The corn tortillas are delicious and they're plenty of choices for tacos including Lengua, Tripa, and chivo. Menudo and the Aguachile are Oui good. Small family owned, clean and service with a smile, we've always enjoyed our meal and time here and when leaving felt like that was a bargain. I had the flautas this visit and they were amazing topped with a cheesy salad, the tortilla perfectly fried with a crispy crunchy bite followed by savory beef my tummy says yummy! This is my brother's favorite taco spot, so I've been here a couple of times already...it's time for a review! Service: 5/5 The servers here are very welcoming. They're friendly and constantly check on you without hovering. They offer chips and salsa as soon as you're seated. Ambiance: 4/5 The restaurant is colorful and super cute. It looks pretty clean and has plenty of tables to accommodate both small and large groups. Food: 4/5 Do you want authentic Mexican food? Would you like in house made tortillas? My family and I were on our way to Rosa's for fresh tortillas when we saw Tacos El Rinconcito behind Cotton Patch (over in the shopping center by the Target in Watauga). We were immediately seated and brought chips and salsa along with our drink orders by a friendly server (Maggie was the name on our receipt!). We ordered el pastor, steak, and chicken Gorditas which were so delicious! You can choose the meats for all three gorditas or just order all the same. I topped mine with the cilantro/onion salsa as well as the green salsa. We were offered a bowl of limes which made for the most perfect flavor. They tasted SO fresh and so delicious! I also loved the spice of the green salsa, which she brought to the table in a squeeze bottle. Additional, we ordered the taco plate with el pastor. My children loved them! We came in just before closing. It didn't matter the waitress greeted us with a smile. The inside of the restaurant is super clean and nice. The tacos pf pastor lacked salt but overall flavor was good. The homemade corn tortillas were amazing. I could eat a dozen of them. So we've been on a Mexican food kick here lately. Honestly, my wife has been but like to keep her happy. This is just around the corner from us and we liked the consistent good reviews. Stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon and the inside is really so much nicer than the outside. It has the feel of a mom n pop place and vibrant colors. Not to mention it was very clean when we walked in. That's a big plus + The staff here is awesome!!! They don't speak great English but we were able to order fairly easy. The menu is mostly Spanish with just enough English to order. Did I mention the staff??? They truly are very nice and friendly!! They brought some awesome chips out first. Loved that they were warm too. Good levels of spicy in their salsas. I got three tacos with pork, carne and chicken. They were scrumptious! Truly! Ok so a few things. When I saw the reviews I was interested, especially since I wanted a good carne asada burro. The fresh tortillas helped! So they don't have a traditional carne asada burro (meat, pico, guac).. the meat was steak, and in the burrito was rice, beans, cheese, LETTUCE, tomatoes. At this point I was already there so I said "let's try it". Now one concern was what they considered a carne asada burrito, the second was the lettuce. I have a think about lettuce being somewhere I cannot see it and take it off my food. One concern is the freshness of the lettuce, what if it goes bad?... anywho.. back on track. The burrito was huge, the meat was good along with the beans and rice. However, the lettuce, tomatoes etc.. not so much. I expected more authentic Mexican cuisine. But it seemed like I got Chipotle. this place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. this place is located right next to staples in the super target plaza. We ended up getting a torta and one quesadilla. They will give you chips along with 4 different types of salsas. My favorite one was the more milder green sauce. it went well with everything. The red and the other green sauce that has a more viscous texture were a bit spicy for me. The torta was huge, the picture below only shows 1/2 of it. I wasn't able to finish it and had to bring it home. We finished the quesadilla, and what made me laugh was that on the menu it mentioned that it came with a small side salad. But in the picture, you can see its simply tomato and lettuce with mexican sour cream. lol I don't know if it was us or the language barrier, but it was difficult to get a cup of water. our waitress kept saying glass bottle, which i assumed would imply buying a water bottle, but we kept insisting regular water would be fine. read more

The thin, soft, freshly made tortillas stole the show. Likely the best we have had. The shrimp taco had a nice amount of shrimp. The tamale was just ok. The carnitas taco was good but the pastor was hands down our favorite. The meat eas tender and the contrast with the pineapple was very good. The salsa and chips were good. The salsa was unique.
