Family friendly, outdoors and indoor sitting. Picnic style tables. As a person who doesn't drink actual beer, I appreciate they had some ciders and wine to select from. The finger food is good too. I was expecting much but it actually was tasty. Service is good. You order at the register and they bring out the food. Parking may be the hardest part. You'll be lucky if you find a spot in the street.

This brewery is a staple of the South Bay, you can find the beers everywhere but today I ventured to the "mothership" to see what their brewery is like 1- ambiance It's a wee bit confusing entering the first time. You go down steps and around corners as if you are in a maze. But that's sort of what makes it so cool Inside the locals/regulars are at the bar. They are a welcoming lot, however and soon you feel at home 2- food It's via food truck so it's hit or miss 3- service The beer tenders are the best. Very helpful with directing you to the right beer. Samples readily offered Pro tip: if you are military or first responder bring your ID. They have a "pay it forward " wall where kind patrons have bought you a drink. Note: Happy to see a USCG category! Go "puddle pirates ". Next time I'll bring my military ID

4 Stars - Come for the Beer, Stay for the Vibes (and the Surprisingly Clean Bathrooms) El Segundo Brewing is basically your cool neighbor's backyard--if your neighbor brewed excellent beer, welcomed dogs, played good music, and somehow kept their bathroom cleaner than most restaurants. Beer? Legit. Whether you're IPA loyal or just here for a "what do you have that tastes like Blue Moon" moment, they've got you covered. Staff is super friendly--like the kind of people who'd help you move a couch if you asked nicely. It's very family-friendly, though heads-up: no high chairs. So if your toddler needs a throne, BYO booster. On the bright side, dogs are welcome, and honestly, what more do you need? Food trucks are like dating apps--mostly great, occasionally questionable. About 7 out of 10 times, you'll walk away happy. Other times, you're just glad the beer's cold. Bonus: the music's solid and the bathrooms are so clean they deserve their own Yelp page. All in all, a great local spot that doesn't try too hard but still totally delivers, not open late night.

I don't usually go to breweries, but I checked out El Segundo Brewery for the first time and it was a nice experience. The space has a high ceiling and a laid-back vibe. I went around 8 p.m. on a Saturday, and it surprisingly wasn't too crowded, which was a plus. The area around it is great to walk around -- lots of restaurants, little shops, and it's pretty close to the beach if you want to stroll near the water. I'm not much of an alcohol person, so I didn't drink a lot, but we got the flight, which came with five different flavors from the menu. It was cool to try them all and just chill. Overall, a solid spot with good energy. I'd give it a 4 out of 5.

Love this spot!! Don't be fooled by the exterior, the taproom is downstairs and there's it's amazing space with lots of seating. The outdoor space is super aesthetic and they have a selection of food trucks that come by too! You can check their schedule on their website. I love the vibe and ambiance here and there's also plenty of televisions for game watching.

You know that feeling when you walk into a place and are like, I've been here before. Oddly enough both times were on birthday bar crawls. I highly recommend stopping in El Segundo Brewing, even if you're not sure if you've been there before. They have a great selection of beers, knowledgeable bar tenders, and an indoor/outdoor seating area. If you're hungry then check out back as there's usually a food truck right outside their back patio.

El Segundo Brewing's Broken Skull IPA.

El Segundo Brewing Steve and I had the experience of having one of their signature beers , the Broken Skull IPA. Apparently designed by Steve Austin and has three kinds of hops which are Citra, Chinook and Cascade hops. Smooth, piney, clean and light this IPA isn't a bad one. Perhaps not the most unique I have come across nor the most experimental which is what I am always desiring when tasting and trying out breweries but it isn't a bust by any means either.

You've probably seen El Segundo Brewing Company's beers in grocery and liquor stores and that's because they have solid beers. Their menu leans more heavily on the IPAs, but I guarantee there is a beer for everyone there. My two favorites are their Citra Pale Ale and Mayberry IPA. Unlike most breweries that are located within industrial areas, El Segundo Brewing is within the heart of downtown El Segundo which allows you to hop around to different restaurants or enjoy El Segundo's Farmer's Market on Thursdays! They normally have a food truck each day in the back, so make sure to grab a bite to eat. Pictured here is a delicious fried chicken sandwich from Lower Case Deli Hot tip: They have solid staples always on their menu, but keep an eye out for limited releases on their menu if you're looking to try something new and exciting. Recently returned on a rainy and cool Friday evening. Jam packed with people ready to start the weekend. A good vibe per usual! Still have a great beer list...IPAs rule. A cool neighborhood craft brewery in a cool town. Nothing fancy. Just happy and hoppy.

The service, ambiance, and beer were all great. The staff were friendly when we were deciding which beer to order. There were so many great options and they were helpful when I asked for a recommendation. It was a chilly day in El Segundo but they had the heaters turned on and there were still a lot of people out enjoying the beer. Overall, great experience and I would return.

Is outside food allowed here?

Yes, but don't be a slob! And clean up after yourself! The Beertenders shouldn't need to clean up after you, it's your food that you're bringing in after all!

Are kids allowed?

I've seen kids there many times

Are they pet friendly?

