Ordered the overpriced birria for 17.99. Nothing but cheese and a little tiny bit of meat. Sad.

They are incredible juicy with their special sauce, pickle, tomato and lettuce. The patties are NOT thin and NOT like a thin fast food burger. Even the brioche buns are a perfect pairing. Thick, juicy and an ultimate hangry killer! Honestly some of the best burgers we've had in a long while. And the prices are insanely reasonable. $12 for a big burger and fries. I couldn't even finish it all. Also these have this really awesome Burger Challenge for $50. If you can finish it all in 30min it's free with a free winner shirt. It's a 6 patty cheese burger, 3 grilled cheese, 12 pieces of bacon and pieces of brisket. But comparing our large burger to the description above, I think it would be a difficult challenge. The employees are very friendly, helpful and happy. This truck is definitely worth the drive. Located right by the main entrance of Deception Pass State Park. And they have wayyyyyy better prices than the burgers at Shrimp Shack. I can't wait to come back!!

My husband got the one that has an onion ring (kinda like a western burger, forgot the name) and I got the inferno. I'll start by saying the fries were perfectly cooked and I thought they had a good flavor to them. The burger was also good. I asked for the inferno sauce on the side, cause the burger already has jalapeño on it, and boy am I glad I did. The sauce was too hot for my liking. No biggie just kept it off, it tasted great without it and wasn't dry or anything. I will definitely go back another time.

Food: Very good food. I ordered the brisket plate with creamed corn (brisket 9/10. Good flavor, good ring on it and flavorful + it wiggles which a good brisket slice should. Corn was pretty sweet but good). My only issue as a Southern spot it please include a slice of bread (white or texas toast + pickles with the meat plates.) the bbq is a homemade bbq sauce thats sooo darn good! Id buy a bottle or two! My wife ordered a brisket sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The brisket sandwhich was of course good with a buttery bun. The coleslaw (was lacking good flavor; not a fan personally). The fries were frozen fries and descent. We also had hush puppies; pretty good. Service: AMAZING service from Mia. Such a sweetheart and gem. She helped us make good picks from the menu. Ambiance: a very large building! When we went it was empty and during early day. Very clean, clean bathrooms and music playing. The look/feel gives more "country" vs southern. I was expecting to hear southern soul vibes on the music, and photos or items throughout that gave "southern bbq vibes". A dope touch would be dope photos of black or southern cowboys, and etc. lots of opportunity for a real down south vibe to be created. Overall- very pleased. I hope they have another 50+ years of business while stay true to their southern roots. Love love lovee

However, I'm sorry to write it did not get any better. On my first visit I was stuck between two and three stars but after the second visit I've decided it deserves a 2 out of 5 star review from me. There was nothing about the food that impressed me and I left both visits feeling like I could make it better myself at home. If I had to compare it with the other taco shops in town it would come in dead last. Overall, I felt like the food was under seasoned, proportions were slightly to a lot smaller than other options in town but their prices where competitive and on par for the area. Finally, they have a cleanliness issue. I drive a full sized truck so I'm able to look in the drive thru window and see the cooking area and floor. The first time I noticed the floor under their cooking area was dirty and had what looked like two wadded up pieces of paper under the table next to the wall. I kind of brushed it off thinking it's later in the day and the kitchen is bound to get a little dirty during the day. However, on my second visit, about 7-10 days later I noticed the floor still looked dirt and the two pieces of paper were still sitting in the same spot meaning they hadn't swept or cleaned the entire time, or perhaps they did but just don't take the time to get down and sweep or clean under their cooking station table. If the business happens to take the time to read these reviews my suggestion would be to clean everything, but especially pay close attention to areas your customers can see directly. A customer going through the drive thru has nothing to do but look in the drive-thru window and either watch employees cooking their food or look around to see how clean the restaurant is....especially the floor and the area where their food is being prepared. Finally, the place is a solid 3/5 star place to eat and you will leave happy but I had to drop it to 2/5 based on the cleanliness of my two visits.
