[LOCATION/PARKING] Taco Chon is located inside the new gas station off Western/Haltom Rd. Ample parking spots. When you walk in the gas station, Taco Chon will be in the back area of the gas station. [SERVICE] Taco Chon is a family-owned joint and the daughters are working the front while mom and dad are working on your food in the back! The entire family is very nice and welcoming and you'd have no trouble ordering your food here. All the food came out in a decent amount of time. I've never had a long wait for my food. They accept card and cash. [FOOD] I am definitely a big fan of the tacos and elotes here! They have different types of meats you can choose from. I have tried barbacoa, asada, pastor, carnitas, and chorizo on corn tortilla. My favorite are the pastor, carnitas, and asada tacos! Tacos are $1.75/each. The meat-tortilla-onions ratio is perfect and the tacos aren't soggy at all. They have 3 different types of sauces (green, red, and yellow sauce) and I'm a big fan of all of them. I forgot which peppers were in each one but would definitely recommend giving each of them a try to figure out your favorite! The small size for elotes is $3.50 and you really get alot for what you pay for. They have lots of seasonings (e.g. lemon pepper, chili powder, etc.) and sauces you can put on your elotes.

These tacos are really good. I don't what it is about gas station restaurants but they haven't disappointed yet! I ordered the pastor tacos and there's enough meat in one taco to make two! Really good and quick lunch!

Barbacoa and pastor tacos & chicharrón sopes.

Not impressed... tacos I got were barbacoa and pastor; subpar, had better. But the biggest let down was the sopes ! What Mexican taco spot uses actual sour cream instead of Mexican creama or cotija cheese which instead was replaced with regular shredded cheese. Not authentic. The daughter of the owner was nice and courteous. The only thing I enjoyed was the chicharrón and salsa. Actually the chicharrón was fire ! If I go back it would be to get a hefty serving of it ! All in all for ten bucks.

Food in a gas station! Street tacos you would expect from a local taco truck. The location has a few bar stools at the cooking counter but no sit down space. If you are in the area and want a few tacos it definitely is worth the visit. The hottest hot sauce is habanero based and can add some heat if that's your thing. The steak tacos come with cilantro and lime kind of standard for street tacos. Add some lime. Definitely will go back and try some other tacos. I don't believe they have a drive trough.

Loved this place! Tacos were very tasty and the staff was very friendly. I had the pollo, pastor, carnitas y chicharrón, the meats had great flavors and the 3 different salsas gave an extra kick! Tacos were around 1.75$. They also have burritos, tortas and other options. Stopped while getting my car looked at down the road. Super convenient ! Is located inside the Exxon gas station.

First time, 6 street tacos 2 grilled pork, 2 marinated pork, and 2 chicken tacos. And a side of rice.

Came here for the first time, they're located inside of a gasoline station called Ducky's Mart. We got 6 street tacos, 2 of each, marinated pork, grilled pork, & chicken. First let me start by saying the customer service is great and very helpful, they accept all forms of payment. The flavor to me of the tacos and rice was a little blend, especially with the grilled pork, equivalent to carnitas. Thet have lots of other choices of meats for tacos, burritos, tortas, and tostadas I will come back and try other items in all fairness.

I'm so glad this place is back. Takes me back to growing up in Mexico. Great food, excellent service, family own, local taco joint. Their tacos are legit. My boys all love them too. Can't wait for them to grow into having a full restaurant. Esmeralda is the best!

The tacos are so amazing! Me and my friends have ate here almost ever day this week. It's family ran and they are the sweetest ever. The service is super fast so it's the perfect place for a quick lunch break.

The staff is friendly and everything we have tried is excellent! Their tortas are the best in town, hands down. Portion are large and quality is great. You won't be disappointed.

AND THEY DID NOT DISSAPOINT. The carne asada fries tasted exactly like the kind I grew up with. Crispy fries loaded with heaping scoop of their carne asada, cheese, and all the fixings that made me almost shed a tear from the nostalgic feels. Was it worth driving over an hour for? Hell yeah. No regrets whatsoever. If you're a San Diego transplant like us looking for a piece of home in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, this is a spot you gotta check out.

Vaquero's is what they really eat. These kinds of tortillas can only be made by the old grandmother's in Mexico, who have never been to the US, and never plan on going. These tortillas here are obviously grown in house on a Metate (ok, I had to look that up), And the meats taste like they are marinated for days, in order to taste like this. My favorite is the Alambre Burrito. If you accidentally order something else in addition to the Burrito, you will probably be taking it home. And when you take home your Taco's, don't forget to take the chips with you. The chips are also obviously made in house, and fried in Lard before coming to every table.
