I came to El Sol for lunch after hearing from a local that the Everest location was the best--so I had to check it out. The vibe here is great: family-friendly with an authentic Mexican feel, big TVs, and good music as soon as you walk in. I ordered the Fish Platter (#30), which comes with a fish fillet, fries, rice, and coleslaw. The coleslaw was surprisingly tasty, the fries were solid, and the fried fish over the rice was fantastic. Portion sizes are generous--I spent about $23 and left completely full and satisfied. Service was great, the food was quality, and the overall experience was worth every dollar. I absolutely love El Sol, I come visit everytime I'm in town! The cardne guisda plate is my personal favorite. So we visited for late breakfast on weekend, these people nickel n diming coins for late breakfast requests. Most people like to sleep in on weekends then grab breakfast... Seriously? All prices go up, significant especially breakfast tacos, plus they have increased their credit card fees. While food is decent service is good they are gouging customers with their additional fees. Not good for loyal customers. We've been going here regularly for years and now will not due to their silly greedy mark up fees. read more

Food is always great cooked the way I ordered it and is delicious every time. Love their flour chips, it's hard to get them crispy without making them hard or burning them but they do it. The restaurant is clean and you will rarely see dirty tables. My only complaint is the guacamole. Theirs is only smashed avocado. I prefer the red onion, jalapeños, little tomato and a little lime, but here you'll just get smashed avocados. read more

The prices are reasonable on drinks and the the food as well.. The resturant is a bit small but for sure they make room for you. The facility is clean and neat. The outside is kept clean and looks great. Wish they had more sweet bread all night long but they only make a little and then once it runs out that is it. They should make extra and store it away. Been going here every weekend for late breakfast. Service is on and off however their food is so so good. Very busy place...the tortillas are so fresh and cooked to perfection. The Barbacoa is outstanding. I love that they serve breakfast at all times. S ervice was acceptable but a tad lacking on refills for coffee and water. Great food ,freshly made, salsa n chips... the chips are so crisp non traditional with good flavor.. I do highly recommend. Its important to mention if you pay with credit card they now have a service fee % of your bill included on your ticket. Appears more of these small businesses are now implementing this fee. I like this place, the food is good. The service is a little lacking. I've been there 5 times and every time I have a problem. For example: One time I didn't get chips and salsa. One time I had beer w/ lunch and got no water. Another time I got chips and salsa after my meal arrived. Last time a asked for a second beer and never got it so I left. It could be because they are new and don't have their system down yet. Its so beautiful inside, you can't believe it and the food is so good it's great. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! Almost everytime I come through the drive thru, I have nasty customer service. Dirty looks, no introduction, getting my order wrong over and over again, getting really small amounts of food for a really high price and being over charged. I have been going to this place for about 2 or 3 years now and I always loved getting tacos from them through the drive thru. They open at 6am so I was always there bright and early, ready for a breakfast taco. Sometimes they didn't start taking orders until 6:30am even though their hours say open at 6am. Sometimes the line was extremely long and the wait could be 30 to 45 minutes in the drive thru. One time I waited 45 min. And drove home to find that my taco was the smallest thing in the world compared to what they advertise. It was not the first time I would get a few breakfast tacos and 1 would be really large and the other is really small. So I did what I thought to do and I called the place to let them know I recieved the smallest taco ever, taco bell sized, and they told me they would write my name down for the next time I came in I would recieve a free taco. The next time went there, I told them about the free taco I was supposed to get. They kept saying they could not do it now. That I needed to tell them when I was ordering and not at the window. So I came back again another time and ordered, mentioning the free taco at the order screen. They did not understand what I was saying and kept saying I don't know. I asked if there was anyone here who spoke English and they said no. I stopped going there for a while until this morning I went to try to give them one more chance, STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED MY FREE TACO, I order and drive home. On the way home i was thinking about how expensive the order was ($26-ish) and that it didn't seem right for 3 tacos and 2 lemonade. I know they changed their prices recently so I figured I would just call and have them ring the order up for me again to make sure they rang it up right. When I was on the phone, the person I was speaking with was not a manager. They did not have any English speaking managers on site so someone was translating for the manager. The guy on the phone told the manager what my order was and she gave him a total of ($13-ish) I immediately told him I paid 26. He said to come in and they can refund the part I overpaid. I then told him about the free taco that I never recieved and I have been given the run around for. So he told me they could refund the WHOLE ORDER for the inconvenience or I could get the whole order remade. I am so done with this place so I told them I wanted a refund. I tried tk do the refund over the phone but they told me I had to come in. When I get there, I show them the receipt and they start asking me what my order was to try and give me the difference. She added it up and it came out to 22 dollars and some change. Which is totally different than what I was told on the phone. I tried to explain to them that the person I spoke with said the manager would refund the entire order and she kept saying "ok". she then showed me the calculator which was 4 dollars and some change. I told her again they were supposed to give me the whole refund which she then said "no" and shook her head. I told her "This is ridiculous and there has been a lot of miscommunication every time I come here". She asked "was it through the drive thru" I said "yes" and she literally shrugged her shoulders like the drive thru doesn't matter. Which she then showed me the calculator again. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to and she said "no". And shook her head. I ended up just taking my 4 dollars and change and leaving. I will never be coming back to this place ever again I can promise that. And I don't suggest you do either. Thanks. read more

The food is great here...most of the time. I'd rate it higher...but have a few issues... Why doesn't the guy who takes care of the front...not wear a mask. Thought it was mandatory! Thank gosh I'm not the one who usually deals with him. And I don't understand why when you ask for food to be well done...you have to send it back a few times to get it right?! Waitress...I think her name is Minnie? She's the best they have. Always attentive and takes great care of clients. She knows how to juggle multiple tables and not get backed up. We went in the evening a couple of weeks ago and our waitress was apparently new and was eating at a table right behind us. Wow! read more

don't normally leave bad reviews, but me and some friends went in today to have dinner and we have never had any issues before food has always been good, but today we ordered an appetizer as soon as we got it, the salad looked old and it had a very sour funny taste to it. so we kindly told the waitress and she removed it from the table, we go to pay up front and see that she's charging us for it so when we tell the cashier we didn't eat that she says she doesn't care that she's going to charge it anyway, her attitude was awful and disrespectful especially for being "the manager" she refused to remove it from the ticket and didn't care that we didn't even eat the food she charged for it anyway, Trina Trinity whatever her name was doesn't know proper customer service to be in charge, we will never be back. read more
