    Flautas with Chipotle sauce
    Isabel E.

Stopped at El Taquito for breakfast during our move from WA to TX, and it was such a great choice. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the whole place had that warm, local-favorite vibe. We ordered the flautas with chipotle sauce and the chilaquiles with half red and half green sauce. The chilaquiles were absolutely amazing. We added a runny egg since we couldn't do chicken, and it gave the dish extra flavor and a good boost of protein. The flautas (which I'd honestly describe more as taquitos dorados) were crunchy and tasty. We liked the chipotle sauce that came with them, but we actually loved dipping them into the chilaquile sauce even more. Overall, it was a great spot to grab breakfast before hitting the road again for many more hours. Highly recommend!

We landed in El Paso came here for lunch. It's in a strip mall with plenty of parking. We were greeted quickly and told to pick our table. Our server was very pleasant, took our order, and our food came pretty quickly. The 2 whom order flautas were happy with their orders. I ordered the fajitas, but the meat was too salty, so I ended up eating more carbs than I wanted to so that I could eat the meat. The day special seems to be a good deal. I thought 1/2 an order wouldn't be enough, but that's still 3 flautas. My friend was very impressed w/the soup which hit the spot. The regular flautas were pretty plain but in a good way. When you're ready to pay, go to the cashier and tell them what your table number is,. In the end, excellent service, good food, and we'd return.

Best homemade food in the area! I promise you will not regret it

Amazing service, and ambiance . Food is fresh with amazing flavor! A must try! Amazing breakfasts and don't miss out on this place.

Heard this place was good. I get there and I am seated immediately. The waiter brought drinks quickly and took my order. The breaded steak sounded good. I ordered the Milanesa with a side of rice. The serving was large. Everything looked fresh. I was so full. Everything on that plate was excellent. Good flavor. The place was clean and the people were nice. I only had one day but if I was in town future, I would eat here again. I recommend.

Yummy food at a great price. Easy parking, got sat right away. I got the regular flauta plate with rice & beans. Everything was so delicious. Service was fast & friendly. Would recommend to anyone. Ambiance is cute inside

Great, friendly and quick service. The meat in the Barbacoa tacos was mushy. Still edible but would not order again. The Santa Fe chicken tacos were a lot better. Rice, beans and salsa were all tasty.

Totally surprise myself by picking this for the team! We wanted breakfast but not my team's choice so I'm happy this one turned out great! This is a great find and I would definitely recommend going here! First time I've had a Torta and I liked it alot! That will be my option to try at future restaurants. The Guacamole was by one of the best I tasted! Chips were freshly made and were delivered to the table hot! The server and staff were amazing and always asking if we needed anything. Lots of memorabilia on the walls and worth checking out.

Loved this place. Old school Mexican food. Best guacamole. Homemade. Our entrees were very good. Rice was fluffy. Salsa spot on.

Good food, came in during lunch but my order was taken quickly. The posted 3 Flatuas deal for check-in is not valid here, dissapointing. The waitress said it had been 3 years since they honored that deal.

Came here for lunch and it was pretty busy. I got the steak tacos and they were pretty good. Could use a little more flavor but other than that, the texture was great. Rice, cabbage, and beans were pretty typical.

Service was great! It was freezing cold in there so I had a bowl of soup with my meal to warm me up. It was a really light broth. Not too much flavor but it was good. I couldn't decide on what Flautas I wanted so I got a combo of the two popular versions. The one that isn't white was delicious. The white one is straight sour cream. It was good. The beans were delicious. I would return but the flautas weren't special but it was good food.

Do not judge this book by its cover. The food is quick, homemade, and delicious. I don't honestly think I've ever had a bad bite here.

It was very heavy and very cheesy. There was something super heavy about that I cant describe. The staff was super nice and got us our food and drinks and refilled our salsa n chips often. My friend had the mole item and felt it was way too sweet/cocoa on it. Overall I would've wanted to try the other machaca items and other things. The vibe is very homely and chill, bit of a hole in the wall atmosphere.

I had just flown in from the airport, and my brother arranged it as a special family gathering. Everything started normally: we were seated, ordered our food, received our drinks, and enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa. Then my sister (who is LGBTQ+) stepped away to use the restroom. When she returned and sat down, a manager approached our table and loudly told her--in front of other diners--that "MEN cannot use the female restroom." My sister was mortified and humiliated by the public confrontation. The manager's tone and assumption were shocking and clearly discriminatory. We immediately got up and left without eating. This wasn't about enforcing any legitimate policy; it was rude, insensitive, and targeted. My adult sister is perfectly capable of reading the restroom signs herself--no one needed to police or shame her in such a way. The incident felt rooted in homophobia and transphobia from management. We will never return to this place, and we will actively discourage others--especially LGBTQ+ individuals and allies--from patronizing it. What should have been a joyful family milestone was ruined by bigotry. Avoid this establishment if you value respect and inclusivity.

While the food was never the primary…read morereason I returned, the excellent margaritas and outstanding service kept me coming back for nearly two decades. Unfortunately, that loyalty came to an end after a recent experience that was both disappointing and unacceptable. My family and I chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Every guest paid separately, and there were no issues during the evening itself. However, as the event concluded, multiple attendees, including family members and in-laws, overheard servers making derogatory comments about our party. Among the remarks were that we were "ungrateful," "cheap," and "broke," along with other inappropriate comments that no customer should ever have to hear. I brought the matter to the attention of ownership, hoping for a meaningful resolution. While I was told the employees had been reprimanded, the proposed remedy was a $25 gift card. After nearly 18 years of patronage, the response felt dismissive and only added insult to injury. What disappoints me most is not simply the behavior of the staff, but the lack of accountability and concern shown afterward. This was a place I once considered a reliable and welcoming destination for family gatherings and celebrations. Sadly, that trust has been lost. As a result, I will no longer be returning or recommending this establishment to friends, family, or colleagues. Respect for customers should be a fundamental part of any hospitality business, and in this case, that standard was not met.

I bumped it up to four stars for the super friendly service and the excellent aguas frescas. We got there late, about an hour before closing and they were literally trying to get rid of the aguas for free. I guess they have to dump it if they don't use it all. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Portion sizes are good. The taco platter comes with six tacos! I had the flautas Chinampa which came with four beef flautas, beans, rice, and salad. I forgot, the taco platter even came with a baked potato. Prices were excellent. We had gone to McDonald's in the morning and spent more. They also cave us frijoles charros for free. Not sure if this was standard or if they were also trying to get rid of it. I would return for the service and the convenience, but if you're looking for life changing Mexican cuisine, it's not here.
