All great. Authentic, great ambiance. Had the Birria Tacos. Very well done. Very busy, always a good sign! Recommend highly.

It was good, but nothing special. We had the $1 tacos. The menu offered a good variety . My husband had the spicy, but they were very mild. The pork in mine was tender, flavourful, a good portion even for the full price. The kitschy rustic atmosphere was nice. The dining area was clean, but don't go to the washroom. It was shocking. Service was average, we let the server know it was our first time there, Usually they are a little more helpful with suggestions, information etc. chances are we will be back to sample the rest of the menu, but we're not in a hurry. The hours of operation are very limited.

Last 2 flavours from the taco fiesta

Was recommended by a friend. Ordered delivery with a few friends. We ordered the taco fiesta which includes a variety of 30 tacos, loaded nachos and drinks - horchata and jamaica. The nachos were very good - definitely more toppings than tortilla chips (which I'm not complaining). I'm not too sure what the fillings were in the taco because it doesn't say - but I think there were pulled pork, chicken, vegetarian one and one that might have tendons in it. They were all flavourful, even without the sauces. I just found the pulled pork on the dryer side. Overall, the tacos were oily but very good. I didn't try the drinks but my friends have high praises about them. They were just perfectly sweetened. We had a big order and it was far from us so I'm ok with the delicery time. I didn't go in person so unfortunately, I cannot comment on the ambiance.

Great price, great variety, friendly staff and economically friendly! Every Tuesday and Wednesday, they offer $1 tacos. If you're in the area, it's worth checking out. I arrived just before 6:30pm with no lineup at the counter. They have several tables where customers can dine in. We waited maybe 10 to 15 minutes, so the wait time is extremely reasonable for a promotion this great!

This would be 3.5 stars. Rare to see $1 tacos on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! This kind of deal is unheard of. We tried a variety of tacos from meat to veggie, with salsa on the side for an additional charge of $1. Each taco was topped off with cilantro and onions. Glad this time the tacos were not soggy. The meat was flavourful but on the saltier end in my opinion. The taco shells had a slight chew to them. Portions are good at an inexpensive price point. Dine in is also allowed for $1 deal now.

This restaurant is a casual spot with colorful decorations and some seating. I checked this place out for their $1 taco Tuesdays since it looked great on social media. I waited for about 15 minutes for a plate of 4 tacos (cochinita, chorizo, pastor, and carnitas). I found all of them to be greasy but flavourful (a little salty for my taste). Each had a good amount of filling so I was full afterwards. They also offer a selection of sauces for tacos and tres leches if you're looking for something sweet after a heavy meal. They're definitely worth it for the $1 special!

Amazing find!! Incredible authentic food, ambiance, and service. There is where all the locals go! Delicious tacos and tortilla chips. Will come back to try the rest of their menu, especially on taco Tuesdays!

We happened to catch ordering some quick take out right before they were closing at 7PM. The lady was kind enough to take our orders around 10 minutes before the end of the day. There were not a lot of menu options available to get at this time, and we were limited to ordering the Pastor Taco & I think the Chicken Taco. Both orders were good and looked good. The tacos came with 2 sauces. Probably, the only minor thing I can comment on that did not go right was that the lady did not include any napkins/tissues in the take out bag. We would have appreciated having some included for our takeout because we had the tacos to go and ate it at a park somewhere else. I will surely try to experience dining in some time in the future. The interiors were themed right, and the place was very homey. I also can only expect some good and personable service received from the restaurant.

I have only tried the tacos here (on Taco Tuesday of course), which were tasty but rather small. They also started to fall apart by the time I got home, which was only after about 15 minutes. I would say the tacos are only a good value if you get them on Tues/Wed when they have the promotion. I'd recommend getting at least 5 tacos if you actually want to be full. The restaurant inside was nicely decorated and the tacos didn't take too long to prepare (the wait was less than 10 minutes). Slight nitpick, but the cashier forgot my sauce, though they were manning the front of the restaurant alone so it's understandable.

Birria mix tacos (pork and beef)

I got the birria mix tacos which were both pork and beef and it was delicious. The consumé broth was perfect. This is one of the cheaper places I've been to for tacos, and they did not skimp out on the filling or sauces. Plenty of onion and cilantro, as a taco should look.

    Tuesday $1 tacos!

