We were looking up Mexican food near us and tried this business on a whim and were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Sorry, I didn't take any photos on this visit. We were hungry and wolfed down our meal before I had the opportunity to click any. LOL! The place is small but clean. If you're not really paying attention to the surroundings in the strip mall where they're located, chances are you'll miss this little gem. No flashy signboards, etc. The eatery next to them has more noticeable window advertising. You have to place the order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The service was quick, friendly and warm. We tried their horchata, five individual tacos (carne asada, el pastor, chorizo, carnitas and shrimp (camarón)) as well as the birria taco meal (4 birria tacos served with a delicious soup on the side). The food here is outstanding! The portions are big. We couldn't finish our meal and had enough leftovers to take away. We loved everything we ate but I must say that their birria tacos are the bomb! Must try if you visit. All in all, this place deserves all the love for the food and the friendly service. We'll definitely be returning, and yes, next time I'm taking pictures. read more

El Sazon Latino is a humble little mom-and-pop restaurant that offers some great Mexican food in a hole-in-the-wall type atmosphere. Both the restaurant itself and the shopping plaza it is located in are a bit worn for wear and could definitely benefit with a face-lift but for me, that usually indicates that there is real potential for a good Mexican dining experience. I have found that the best Mexican food does not come from fancy high-end type places, but rather the best Mexican food comes from these humble little places. Walking in a bit after one o'clock in the afternoon, there was one other person enjoying a meal and a friendly man standing behind the corner. I looked through the menu and I ended up going with three tacos. One was an asada taco, one was a carnitas taco and one was a chorizo taco. The total for these three tacos was about nine dollars, so they were fairly priced. The tacos were brought out pretty quickly. I was also brought three sauces, mild, hot and extra hot. The hot and extra hot were both very good. The tacos were all good and loaded with meat. I did think the chorizo was the best out of the three. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

This cute hole in the wall restaurant had friendly service and mom and pop ambiance. We ordered the taco sampler (2 carne asada, 2 chorizo, 2 pastor, and 2 carnitas). The benefit of the sampler is you also get a double portion of rice and beans so it's a good order for two people. Ranked in order of best flavor, I would go with chorizo at the top, then pastor, carne asada, and carnitas. The chorizo had a delicious flavor and crispy bits. The pastor didn't give a lot of hints of pineapple or being cooked in pastor style. The carne asada was kind of bland and made me wonder what cut they used. The carnitas tasted more like slow cooked pork than the fried and braised variety (healthier this way at least!). None of them were bad though and I would order them again. The Mexican rice was a little bland (couldn't taste a lot of that characteristic tomato and chicken broth flavor) but I really liked the beans. The salsa verde is spicy and delicious and helped take the tacos up a notch. Overall, I wouldn't pick this place over border grill on Vineland or tortas del Rey, but I'm glad it's here and I would try more of what's on the menu. read more

