The location is right next to a gas station so little parking available. They have a food truck outside next to their dine-in inside. I like that they have a limited menu so that's was good. I will say this, I've never had Hmong food so I am not sure how it should taste. I order half dozen egg rolls and three spring rolls, and a large Nab Vam drink. The egg rolls were crispy, although the glass noodles inside caught me off guard. Actually, I didn't like them... I do like their sweet and spicy sauce though. The spring rolls were nice and thick, and I like that they add pork to theirs. Definitely filling. However, their peanut sauce is overwhelming spicy. It kinda masks the nutty flavor of the peanut butter. The drink was ok. I love how colorful it was. I listen to the guy and shake my drink well, but I didn't find it no where sweet. I think I had expectations that it would taste like a boba drink but yea it felt off for me. Other wise, it's ok. I ended up disagreeing with my friend on the eggrolls claim lol

I've been craving Hamachi for weeks, then I saw a post on face book that Matsumoto Samurai's Kitchen in Oakhurst is offering Hamachi Plate today. It's a rare opportunity and I immediately called in to reserve my order. Chef's hamachi today was excellent. The light pink colour has a natural sheen, and the texture is firm yet buttery. His preparation was perfect, allowing the fish to show off its rich and slightly sweet flavour. There is hardly any fishy aroma. I could eat this on its own but my order came with rice and Japanese omelette. The Japanese omelette was tender and slightly custardy in texture, well-seasoned, and has a sweet note. Green salad and ponzu sauce were also included in my order of Hamachi Plate. I devoured every morsel of it. That's how delicious everything was. I know that chefs Yuji and Veronique take great pride in their cooking because it shows in the food they prepare and serve. Thank you, chefs, for continuing to offer the local community and tourists your wonderful cuisine.
