He commented that carne guisada was overcooked, I tasted and agreed. I put this place to the true test by ordering menudo... and they failed. Menudo tasted like they didn't wash tripas after parboiling them. Each bite was initially good follow up by an uncomfortable, dirty aftertaste. My verdict: not bad, just mid. I recently visited Feliz Amanecer on a Sunday, arriving just 30 minutes before closing time. I ordered the carne guisada, and while the gravy was flavorful, I was disappointed with the overall quality of the dish. The meat was quite chewy, which made it less enjoyable than I had hoped. Additionally, the tortillas were tough, almost like they had been sitting out for a while and then reheated. For around $15, I expected a better experience. I understand that it was close to closing time, but I believe that every customer deserves a fresh and satisfying meal, regardless of when they arrive. I hope they can improve on these aspects because I've heard good things about this place, and I'd love to give it another shot in the future! read more
