This place came highly recommended to us by a local and I know why. It was very good! You place your order at the counter and pick it up at the driver's side of the truck! (You will know what I mean when you see it.). You can take it to go or eat at one of their tables inside or outside. We had the Juan Bowl with steak for $8.50, 3 chicken tacos for $14.25, salsa & homemade chips ($5) and Mexican street corn $4.25. I was visiting Vero Beach this Memorial weekend and we had lunch at El Sid one day. I was truly impressed by it. It is a farm to table mexican spot, which also serves ice cream. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and corn and they were both so fresh and delicious! The quesadillas aren't made like your traditional quesadillas and include cabbage and pickled jalapeño, which I thought was kind of strange, but it definitely worked and is prob one of my fav quesadillas I've had to date. I also got a frozen margarita which was really good and refreshing and surprisingly good for coming out of a machine. I liked my items so much I forgot to photograph them, but I have my friends tacos which she absolutely loved as well. When I'm back in Vero I will def come back here again. read more

This taco place is quick and delicious. I stopped in last week and had a veggie taco with Portabella mushrooms, and one cajun shrimp one. I was sorry I hadn't gotten both with the shrimp, because those were absolutely killer! So today I made sure to get two of the shrimp. They make their own different kinds of salsas, which you help yourself to at their salsa bar. The Mexican street corn side is also excellent. I love the fact that they only use one instead of two tacos to hold the filling, as that makes them lighter. I'm not a huge fan of tacos when they use 2 because it's just too much tortilla for me. Good food but took forever and staff was rude. Plus the inside is very confusing. I was in the line to the left to order food however people in the right line to order drinks would cut over in front of people trying to place orders. Food was extremely expensive. A $100 meal should have been $35. It was not worth the long wait or money. Again, staff seemed very irritated and annoyed. I would skip this place. Order taker was rude with an attitude, wanting me to rush my order. When the food came out, the chips and salsa had two small one once containers of salsa (not nearly enough, but wait! I could buy more), the taco was dry (moistness) and tastless, the quesadillas matched the taco in tasteless. in the Resturants favor is its location and a pretty cool serving truck. After an overpriced dinner of fried seafood at the place next door - we wanted something light and fresh. Tacos and salad was about perfect! I was super impressed with the quality of the Mahi on my salad- VERY fresh. My only suggestion would be to do a better cbop on the salad - eating those long and big pieces of greens was really tough with a plastic fork! I stopped by at the recommendation of a friend to pick up some dinner to go. I got the "you juan a bowl" with chicken. The location is awesome and an easy spot before or after a beach day. There are a few seats inside, and tables outside. The woman working was nice and my to-go order came out within minutes. It was delicious and I will definitely be back to try more of the menu. First local place I've tried since relocating to Vero and I unfortunately have to say this place left much to be desired. Our party of four ordered a few different items ranging from drinks (frozen marg, americano) to birria tacos, queso and salsa. From my friend's explanation, the tacos were short of a true birria taco with nothing to dip it in on the side. To say the child were oily would provide only an understatement. I appreciated how thick and substantial the chips were but think they could have benefitted from some draining, even if just a little. The size of salsa in an order for the price paid seemed bewildering to me- the size of the cup was no more than a few ounces. I came here for lunch because it was in the new Hot Spot in Vero. The inside is small but a very cool layout. Your food is served to you through an old pickup truck. You're really cool touch. I worked a few tacos to try out the place. What I got versus what they charge me did not meet a realistic expectation. The meatly lost a star because of the price vs portion size. Second star is lost on the food alone. The taco shells we're smaller than the average taco shell that was not a double shell. Almost every good taco and this price range is on a 6 inch tortilla what's double layer to hold the weight and moisture of the meat inside of it. The feeling was very meager when it came to the meet I'm loaded with lettuce. A second shell would have been too much she'll to fill in ratio. If these tacos for a dollar fifty each today would be a perfect deal and a five-star. Sadly after spending $15 for lunch on small meager tacos they didn't have a lot of flavor I left hungry and disappointed. There are at least five other places within 10 miles then you can visit and see what people expect for a taco. You could replicate the visual expectation and size expectation and Portion expectation within a 1 hour Taco Expedition around town before opening the doors. read more

Really great tacos. Best I found in Vero. It's close to the beach, has orange slushies with fresh Florida oranges from a local farm, and the tacos are street style. Small menu but doesn't need anything other than what's on it! Queso was the best I've ever had. Salsa is great. I had the carne asada taco and the carnitas taco with chips and queso. We love El Sid. The food is fresh and delicious. The chips are greasy but good, and the frozen margaritas are refreshing on a hot day. I would give five out of five but they're always out of empanadas no matter the time of day, so I'm not sure it's a real menu item. There are seats around the front, side and back, but not too many inside so this is a good weather spot. UPDATE: I came back the next day, this time with my daughter and her friend. We all had tacos, I had the steak again the kids had the brown beef tacos and we also got the Mexican Street corn as a side. Boy, was all this food delicious! The place is run by young people who are very professional and hospitable. We are visiting from out of town and totally give this place 5 stars. They even sell masks for a $1 if you forget yours. Go have a taco and or some other delicious dish while you stop by! Had the steak tacos today and boy were they delish. They were a bit small and at $4 each, I had to have 2, which I thought was a bit pricey. However, I really enjoyed them and would definitely go back again. They were served with shredded cheese and, there were delicious spicy sauces like a salsa verde available to top them off with a squirt of lime. You go to the counter to order and then wait for your food, which is presented at the window of a cute truck inside the building.
