What a great hole in the wall find in Keller!! This little gem is tucked away in the corner of a strip center and is nothing fancy but it is wonderful! They serve authentic El Salvadoran food as well as Mexican favorites. I wanted to try something new and my boyfriend suggested this place. I had never tried El Salvadoran food before so I was excited to give it a shot. One word for you.......pupusas! These little pockets of yummy cheesy goodness are incredible!!!! There were 8 different flavors to choose from and we tried 4 of them. The beef and cheese was the winner for my and boyfriend loved the loroco flower and cheese one. We also chatted the Tipica platter and it had fried yuca and pork, tamale, pastelito, and fried plaintain with creme. It was all so very good, fresh and hot!! I randomly decided to try this place while visiting If i could give this place a 10 i would based off the food. Every type of meat was super flavorful. This is coming from someone that lives in California and eats tacos on a regular basis. I ordered 3 different types of tacos and all of them were full of flavor. Wow the food has gotten better and I think it's because they have added tons of new dishes, but these ladies cooking know how to cook too! They have some great salsa and if you are looking for spicy ask for the green salsa! It's delicious! Their homemade drinks are the best! Orchata, tamarind, habiscus, maranon- which it's made from the cashew fruit part. They have great food and I suggest to be curious and ask for dessert as they make nuegados and they are made with cheese and yuca and served with a delicious syrup! Also ask for empanadas they are made with plantain and are also my favorite dessert from El Salvadorean cuisine! My husband and I go there a lot and order the soups! All of them are super tasty and yummy!! I am soo glad this place exists! I get to eat delicious and authentic Salvadorean food! Took us a bit to find this place, but well worth it. Salvadoran Horchata is really good. I had Pupusas that were tasty and the Mondogo soup was excellent! Hand made tortillas. Wow! Very nice server who treated us like family. Highly recommend. read more

Visiting from North Carolina looking to celebrate National Taco Day and found this place through Yelp. Menu was split between traditional Mexican dishes and Salvadorian dishes. Husband had plate of tacos which were a combo mix of steak and other choices. He was shown a buffet area to add his own salsa and other toppings like cilantro and onion. I chose two items of Salvador menu that looked interesting. Both great items and waiter helped with suggestions. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

I went to El Sabor hoping to try their Salvadorian dishes. We walked in the door and was greeted nicely by the hostess. The kitchen is open allowing anyone to look into the kitchen area. When I looked back in the kitchen, I saw the cook with NO MASK on. Not a mask around her chin because she is super busy but no mask at all on. I saw another person walking around behind her, also without a mask on. We took a menu and left. If you are looking for authentic Latin food, this is the place to visit. I have been coming here for years and was excited to see this family owned business survive Covid-19. Love the food as much as the customer service. We met the owner, Yuri when she took over a couple of years ago and she still remembers my family. I've been coming to this restaurant for almost three years, and I love it. The food was very good with the prior owner, and even better now. The quality and the cost of the entrees can't be beat. My favorites are the pupusas and the tacos. The garnishing are also excellent; I believe they themselves chop their pico and pickle their cabbage. This place makes extra good papusas! I had 1 squash and cheese,1 spinach. Wifey ordered 1 steak and 1 chicken and cheese. We were happy with all of them. Can't wait to come back with friends and try the other kinds. Our server was very nice but English was difficult for her and got our order wrong. She thought my wife ordered two chicken so I helped her eat them. At only $2.00 each, I'm not complaining. :) I found 2 to be very filling. Today was my fourth or fifth time eating at this restaurant. They have Mexican and Salvadoran food. They have Pupusas, tacos, steak, and Salvadoran tamales just to name a few items. If you dine in you get free chips and salsa. The chips are nice and thin and crispy and the salsa is a little bit hot but not too hot. I've tried several things on the menu and all of them have been good. My favorite, is the steak pupusas. Two of them is more than I can eat. I usually also get a side of beans and rice. If you order beans and rice you have two choices. Refried black beans and white rice with veggies. Or fried rice and beans which is the Salvadoran version where pinto beans and rice are cooked together. All of it is good. The steak pupusas have chunks of meat with some onions and bell peppers. The pupusas are good size and they make them fresh when you order. They also have garlic pupusas which not very many places do, and they're also really good. I often order a couple of steak pupusas to go and heat them up for lunch. They reheat well in a dry skillet for a few minutes. If you like Mexican or Salvadoran food, you need to give this place a try. The prices are good and the staff is really friendly although sometimes there is a bit of a language barrier. Wow! Fantastic home cooked food with very attentive service. While they do not have a liquor license I still choose to eat at this restaurant over other choices that serve beer, wine, and margaritas because of the quality of the food and service.