So where to start!? Objective crtitism. The place it's right close by where we live. And the good reviews lure us to come check it out. Mind you. I believe asada means to burn or charbroil the meat. Or just making sure it's a nice bite size meat and veggies. Neither of this things happened at Sazon. Cube size meat, almost boiled, no markings on it and the onions just barely cut. The spicy sauce was good. The green sauce does not have avocado. This is almost as bad as pre made. The shrimp was cooked but again. Boiled There's no sauteed on any of the meat. It's a let down for us. I really wish I could give more stars. Local business need support. Unfortunately the service matched the food and was not consistent. I wish them the best. My tacos were nice and meaty! They offer a few different flavors of agua frescas so I asked if I had the option to mix two flavors. Small hole in the wall Mexican joint. The two employees we met were very kind. The guac was alright, I felt it needed a kick of lime juice; otherwise it tasted fresh. They definitely did not provide enough chips which I could tell as soon as they served it. They did eventually offer us more chips to finish the guac with once our meals came. I'm really glad I found this place! I had the red enchiladas and Jamaica, both of which were amazing. The Jamaica and lemonade are made in house. This cozy restaurant has table service but seemed to be a hot spot for takeout. The star of my meal was the red sauce, which put this restaurant into my top 5 list. Living in Central Florida trying to find an authentic Mexican restaurant is really hard and so when I saw their sign i knew this could be a good possibility. Upon entry we were greeted by our server who directed to any seat of our choosing. Since ot was nearly empty aside from a few other parties, We found a seat close to the dance floor. We looked over the menu to find that everything was basically a la Carte aside from 2 combination platters that were made for 2 people. The prices were very reasonable and after speaking with our server was decided on some chips and guacamole to start. I also decided on Horchata to drink, which is a cinammon, milk and rice water drink. Absolutely delicious. For my dinner I ordered a chicken burrito and Shrimp taco. The one thing I noticed that was different from every other mexican restaurant I have been to was no chips and salsa on the table. But we enjoyed the chips and guacamole that was brought to the table. This was the 1st time I had it where it had a generous dusting of Mexican cheese across it. Very tasty. When we finally received our entrees we were also brought out 2 squeeze bottles filled with liquid, one was green one was an orangish color. We were told the green was hot and orange was mild and no other explaination. My friend tried both. I assume these were their hot sauces, but they were thinner almost watery compared to ones I am used to. I decided to try my shrimp taco first, which was pretty simple. Shrimp and cilantro in soft Corn tortillas. However they were so hot I nearly burnt my fingers and my mouth so I had to wait while it cooled down. However when I tried the burrito it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. It was filled with white rice, black beans and shredded chicken. Not a whole lot of flavor to be honest and the cheese was mozzarella. Not mexican cheese. I tried the orange sauce but really didn't notice any flavor change. When I was finally able to eat my taco it was good. Again nothing spectacular or particularly special for me. I know my friend really liked his tocquitos and I sort of wished I would have ordered those. As to whether I will try this place again, I'm not sure. It's still a possibility. My only complaint was that el Sazon Latino was in small letters at the door as shown in my picture. I was quite sure this was the right spot and it turned out I was. The place is fantastic I shared the mega burrito with my son and it was easily enough for two people. My daughter ordered a steak burrito and my wife had a special. The waiter was fantastic as well as the owner. I would definitely come back. The chips and guacamole were great though I wouldn't have minded more chips. Amazing, homemade-tasting, delicious tacos. We come here every few months when we're in town from Chicago. Best tacos in town, and possibly some of the best in the states. The guacamole is authentic with grated cheese topping and made fresh to order. Even the tortillas seem to be homemade. It's hard to find because it's in the back of a parking lot-- but the food will make up for the small location a thousand times over. Mid-meal, the owner saw I was finished with my tacos and asked if I wanted another. I thought for a moment and said I'd take a pastor-- he made it on the fly, in about two minutes. The service is very friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are very, very reasonable. Best little taqueria I know. If you were looking for real, I Fendick Mexican food then this is your stop. This is one of the only places in the area that actually serves authentic Mexican food and not that Tex Mex Crap. Don't ask for ground beef or chimichangas because you won't find any of that here. They pride themselves on making everything from scratch; nothing frozen or pre-bought. My wife had the enchilada plate which was incredible. The black beans were cooked to perfection. I had the fish tacos which were surprising very filling for only three of them. The taco were filled to the brim with fish, and it was excellent. For an appetizer we had their guacamole and chips. I've never seen guacamole seasoned with parmesan but this was a really brilliant addition. I made reservations for 20 and they was able to accommodate us. Place is small and cozy, with a DJ that plays a variety of music. Authentic Mexican food. Lucy our waitress did a fantastic job taking all our orders and not having a mix up. Staff is very friendly and makes your stay pleasant. Food was great not much of a blast of flavor and could've used a little more seasoning. Prices for food are excellent. My only complaint was the prices for beer. Domestic and imports shouldn't be the same price. El Sazon should look into adjusting there beer prices, especially for the location they're at. Overall they made my and my wife birthday wonderful. About three weeks ago Mom and I made plans to try this restaurant and we did today. The food is not the typical Text-Mex that most everyone is familiar with it is from the Acapulco region. We spoke with the owner Gabriel a lively man and happy to interact with the customer. He says he and his wife are responsible for the wonderful dishes they serve there. He suggested "aguas frescas" we tried a fruit mix that was delightful and refreshing. Then we ordered pork nachos that had black beans and "queso Cotija?" and "queso fresco" lettuce, tomato and yum. We tried tamale wrapped in a plantain leaf it was good. Then the "tostadas" very good as well. We are going back this Friday. read more

Came here today with a Colleague - The place is somewhat hidden when youre driving but you will see the sign to enter its plaza. The menu is cheap tacos are $1.55 each and tostadas as $2.40 I believe - Thats what my colleague ordered. I chose the jumbo chicken nachos for $7 and a big cup of Horchata! Horchata was about $2.50 I think. The wait on the food was quite long due to a customer called in for 6 pick up orders -- The owner mentioned this to me when I was cashing out. The food is freshly made perhaps the reason why this place was quite busy from dined in patrons to pick up orders! My colleague devoured her tostadas that the tip of her nose had a splash of sour cream lol .. My nachos came in - Served huge in a round warm dinner plate - Topped with fresh cilantro , tomatoes , sour cream, stringy cheese , mexican crumbled cheese and chicken with black beans - The chicken was dry for me. I was looking for Authentic Mexican food and saw this rated very highly on Yelp. It was near my moms house so we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is warm and lively. There was a man playing guitar when were there. I ordered Chicken nachos with a side of chips and guacamole. My mom ordered the Mega burrito. It was love at first bite! The guacamole is the best I've ever had! I couldn't finish it all. I saved the fresh chips from the guac to eat with my leftovers. Mom was so hungry she managed to eat the entire burrito!
