    Spicy Margarita

My friend and I had a FANTASTIC time catching up after our Congregation meeting over well seasoned food and margaritas. Our server was super friendly and helpful and the place was not crowded at all, unusual for a Sunday afternoon. Though it started to fill a bit it never got really crowded or loud or too noisy. Will definitely be back again!

Visited this restaurant the other day and had the chicken, beef quesadilla and rice. Deliciousness is way one to describe it. Staff extremely friendly and service was good. Will be certain to visit again.

    ## El Taco Veloz: A Bi-Coastal Celebration of Authentic Mexican Flavor I recently had the privilege of attending a Yelp Elite Event at the brand new location of El Taco Veloz. What a delightful surprise it was to discover this gem has not one, but two sides! The original location, a beloved Cincinnati staple for 9 years, sits comfortably beside its vibrant, year-old sibling. Stepping into the new El Taco Veloz is like entering a fiesta. Eye-catching decorations transport you south of the border, while strategically placed premium liquors create a dazzling display above the entrance. The atmosphere buzzes with a welcoming energy, perfect for a gathering of friends or a casual family dinner. The culinary journey began with a symphony of salsas - each with its own distinct personality. Fresh, vibrant flavors danced on my tongue, a testament to the use of high-quality ingredients. I could tell right away that El Taco Veloz doesn't skimp on authenticity. This was further confirmed by the generous samples of their chicken, beef, and cheese fillings. Each bite offered a burst of authentic Mexican taste, free from the processed aftertaste that plagues some restaurants. But El Taco Veloz isn't just about the food (although that's certainly a highlight!). Their margaritas are legendary, and with good reason. I had the pleasure of indulging in both the jumbo mango margarita - a tropical explosion of flavor - and the classic margarita on the rocks, a timeless testament to the power of simplicity. Both were expertly crafted and perfectly balanced. The portions, both for food and drinks, were incredibly generous. The value proposition here is outstanding - you won't leave El Taco Veloz feeling hungry or ripped off. But beyond the deliciousness and affordability, what truly elevates the experience is the customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, mirroring the warm ambiance of the restaurant itself. Whether you're seeking a lively gathering place with friends, a casual yet flavorful family dinner, or a fun outing with colleagues, El Taco Veloz has something for everyone. With its two locations, this restaurant offers a bi-coastal celebration of authentic Mexican flavor, all within the heart of Cincinnati. Do yourself a favor and experience it for yourself! Also on site for the event was treats by Morgan and the cookies were amazingly decorated !!!! Please support small business!

My tacos with a hot sauce. Toasty hot!

Parking is good! Just hit up the QR code on the way in and remember your plate number and boom! Free parking! The parking is shared with Hampton Inn. Menu has all the basic favorites and I do love me a good street taco! I was not disappointed! Most of the menu is ala carte so rice and beans were a separate order from my tacos. The service was great! My server had a broken arm and still managed stellar work! Impressive! The place is a bit industrial but I was comfortable. There is indoor and outdoor options and the prices are very reasonable. Give this place a try! I will be back!

This place is so consistently good. It's not "just another" Mexican restaurant. Before I even talk about the food, I want to say the decor is so nice. It's small, but nice. It's close to my home, so I've been there several times...but, I would drive a distance to eat here. The food is so good and the prices are too. Lots of food for the price, as well. It always taste very fresh. From the comp salsa & chips to the meals to the guac...and don't get me started on the refried beans! Best I've EVER had! This place is a must try and has more than 1 location.

