Love a lehit street taco! El Sazon serves them up hot and fresh. Your choice of meat - I do pastor - topped with chopped onion and cilantro, lime wedge, radish, picked carrots on the side. Perfection. Rarely do I eat lunch, but someday after my swim I'm hungry for something small and satisfying. And fast! Street tacos fit the bill. Heading to Sauvie Island to the pumpkin patches, I saw the sign for this truck and pulled in. So glad I did! In addition to tacos. They have all the norms: burritos, quesadilla, sopes, huevos ranchero, mulitos, nacjos, taquitos, pollo or asada plates, tostados, and even cheeseburgers. On Tuesdays, tacos are discounted a dollar to $1.75. Make sure to try the avocado crema, it's fabulous. Picnic tables on the side, covered and uncovered. Plenty of parking. Friendly service.

I tried to take clear photos of what the truck looks like at this moment.

Great prices and phenomenal food since they started!! Reminds me of food in SoCal Actually call for prices, don't ball park it before you get there. You're paying for beautiful homemade food so don't complain

I've been wanting to come here for awhile now. I finally stopped and got an asada taco, carnitas taco, and rice and beans on the side. I asked for some hot sauce and they ended up giving me all 3 of their salsas. I'm glad they did, the avocado salsa was the best I've had from anywhere, I usually don't like it because it doesn't have enough flavor. Both the salsa verde and salsa roja was good as well, better than most places. I liked the chunky veggies on my asada taco and the beans were very good. Everything had good flavor, but this wasn't crazy good, but definitely good enough to try it again!

Great spot, friendly people and great Mexican cuisine! Covered seating and some outdoors as well, it's a very good option in a food desert.

Best shrimp burrito I've ever had, and I grew up in Arizona. I like to add jalapeños for that extra pop.

The person at the counter taking our order was helpful, efficient, and their enthusiasm carried over into the dining portion of the visit. My rule of thumb is that if a place has Cochinita Pibil on the menu, then they can be counted on to do things right. My CP taco had just the right amount of spice to leave me with a pleasant, warm feeling inside, about a half hour after we left. The horchata was cool and soothing, even though it had a wonderful, over-the-top cinnamon flavor. Having tables with permanently assigned numbers, and having your table assigned at the time you place your order makes for a spectacularly efficient way of getting you settled, and getting your food to the table in short order. Their artwork adds to the joyous ambiance - photo tributes to entertainers makes it fun.

On the menu, each item's name is a different color and each color correlates with a price ranging from about $4.50-5.50. Tacos were delicious, but a little pricey compared to some other taco places I've been to! However, I'll def be back if I'm craving tacos. Food also came out pretty fast. Salsas were self serve in the mini fridge.

Both the fish and the prawns were cooked in a red sauce that was delicious! I meant to ask for blue corn tortillas but was so excited to find shrimp & fish tacos that weren't deep-fried that I forgot to ask for them. The regular corn tortillas were excellent, though, so it was not a bad mistake to make. I also had jamaica to drink and let me tell you... it was not made from a mix! It was dark, thirst-quenching, and perfectly made. Most jamaica is super sweet - this was not! I love the flavor of real hibiscus and this did not disappoint. My friends had chile relleno bowls and birria tacos, all of which was excellent. Their watermelon margaritas were tasty and refreshing! Our orders were taken by a helpful person at the cash register and the food was served quickly by a friendly server. The inside and outside areas were clean and tidy, with plenty of seating available at the outside tables. The outdoor seating area is under cover making it a good choice for both summer & winter dining. Definitely going on my "have to go back and try something else" list!

It is the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable settling into. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, and the service was genuinely great throughout. We ordered the Quekas with vegan chorizo and black beans and they were SO good, honestly a standout. The chips and guac were also a hit, and I loved that the guac was actually cold. Such a small detail that makes a big difference. The Citrus Salad was super fresh, crisp, and delicious, which balanced everything out perfectly. I also tried the NA classic margarita and it was so refreshing. I loved the subtle touch of orange juice. Overall, such a lovely spot with amazing food, great vibes, and thoughtful details. I will definitely be back!

And to be honest, we were debating whether to get papi chulo's or not since it was a weeknight and we never eat out on weeknights. Safe to say, it was a mistake. They told her on the phone that our pick up order would be ready in 10 min. I walked in there 15 min later to get it, and it was not ready. The gentleman helping me out when I walked in looked like he had zero idea what I was talking about when I mentioned the pick up order name. He then immediately walked away from me and went to the register, and proceeded to ask me what I ordered and at this point, I knew he didn't know what it was and he said, "oh, it will be ready in 7 minutes." I ordered only 3 Breakfast burritos with no meat or anything in them - so, I thought 7 min wasn't too bad. Boy, was I wrong. It actually took 20 min (yes, 20 min) with me standing there by the table until the order was ready with no number or anything. I'll remind you all that there were legit 2 other customers in there and ONE CUSTOMER received their order before our 3 breakfast burritos were ready! That isn't right. I get sometimes food takes awhile, but both of them didn't apologize or anything while I was waiting. I've been to Muchas Gracious waiting for my order before, and they offered me a free drink because they felt bad they were having me wait 5 min! I don't accept it because I felt bad, but the point is, the lack of accountability and customer service during this experience was dreadful. And to be honest, the times I've been here, they haven't ever been too nice to me. After the order was finally ready, the lady working by the grill stuffed in at least 10 plastic containers of hot sauce into my bag. When we got home, most of them opened up and it left the biggest mess in the bag! Come on guys. This was just bad. Plus, my burritos were greasy anyways and tasted off. (See picture of the mess). I won't lie, there's plenty of other Mexican restaurants and establishments I can go to other than Papi Chulo's. Pretty disappointing experience overall and I can guarantee you I won't be going back anytime soon. I'd give the experience a 1/10 and the food a 2/10.
