    Carnitas tacos.

2 carnitas tacos. Grilled tortillas filled with pork. Combo of grilled and fresh onions and cilantro. $2.50 a taco is a bit expensive for the size. #spicemeister approved.

This place is much more charming on the inside. The small restaurant has seating and is attached to a drive through and looks sketchy, but the food is tasty and there are a lot of menu options. I mostly come for the soup. I don't know anyone else who offers soup with street tacos. So flavorful! It's only served weekends. The service was friendly and they bring the grub to your table and there's no need to drop your plates off anywhere if you're dining in.

Muy bien. Stumbled upon this place last week during the brief rain storm, and I'm glad I did. The absolute best authentic Mexican food in town. I ordered sopes and something else equally delicious and after one bite, I was hooked. Vegetables are supposed to have a crunch and these definitely did. The food is fresh and seasoned to perfection. This is my new fav. #ADRIANDRIVESUBER #uewee #Ubering #uber #theplanborganizer #adrianscottfitzgerald

Under that beef are cheese enchiladas. Delicious!

I came here with a Groupon, and the first thing I noticed was a sign on the door saying they don't accept the Groupons on Wednesdays, so just a word of warning there. Not sure what happens on Wednesdays that makes them too popular, but I wish I lived close enough to find out. The food was good, but the service was a little slow. The prices for food were very reasonable for what you got. I had a lime margarita on the rocks which was worth the $5 happy hour price, but I question whether it is up to par for the normal $7 price. Then again, I am a bit picky about my drinks. I'd probably get a beer if I came again, and there was a decent selection of Mexican imports. I tried one of the cheese enchilada lunch specials and was pleased that the cheese seemed to be real. All too often Mexican restaurants use a super melty processed cheese that only tastes good because it is so salty. This has a fresh, clean taste. My partner got the chicken chilaquiles, which were very tasty and perhaps even better than what I chose. It was definitely enough food to fill you up, but I wish I could have had enough room in my belly to try their tacos too. They looked delicious.

This was my first time going to this restaurant and I can say it was very good authentic tacos. I got pastor and chorizo tacos with sour cream and cheese. I will definitely be back. It was priced at 1.75 per taco which isn't bad.

This entree was all of that!

Okay so don't let the outside fool you. The actual restaurant is attached to a drive through. And while the building is less than desirable, they fully make up for it. Food is authentic Mexican. We were pleasantly surprised. Prices are very reasonable and portions are really good. We came on a Friday after work and they actually have Happy Hour Margaritas for $5 and they were pretty good, made with 1800. They were doing a lot of takeout and by the time we left, it was obvious that this place had a faithful following. We will definitely be back. Found another great hole-in-the wall with excellent food. Because sometimes, that's all you really need.

    Chips and guac!

The food is always great but their dine in service is super slow. Over a 30min wait for food to come out and waitress didn't seem to care.

We started with a Hot Apple Cider, topped with maple-infused whipped cream and cinnamon, along with a couple of hot coffees. The cider was warm, comforting, and full of cozy fall flavors. Unfortunately, the self-serve coffee station wasn't kept stocked, and after waiting quite a while for a refill, we eventually gave up. For breakfast, we ordered two Mushroom Frittatas, a Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, and a side of Housemade Breakfast Sausage. The Mushroom Frittata featured three hearth-baked eggs with roasted mushrooms, sweet onions, and Gruyère cheese, served alongside breakfast potatoes and a peppery arugula salad. It was flavorful, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. Although I informed the staff about my peanut allergy, I was surprised to find the crispy breakfast potatoes on my plate, which left me uncertain whether the allergy request had been fully communicated to the kitchen. The Fresh Buttermilk Biscuit, served with strawberry preserves, was one of the highlights of the meal. It was flaky, buttery, and wonderfully moist, pairing perfectly with the sweet preserves. The Housemade Breakfast Sausage consisted of two peppery pork patties that were juicy and well-seasoned, making a great accompaniment to the rest of the meal. Overall, we enjoyed a delicious and filling breakfast with fresh, high-quality ingredients. While I wish the coffee station had been monitored more closely and that greater care had been taken regarding my food allergy, the Mushroom Frittata and fresh biscuit alone make Northstar Café worth returning to.