The first impression is always an indication of what's to come - at the front door you are greeted with the aroma of my favorite taqueria in Tijuana - the food was pretty amazing - the proprietor maintained a great presence in the dining room - the restaurant gives off a college hangout kind of vibe - a long counter for your preferred drink - half a dozen specialty margaritas - I sampled the traditional, peach and mango margaritas - they were pretty amazing - don't be tempted to start out with too many delicious drinks - you'll miss out on the authentic Mexican food and sides - I could've lived with just a plateful of the refritos and some tortillas this is a can't miss place to catch up with friends and enjoy a wide selection of fresh margaritas and snacks -

I absolutely love this place. The staff is so nice and welcoming. The drinks are delicious and cute! And they have great vegetarian options, I love the quesadilla veloz. Perfect amount of delicious food for an affordable price. So lucky to have this as a neighborhood joint!

Tried this place during taco week, and so glad we did! The tacos were pretty good- fresh tasting and certainly a great value during taco week. The real star was the Veloz burrito. "Served with steak, chicken, shrimp, sausage, pineapple, white rice, beans, and cheese sauce.", this burrito have great flavor and was HUGE! Loved it. Our server was super friendly, helped us confirm we were in a legit parking spot, and was great the whole time. We will be back - and we will get there in time for the 4-7 happy hour specials!

Oh my goodness! If you like street tacos, this is where you need to go!!!! The service is awesome! I've been here 3 times now and every time, the service just gets better! Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The place colorful, bright and inviting. Please give place a chance if want to have a great taco, enchilada, or more!!!! It's a new go-to for us!!!!!

While Visiting Cincinnati for a Graduation- We decided to try this place over hotel restaurant. I was not disappointed: I ordered the Barbacoa Torta - It was amazing. One of the best I've had. Wife was NOT impressed with her Beef Tacos.

Well this is a awesome local spot. Chips were crisp and tasty. Servers were so friendly. Overall the food was really good with lots of seating. It looked like the margaritas were good but it was a work lunch so no bueno. Its a nice place to grab a bite. Go here.

It was so substantial that I only made it through half. I enjoyed it with chorizo, but for a modest surcharge, they will make it with brisket! The Al Pastor Hash was the standout. It was beautifully balanced, full of bold, authentic flavors, and expertly prepared. One of my brunch-mates spends much of the year traveling through Latin America, and he was genuinely impressed. Excellent food, generous portions, and a memorable brunch experience. We'll definitely be back and look forward to trying more of the menu! I didn't think I'd find something that could compete with Bakersfield but this does. It has unique flare without being over the top like some places can. Like pairing pickled veggies with my shrimp? Yes please! Ceviche was a little on the smaller side. Its flavor was there but price to size wasn't worth it to me. Recommend the grilled esquites as a side. I can't NOT get the charro beans because they were addicting. I could live on them in the winter. Tacos were so ed how you'd expect with homemade corn tortillas. Delicious, but I'd say Bakersfield pulls ahead just a touch with the tacos. Camerones Saadi's was delicious! I'd get it again, but still want to try some of their other mains. I did try dessert. Mind you I'm not huge on tres leches as it is so it might not be surprising that it wasn't my favorite. It was a tad on the drier side and textured (this was coconut tres leches so probably where the texture came from). I'd skip dessert the next go round maybe, unless they had some other fun seasonal things to try. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails as well! Especially the mezcal-based ones.

Some things are out of your control, but still I would've enjoyed my food more if I could have sat and ate it. This place feels a little light a hole in the wall in downtown Cincinnati. It does not have lots of tables, it is unassuming on the outside, and the menu is simple. We were drawn to it, even with the long lines because of all of the game goers. Considering its size and the line, we did not wait an unreasonable amount of time to order and then receive our food. Everyone orders at the counter so you have to go through one at a time and wait for everyone before you to decide their orders. The food is then called out and you have to go get it. This system probably helped our situation and made things move faster. I got their signature turtle, which is basically a large crunch wrap, with chicken served southwest style. It was awesome but very large! We were going out after and did not want to carry leftover boxes, so I ate it all and kind of regretted it after. But I simply could not stop cause the food was so good! The prices are also fair and they have plenty of beer and cocktails to offer from their bar. I would love to come back here on a quieter night so we can sit and enjoy the food wholly, perhaps with a beverage as well.
