A friend of mine decided to stop by this location. I stopped by before with another friend of mine but we noticed they took cash only and that sort of canceled our plans. I noticed through the reviews many people raved about this location so of course it made me curious. The service is very efficient and welcoming. Parking pretty much depends on the time you arrive because It's limited. The dining area on the inside and the outside is quite tight and small so it's better to take your food to go. I tried their chicken tacos with a squirt. My friend decided to go with carne asada tacos. She was very pleased with how tender the meat was. Me personally, my tacos taste ordinary, nothing really stands out about them. The prices are quite high but the portions aren't all that great. I appreciate the fact that they have a mini bar with the different toppings that you might appreciate.

I brought some home for my husband and he loved it. I just reheated everything in the toaster oven for 8-10 minutes. The hand-made tortillas hold up really well and prevents the taco from getting soggy. The taste of the carnitas and cabeza were absolutely amazing. That flavor was delicious and you can't find it around the O.C. I thought the pastor was just okay. I really enjoyed the sauces and the pickled carrots and onions. Cash only. Will come back to try other items on the menu.

The pastor is perfectly seasoned. Not too tough or chewy. Hands down some of the best I've had in LA. Try their pickled carrots. You won't regret it. Very nice staff! Only downside is their hours are a little short. 8am- 4/5pm most days. Great for lunch.

Tasty menudo! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the meat was tender with no weird pieces. Portion size was solid and it tasted just like authentic homemade menudo. Definitely a comfort dish done right -- I'll be coming back for it again. read more

I've been coming here for many many years and still love it !! My go to are the asada mulitas and I add beans to it . So good!! Everyone is very friendly as well. The restaurant is small so I always order to go. Don't forget the pineapple agua Fresca. read more

This is the original La Taquiza. They're popular for their mulitas. A mulita is two torillas, cheese, meat, and guacamole. It's basically a tortilla burger, sans beef patty. The food is almost the same. The meat has changed slightly. Maybe it's the way they chop their asada, but I'm not sure. I feel like it used to have more of a charcoal flavor. The new owner is the cousin of the original, and they said they didn't change their recipe. I still love their home made tortillas, and the salsa bar is still the same. If you've ever been to the one near USC, then this place is very similar. The one by USC does offer more varieties, and holds a more expansive menu, but this place makes tortillas as you order. That's a key difference. Decor is minimal, and by minimal, I mean nonexistent. There's barely anywhere to sit. Please don't come here for any other reason than a quick eat. If you're ever in South Central - or even near the area - and craving tacos, this is the place to eat. Their asada pastor (grilled pork) and carne asada (beef) tacos are amazingly delicious, and everything at this place is extremely affordable (a little more than a buck a taco). There's also a toppings bar where you can smother your tacos in as much pico de gallo, mild/hot sauce, pickled veggies, etc. as your heart desires. The only con is there isn't much seating at this place, but the food more than makes up for it. Just writing this review makes me want to go back for more tacos... read more

I got a Mulita de asada that was good the cheese and guacamole was fire . The taco de al pastor was soso it's not the trompo alpastor it's the pieces of chunk . And the worst part I got my order Togo with no lemons because the guy who took my order was a asshole and I didn't want to go back and ask I assumed they were in the bag before I left . My wife and I wanted some Tacos and had originally planned on getting the family pack from Sonoratown tacos downtown, however they were not selling them because of a technical issue they had,so I went to YELP for HELP!! I saw this place with nothing but 5 stars and after reading the reviews I decided to try them. We order 9 tacos 6 Asada and 3 chicken. I got home and when we took our first bite of the asada we were both impressed. The meat had great flavor and the tortillas are hand made. These were some of the best tacos I've had. The meat alone was awesome. Ordering from here you will not be disappointed. Definitely will be back!!!! read more

These are real authentic tacos!!! Tacos of Al Pastor are to die for! The Asada tacos are amazing!! The quesadilla of Al Pastor with guacamole, OMG that right there is where it's at. You must try it!! The Horchata was on point. If you're in the area looking for tacos and you're reading this, try them you won't be disappointed. Handmade tortillas! Goodness I'm in love. The people working there are very nice and food is done quick. I found my new taco spot :) read more

What a bomb ass burrito! Just when you think you've been to every type of taco shop, there's Tacorin. If you order an item that would normally contain salsa, onion, cilantro, etc, Tacorin is different because you get to sauce it up however you like prior to the Cook wrapping up your item. It's like a reverse Chipotle, minus the regret. read more

My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and patient with those of us who are not fluent in Spanish. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout our visit. They offer a "Mini" version which would be satisfactory for one person. My favorite thing about these burritos is how "home-made" they are, the salsas and meats are fresh and taste like they came out of an abuelitas kitchen. I still need to try the crunchy tacos and nachos which look great, I recommend trying this classic establishment at least once if you're in the area.

Taqueria El Tacorin is a hidden gem, a small and cozy spot that only accepts cash, ensuring the quality of their food is top-notch. The chefs put a lot of love into their dishes, from perfectly seasoned meats to freshly made tortillas. The pickled onions, guacamole salsa, and red salsa add the perfect balance of flavors to each bite. And to complement the delicious meal, nothing beats the crisp taste of a cold coke.