Old posts are outdated, they are pet friendly now. Very pet friendly

I am not much of a beer drinker. It does not fit my style. Plus, Emily Gilmore implied that it was…read morenitwit juice and Buffy devolved to a Cave person after drinking enchanted beer so these quasi-after-school specials taught me that heathens and their kin drink beer. Of course, I kid, beer can be a wonderful thing, I just rather do cocktails and shots. So I went to Sugar Monkey Brewing because of a different pull: a power point slide show where friends pitch their single friends to strangers for a chance at love or romp. So I went in not knowing much of Sugar Monkey Brewing and I left with clear understanding that this place is an industrial beer oasis near the beach. The contrast of sand and blue on the horizon and the present aluminum lining made me feel like I was seeing a new uncommon mixture that proved that clashing environments can gel to delight. I found parking easily. It was a Saturday early evening, and about a 5 minute walk was where I discovered my spot. I honestly hated that I had to walk those 5 minutes but the walk uplifted my spirits for the weather was California crisp and the air and sky and atmosphere felt safe and proper. I wondered if i had the right place? The streets looked like too industrial. Like I had gone to one of those places that had a lot of factories in rows, but not much else. But I turned a corner and there was Sugar Monkey. Then I realized that a brewery would probably look like a beer factory so this place, with all its steel and pumps, had found its home amongst beach skies. As I walked back to my car, later that evening, I was in slight awe at the pale light blue and orange sky. It was serene, and vast and somehow beach appropriate. The water tower iin a picture I took was a nice touch as it reminded me of the Animaniacs, especially Wakko and Dot. I arrived after the first presentation was on its way. I started to listen intently to understand the dynamics because this all seemed so weird yet plausible. Like a dating auction turned fun not hokey or corny? The person was hyping up her friend J. Apparently, he spoke many languages, and hiked and did all these other stuff that were meant to induce attractions. Then she asked, What can he do? And she then explained how she was going to make a joke and that no one needed to fear going to hell if they laughed. And she then reveal that the thing he can't do is SEE because he was blind. The joke was in good taste. The joke, at least to me, carried disability pride. She had revealed that he was different because his sight was different to a crowd of would be judges and suitors. The strength of the duo was refreshing, dare I say, more than the beach breeze. Being witness to this moment made me feel like I had seen a beautiful moment and one I never imagine I would see. And for this reason alone, my trip to Sugar Monkey was more than fun, it was heart-opening. The place itself is cool. Their outside was a huge garden like setting. The place had pool, however, the patio is crowded so I am not sure how people can play if too many people are there. Another thing I saw- that is a credit to this place- is that it had a wheelchair elevator. So if someone was chilling in the patio and wanted to chill in their wooded floor area- where the bar was they could use the wheelchair lift, if they could not use their legs. The place had also had kind of like an off-beat personality. It had a British phone, an astronaut that seemed to have hit a space that painted him with grafitti flare, and beers with names like green means go. I think I would go to this place again, for the beer and the air and to Karaoke. I loved this place and the activity it hosted!

The beer is ok, 3/5. Definitely a step behind the other breweries in area but a few options I do…read morelike. Food trucks are typically very solid, overall I would give food a 4/5. Ownership/service is about as bad as it gets. Overall service is pretty awful, not welcoming, catering to an odd crowd. I've been to sugar monkey about 20+ times over the last year, so this isn't a one off experience. We live local and go often but have slowly started just going to other breweries in the area given consistently poor service/rude servers here. I think there is really high potential here but they just swing and miss.

This was one of the best pizza-related choices I've made in Southern California. Parking is a little tough...I ended up parking a few blocks away on a main street, which was fine, but didn't notice there was a public parking structure available closer behind a building across the street. The place was crowded and lively on the early Saturday evening I was there. That's a great sign...I was just getting a slice to go, but overheard the host telling people it would only be 10-15 minutes for a table. I had a classic cheese slice. (My litmus test for NY pizza at a new location.) It was FANTASTIC. Easily among the very best crusts I've had on the west coast...super thin and crispy...exactly as it should be. The balance of sauce and cheese was also perfect. Too many pie shops seem to treat sauce as an afterthought...too thin a layer, almost not tastable. But not here...it was perfect...the right amount of everything. There are other really delectable looking pizza options, even for vegetarians like me, including a fascinating "Cacio E Pepe" and a Margherita. (I also saw one which looked all sauce like a tomato pie, which looked really good. (Plus other options like Fried Brussels Sprouts or Fried Cauliflower...cheese bread, and salads. The beer menu, as one would expect with "pint" in the name, is extensive with lots on tap and "guest" brewery selections. Lots of wines to choose from as well. Only real downside is parking right in front can be tough, but if you're willing to walk a block, Hawthorne and Rosecrans usually have spots. We even hosted a party here in 2025 and the experience was smooth from start to finish. Chris made everything easy. Communication was mostly over email, super clear and responsive, and they took the time to walk us through the space in person when we had questions. The upstairs area is very nice though can run a little warm. Thankfully, they have fans! We opted for the patio since I like the open air and it gave us extra room. Very helpful and accommodating and a super reasonable minimum spending amount. We had around 30 people and it never felt cramped. A bunch of our friends have come back on their own since, which says a lot. And yeah, the beer. It's that good. There are a lot of strong breweries around here, but this one hits different. The Hazy Lil Daisy IPA is a go to, and their seasonal and themed releases are always fun and creative without sacrificing quality.
