly good. Had a melt in the mouth quality. I enjoyed the juicy, meaty flavor. *Al Pastor: the meat was a bit tough and there was subtle heat from the marinade. The fattier pieces had better flavor but it wasn't the most memorable. *Combo: came with a small side of Mexican rice and beans. Both were seasoned well. The rice was on the drier side but it was nicely salty. The beans were also salty and chunky. *Birria: came with a cup of consume. The meat was juicy and melty. This was my favorite item as it was flavorful and meaty. The consume had strong lime flavor and I loved the acidity. *Horchata: very milky and sweet with nice cinnamon flavor. Every time I ordered this, it was strong and not diluted. The basics were the best, especially their birria. I wouldn't pay extra for the cheese versions or upgrades as they took away from the natural flavors. I can't complain. Did I wait 25 minutes in a drive thru? Roughly. Did I understand that it was 930 at night, busy inside with 6-7 cars ahead of me? Yup. So I waited, and waited and ordered. Then waited some more. Then I got to the window, cash exchange and boom, food was hot and ready, and did I mention AFFORDABLE! And I went on a Tuesday night so it was a deal. The tacos were amazing. The kids got asada, I got a tostado al pastor. Amazing. The salsa is DELICIOUS and actually spicy! Well the one on the tacos at least. Friendly staff, great menu, and tons of options. I have been in the drive thru for nearly 40 minutes and I still haven't even paid for my food. I'm stuck between the car in front and back so I can't leave even if I wanted to. Beware! The large plastic cups are made of flimsy plastic so they can easily break on the side. Practical approach may be to create a designated parking spot for those who place large orders such as 8 burritos and nachos. Love! came back for afterwork dinner around 9 and my food was nice and warm still and came with complimentary salsas. i ordered a kids quesadilla that comes with your choice of meat. lemme tell u it was bomb lol. it was a lot of meat and the cheese pull was definitely there. i'm pretty sure they use mozzarella but the food also came with rice and beans and they were both tasty. definitely a hidden gem for me and will be coming back for the price. the inside was kinda packed but i think they were all pick up orders. the guy was nice i didn't get his name but he was filling up salsa containers. you can tell everyone here was workin hard and getting the food out the drive thru as fast as they can. always wanted a drive thru mexican food place and i see that everyone else did as well cause the lines are always long. i feel like the wait time is reasonable as well because they do cook everything fresh so great job guys! they also have fresh agua frescas inside as well!