$1 tacos on Tuesdays (and I think Wednesdays as well)...what could be better?! Located in a tiny strip plaza, the word is definitely out bc when I went here there was already a line up (I was about 10 minutes early of opening time b/c I was at the Peak freans outlet up the street lol). And trust me when I say people were ordering BAGS of tacos! I ordered a few chicken, a few ground beef ones and a few birria ones. They are made to order, hot, fresh, and delicious! They are also stuffed. No taco skimping here! I loved the chicken one the most - so juicy and tender pieces of chicken. You order, then they ask you to wait outside til your order is called (due to Covid of course). You can get sauces for your tacos- hot sauce, mild one, and a guacamole one. The guac one was a fresh addition to the tacos.

Oh no... the word is out.. Taco Tuesday (for a buck) is the best tasty value going on in the city. Depending on when you're reading this, the line has gotten longer week by week. It's a good selection of tacos and a bit of a wait after you order. With 3 other mexican restaurants within a few kms here, this part of the neighbourhood is quickly becoming on fuego! I almost wished they had a taco truck that would just come to my place. Tip: go to the peak freans outlet nearby and get some cookies to supplement your order.

Found out this place through my sister's friend. We came here for the $1 tacos, which they have on Tues and Wed from 12pm-7pm. We came around 12:45 and waited 10-15mins to order and another 10mins to get our food. They have a limit of 6 people at a time in there. However, more than 6 people were in there because of the additional people coming in to pick up their orders. We ordered chorizo, carnitas, chicharron, butter pork, and birria tacos. Should note that they only let you order 5 tacos per flavour and 20 tacos in total for the $1 deal. So we got 20 tacos. They were so delicious!! Highly recommend the chicharron and butter pork. So tasty. Plus we got the hot sauce which added a nice kick. They are a little small, and one person could eat on average 4-5 tacos each. I should also mention that they put one whole order in the box together, so it was hard to tell which taco was which flavour. I had to make some educated guesses haha Customer service was excellent. So friendly and nice. Definitely will be back to try the other flavours and other dishes. This deal is too good to pass up!

When I went to the basement washroom, I swear I saw what looked like the end of a mouse's tail sticking out from under the door. Needless to say, I completely lost my appetite. When the waiter asked how everything was, I told him honestly that it was terrible. I had only taken two bites, and there was really no response. I wouldn't have wanted a replacement anyway after that experience. I also had some fruit bites, and about 10 minutes later my stomach started gurgling. By the time I got home, I felt awful. I was shivering, felt like I was going to throw up, and had to rush to the bathroom. It honestly felt like food poisoning. And I still paid for my meal Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

The place is a bit small so it can be a bit tight so I would highly recommend having reservations if you have a large group. Tacos: The soft and the crispy tacos were both delicious. Overall, I really had a great experience at Playa Cabana, totally would come here again to try out their other dishes.

My wife and I just recently completed our 4th visit to this Michelin-starred masterpiece. We did make the mistake this time of sitting at the Chef's Counter in the middle of summer with the fire grills going, but it's such an amazing experience to watch them all be pros at what they do that it makes you forget about the sweat. Sitting at the bar is also equally fun with the engaging bartenders. The service and the ambiance of the long, corridor-like place is just incredible. The darker lit atmosphere gives it a really intimate but welcoming feel. And every server or bartender or chef we've talked to there has been equally friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth. We also absolutely love the fact that virtually everything is naturally gluten free (perfect for those with celiac!). This time around, we got the mushroom and shishito peppers (I don't even like mushrooms with the firm texture but these ones were insanely tender I would happily eat them whenever), tuna tiradito, empanada, and bone marrow and shrimp (not sure we've ever had bone marrow before or that we'd get it again, but it was definitely an interesting flavor and not a disappointment in the least). We also had a solo regular sit next to us who happily gave us a piece of his tlayuda which was maybe the best of what we got the entire night. Dessert was the coconut nicuatole, which was the perfect cherry (or pineapple) on top of another perfect dinner. In the past, we've also heavily enjoyed the scallop ceviche and coal roasted sweet potato and our friend also raved about the whole seabream. Their cocktails are also on point and the tasting menu with drink pairing is also hugely fun but come ready to leave stuffed because it's a LOT. Best restaurant ever and I can't wait to go back again!

The bluefin tuna was pristine, buttery, and incredibly fresh, while the char-grilled octopus was perfectly tender with a beautiful smoky depth of flavor. The standout for me was the hanger steak, cooked beautifully and paired with a rich peppercorn sauce that elevated every bite. Beyond the outstanding food, the service was impeccable--attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced without ever feeling intrusive. Quetzal is a Michelin star experience that lives up to the acclaim, delivering bold flavors, refined execution, and genuine hospitality. An unforgettable meal and a restaurant I would gladly return to.
