I ordered my meal through Doordash and did a pick up. Order was fulfilled within 15 minutes. The person up on the front counter was friendly when handing over my bag of food. Clean atmosphere inside, real spacious. I ordered a chicken fried steak and my wife had a breakfast burrito; both meals are satisfying to have on a Sunday morning. The chicken fried steak has a nice outer crunch, the chicken is cooked well and not greasy; the gravy that is included is a nice compliment to the dish. The eggs i had with it is scrambled and is a good pairing with hash brows that are included in the entree. My wife's breakfast burrito had a nice char on the outside tortilla, i appreciate the chef making the effort to make sure the burrito didn't appear plain. The eggs and bacon in the burrito are cooked right, the burrito is enhanced by smearing some of the sour cream and pour some of the salsa they included on the side. Super delicious, warm, welcoming brunch spot. This is the breakfast restaurant I dream of where you can get coffee and pancakes or pozole and birria. The have built a really commendable community hub and it's great to see all different kinds of people come together to eat this food with their families. We got the birria plate, hot chocolate, coffee, and tacos dorados de pollo. Fresh made salsa, grated cabbage, pico, queso fresco and crema - all the details that make it so delicious I couldn't get a photo before we already dug in. Very reasonably priced. I would absolutely eat here again. You can tell this is home cooking, not prepacked seasonings. It was not oversalted. Rice was moist, refried beans molten lava of deliciousness. Had the Verde enchilada and a quesadilla. Lots of meat in both. Beautiful presentation. Our first experience with El Super Apollo was good. We stopped by for breakfast and thought it was pretty good. It was an improvement over the restaurant's previous tenants. We also liked seeing the Mexican influences on breakfast that we mentally saved to our to do list. While we were there that first time, we kept seeing all these amazing looking Mexican dishes come out of the kitchen and it made us want to come back for lunch or dinner. We even spent some time looking at the rest of the menu and thought we had just found on new favorite go-to spot for Mexican. Not to mention, the place was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. We went back a week later to pick up a to-go order of their grilled chicken and a few other dishes and that's when the disappointment started creeping in. Unlike the last time, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Maybe that should have been a sign. Our order only travelled 5 minutes away so that wasn't the reason for the food's lack of warmth. I could feel it when I was handed the order that it wasn't very warm. We ordered a half grilled chicken with sides, nachos with carne asada, chicken taquitos and a few carnitas tacos. Unfortunately most of our food was lukewarm. I was surprised at how quickly our order was given to us since we didn't call it in and now I know why. The more we dig into our dinner, we came to realize most of our food was reheated. The beans with the taquitos had a crust on them from reheating, you know, that crust that forms along the edges of the pot the beans were in. The grilled chicken was practically shoe leather with how dry and overdone it was, it wasn't very warm to begin with. The taquitos themselves were dry and the tortilla it was wrapped in very tough. The nachos were OK but very imbalanced. The carne asada was good but the cheese was not very melted and just too much toppings and not well distributed in the tortillas. While the flavors were all good, it was hard to get over that they reheated our food and it wasn't made to order. We might try them again in the restaurant and earlier in the day to see if this is just how they do things or not but we are not going to do it any time soon. This place will take your order telling you that they are doing take out only but when you come in speaking Spanish, they ask you how many in your party then seat you immediately. As a southern Californian, super disappointing to be treated like an outsider just because we didn't walk in speaking Spanish. Go somewhere else for a warmer, more welcoming experience. read more

(once picking up uber eats and the second time today to actually try the food) Soooooooooo I had the steak and green chilaquiles! Mannnnnnnn the steak was cooked perfectly, the chilaquiles had a good flavor and spicy. The eggs were cooked perfectly medium with a runny yolk! My wife had the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy! Mannnnn that sausage gravy was exceptional!!!! It was seasoned perfectly with nice big chunks of sausage. The french toast had a very strong vanilla flavor and so warm and delicious!! Ughhhhhh i wanted to try so many other things. Just 2 things i wasn't crazy about: 1. the steak needed more salt and pepper 2. the hash brown were too thick. Crispy on top but mushy on the inside. These guys fell from Grace a little bit you know I had oh I forgot what that state was called but it's a stake in the omelette it was so so I mean the pieces were very small and you know it's kind of like not that good but everything else was okay I really like the the home fries were insane so and my English muffin was a little burnt but it wasn't horrible and the only problem is you know they never give you a lot of fruit and give you a couple little pieces of fruit why don't we live a little give a little more okay well price wasn't bad it was a real it was a pretty big meal I got two meals out of it so this is more like three and a half Stars cuz you know you can't put three and a half on it here so keep that in mind enjoy your day happy spring. We've eaten here before and it was okay. Today, however, we ordered a to go order. I work healthcare and only have a 30 minute lunch. When we got there, we decided to eat it there but they said that wasn't allowed because we ordered it to go. They were very slow and had plenty of tables available. I explained that I work in healthcare and only had about 20 minutes left on my lunch break. Even though the food was ready and tables were available they said no. I was really excited to tried them!!! My husband and I live in Tacoma but we were staying really closed to buried for a mini vacation in Seattle at the beginning of the month.. I decided to order from the restaurant through Doordash. Everything was fine, the restaurant accepted my order and my Dasher went to pick it up. Once she got there they told her the order was not ready and that they wouldn't do it, that they were not event part of Doordash. My dasher was upset since they wasted her time and she had to cancel the order..I felt the same way, I waited at least an hour for an order that they accepted and they indicated they were preparing for nothing. This is a great little restaurant. I love that they have both traditional Mexican food and American style breakfast. I am a vegetarian and my husband loves "real food" and the whole family is happy with the selection here. The food is incredible I got 2 1/2 chicken dinners cost me 31 bucks with tip on Monday night .. it was close to closing time but food was so good I came back today . We ordered 1/2 chicken an 4 tacos .. again the food was awesome. Server was friendly no issues there . We got up to pay and as my wife was paying I looked into the back . To see if he had put on gloves And here .. I seem him grab a handful of salad place it on the plate and fix it up just like mine . Bare handed no gloves . He then wiped his hand on his pants and made another one . I'm not sure if all the cooks have medical reasons to not wear a mask . They require u to wear one to gain access and sit down. Servers were rolling around sporting masks . The cook casually strolled out and looked out the window for a good 5 minutes no mask . Walked into the back talked to a server and started cooking . No washing of the hands as I had clear view from my seat into the kitchen . Damn shame cause the food was good But now my concern is this cook not wearing gloves and touching ready to eat food with out gloves . Which I do believe is a health code violation. We stopped by for breakfast a week ago. We had done some very early holiday grocery shopping and were hungry NOW and did not want to wait in a long line at one of the well-known popular breakfast spots in Burien. I remembered El Super Pollo served breakfast so we stopped by. We were seated immediately - there was plenty of room, quick service and our breakfasts arrived in what seemed like 5 minutes. It was a great choice as my wife prefers a U.S. style breakfast (I would say American, but which America? South, Central, North?) and I love a Mexican style breakfast. We both loved it and hers was so large that she took it home for two more meals. Prices were very reasonable, spotless place, super friendly and easy/free parking. I was having my oil changed across the street and decided to visit this new restaurant for a burrito. Very disappointed. The menu said an extra $1.49 for sour cream and guacamole. She rang it in at $3.50. The chicken burrito was $8. I opened the burrito when it arrived and there was no guacamole. No flavor. Perfect birria with a great spicy kick, and very generous portion for $12 after tax. Fresh tortillas and the salsa bar is great, with both the red and avo/cilantro being absolutely delicious.
