I won't go back. Nothing bad happened, it just wasn't good food. After eating there I was told it was a locals place for happy hour. That makes sense-and yes if I was a local looking for a well priced HH-this would work. We arrived at El Segundo mid-afternoon today. Vail was a busy place and we were worried that we might have trouble getting seated as we'd seen lines out the door on other visits to Vail. No problem today and we were promptly seated at an indoor/outdoor table near the outside deck. Beautiful view of the river. "Ignacio" from Chile was our server and he was great - very attentive, offered me an extra napkin after I nuked my shirt with salsa! Chips and salsa are only $4 and well worth it. The salsa is outstanding and the chips seem fresh and perfect. The house margaritas were exactly what we needed on a pretty warm August day. Tacos (fried Mahi-Mahi and guacamole) as well as a double decker seasoned ground beef taco were plenty for my wife and I. This is a GREAT spot. I only give 4 stars from a somewhat limited menus for picky eaters, not homemade tortillas and not free chips and salsa BUT I'm from San Antonio so I am more picky about thats HOWEVER the tacos were very good. The crispy pork belly and hot Korean were STUPID GOOD. The Baja and yardbird were pretty good but easily trumped by the former. Salsa is great, chips are homemade. Cool ambience and good service! Great change of pace in Vail Village. Drinks were delicious. You can tell they used fresh ingredients behind the bar. Food was pretty good. Worse tacos I've ever had in my life. Who charges for chips and salsa? Like? The chicken tacos were really dry. The salsa had to be from a can. The margarita was too sweet, and all the food was unseasonaed. If you want to go somewhere that's terrible, this is the place for you. read more

I went there with my family. Reservation is needed. Staff is very friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The view from the window and outside area is amazing. Mexican cuisine with a twist. Nacho appetizer tasty with guacamole scoop in the center. It is served on a metal tray. Cheese melted and excellent pico. The Brussels spouts glazed with honey spicy glaze are very tasty The chicken and steak fajitas is large size. Meats marinated and juicy. Carne Asada Burrito with fries in it comes out so well. The Appocolypto Burritos with rice inside also has a nice sauce twist. There is a long list of taco that have great variety from Greek to Thai with many protein options including salmon fish prawns steak chicken and even vegetarian. Size of these taco is above average so depending on your appetizers and your appetite 2-3 max per person should be filling. The Baha Fish Tacos so good with fried fish and amazing sauce. Overpriced and the burrito I ate made me feel sick and I could have gotten a better quality one at Chipotle.it was around $20 and came with wilted arugula. Chops and salsa ($4 charge) were average. The service was rushed, which I give a pass on service right now due to staff shortages and covid. High noise level, the only thing I could say was good was the margarita. Out of our party of four, only one person liked their dinner (he got the Baja burrito). There are a lot of better places to go in Vail, would recommend skipping this one. read more

The absolute worst service experience I've had in the last 10 years. The waiter came to our table twice during the entirety of the evening and one of my friends orders was completely forgotten about. He was not served until after everyone was already done eating. Lastly it's is sad that they enforce a 20 percent tip without having an option to tip yourself. To insure prompt service is what tips stand for and our service was not prompt or adequate in any way. Food was excellent. Had the chips and salsa, carne asada and polo asada burritos and nachos and it was fantastic.

Average to below average Mexican food. Outdoor seating is just a request and not guaranteed.

We enjoyed our dinner! Kids had chicken tenders/fries and Mac-n-cheese/fries. Both were good. The chicken breading was a little dark/burned, but the chicken itself was cooked just right. The macaroni was sauced just enough that the noodles weren't drenched. The white cheese sauce was good. If they use this sauce as the base to their queso, I bet the queso would be yummy--but we won't know because the server either forgot to ring it up, or the kitchen didn't send it out before our meal. I can't forget, the fries were nice and golden, and crispy! The kids gobbled those up. I had the segundo bowl with chicken. Everything in the bowl was tasty, the chicken was nice and tender. The bowl had a little more arugula than I liked, but that didn't stop me from eating everything in the generous dish. SO got beef fajitas. Meat was tender, a generous plate of tortillas and accompaniments was provided, but salsa was not. We stayed in Vail for a long weekend.
