My wife and kids took me here for my 26th birthday... I think it was my 26th... I stopped counting... so that's kinda like stop aging... I say as my kids says I look 66... seriously fuck them kids.. but you know who doesn't make me feel old and decrepit... the staff at Nue was awesome and super friendly... even carding me cause I look super young... I don't remember if they carded me... but that's probably because my memory is going... They do change their menu seasonally and when my wife had booked the reservation we were baking on the crispy Peking Duck but they just changed their menu the week of my birthday and the Peking Duck was gone and replaced with fried fish. My kids and I don't really fish but that shit was off the hook awesome. Both my kids were grabbing the fish and wrapping it in lettuce... so fish and veggies...

All green lights. Service was great. Smoky and soft and tender octopus. Seafood fried rolls in lettuce wraps were wonderful but messy. For entrees, everyone needs to try the coconut curry risotto. The creamy rice seems like there's a gallon of cream. So full of flavor, this was the hands down winner. Short rib pappardelle is good and solid but you can get similar at other good restaurants. My drink was excellent as well. There is a mandatory 20% fee added for service that is split amongst the service staff. Anything above goes to the server. This was well explained when paying. Bar area looks inviting inside. Bathrooms had air dryers (boo)

Came here last month on a Friday night for dinner--we opted for bar seating. The place was popping--energetic vibes, and overall cute decor! After looking over the menu, it seems like this is more of a Viet-fusion type of place. Started off with the Chili Oil Wontons, Seafood Chả Giò and Crispy Brussel Sprouts--the cha gio had too much taro in them and weren't as crispy as I preferred, wontons were delicious, and Brussel sprouts were interesting, mixed with persimmon and lychee. For entrees, the Bún Cá Nướng and Bò Kho Pappardelle were both huge portions and well flavored dishes! Loved sitting at the bar because we got to see a lot of their beautiful drink creations--tried the Gold Dragon, Water Horse and Lychee Sunset Fizz. Our bartender Jaden was awesome--made great cocktails, was friendly and attentive! Will definitely be back to try more!

Very lovely place. Definitely elegant. Everything in NUE was so tasteful. The vibes, decor, and layout were all aesthetically pleasing and comforting. The servers were accommodating and give way for you to enjoy your food. And the food was surprisingly fairly price and delicious. They take Viet staples and elevate them and I'm happy with what we had. Oh also whoever designed their menus deserve some praise. They were high quality and the drinks were both meticulously described and pictured. Can't wait to go back and try them again. Highly recommended!

NUE Elegantly Vietnamese is quite literally one of the most unique dining experiences I've ever had at a Vietnamese restaurant. Everything from start to finish was exceptional. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, perfectly reflecting the elegance and creativity of the dishes on the menu. The service was stellar attentive without being overbearing and the staff provided fantastic recommendations that truly enhanced the experience. We visited during Winter Restaurant Week and enjoyed a four-course menu. I started with the green papaya Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced. Next was the Seafood Cha Giò, and it was so delicious I immediately wished I had more. For my main course, I ordered the Bò Kho Pappardelle, which was an ideal portion and featured a tender, flavorful braised short rib ragu. My friend chose the coconut curry risotto with scallops, and she absolutely loved her dish as well. We also ordered cocktails, and they were just as impressive as the food not only delicious but beautifully presented. I had the 3 Steps Colada, while my friend ordered the Nurture, and both drinks added to the overall experience. The plating alone deserves recognition every dish was so visually stunning it almost felt wrong to dig in... almost. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I absolutely would. This is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable and elevated dining experience.

We had a fantastic dining experience at NUE. Our server, Sam P, knows the menu inside and out and made some great recommendations. Most impressive, he knows which dishes are gluten-free and which are Celiac safe. We shared a 3lb. Large fluke, crispy whole fried, along with crispy Brussels sprouts and a Caesar salad. The crispy chicken and coconut rice satisfied one of our diner's GF requirement. Service was top notch.

Tried brunch at Nue Elegantly Vietnamese and had such a lovely experience! I ordered the Crispy Xôi Gà, and it was honestly so good. The rice was super flavorful and satisfying, and the chicken was moist and well-seasoned. Really glad I gave this dish a try--it definitely stood out. Ambience: Beautifully decorated space with a calm, peaceful vibe. It felt relaxed and thoughtfully designed. Service: Our server was very friendly and welcoming, knew the menu well, and was happy to make recommendations and walk us through options, which I really appreciated. Overall, a great brunch spot and I'd happily come back again!

Lunar New Year menu: "Longevity" Noodles with Salt & Pepper King Prawns

Nue never misses a chance to keep things interesting, and their Lunar New Year menu felt like unwrapping a very delicious present. First up, the Crispy Silk Roll -- basically the overachiever of appetizers. Chicken farce wrapped with yuba, mushroom, and bamboo, brightened with shaved fennel, mint, and a punch of nước mắm. The mushroom added that earthy depth that made the chicken feel extra luxe. Crispy, fresh, herbaceous -- the kind of starter that makes you sit up straighter. Then came the pho -- and not just any pho. Les' Pho. The broth arrives in a French press (yes, like your morning coffee), and they pour it tableside like a savory ceremony. Wagyu bathing in a rich oxtail broth that's deep, complex, and basically a warm hug for your entire soul. It's dramatic. It's soothing. It's main-character energy in soup form. The Crackling Berkshire Kan Kan pork chop? A textural masterpiece. Fried pork skin for crunch, beautifully grilled char for that smoky edge, and somehow the meat stays impossibly juicy. Paired with mustard greens, a jammy egg, and thit kho jus, it's savory, rich, and deeply satisfying without feeling heavy. A forever favorite on the regular menu -- the Crispy Whole Fish -- is where things get hands-on (in the best way). We went big with the 3lb wild-caught fluke, deboned and fried to golden perfection. It comes with herbs, vermicelli noodles, lettuce wraps, and a bright pineapple nước chấm that ties it all together. The move? Load up a lettuce leaf with noodles, flaky fish, herbs, drizzle of sauce -- then wrap and devour. It's messy, interactive, and wildly fun. Don't be shy. This is a "lean in and commit" situation. And dessert -- Bánh Chuối Foster (vg) -- sealed the deal. Banana with coconut dark rum caramel, vanilla gelato, and feuilletine on the bottom for that delicate crunch. Soft inside, slightly crisp outside, sweet and salty but never cloying. Subtle coconut notes, creamy gelato, and just enough texture to keep every bite interesting. Seasonal menu? Yes. Seasonal obsession? Also yes.

I came to NUE to celebrate an anniversary with my fiancé and the service and food were incredible! This was my second time here and it was just a s good as the last. I feel like most fancier restaurants in the area serve western food, so I'm glad that there's a high end Asian option in the area. The servers were so attentive and made sure to explain every dish we were served. The food was so delicious as always-my favorite was the risotto with scallops. They also made us feel so special on our anniversary and surprised us with a candle on the dessert we ordered!

Cute vibe, happy hour, great service, will be back! Happy Hour states only in bar area, which is cute! There is also a "lounge" area that still honors happy hour prices with green couches and elevated ambiance! Chicken wings: 4/5 crispy and nice flavoring. Brussel sprouts: 5/5 sweet and savory with lychee! I can describe the combination of flavors here but must try! Crispy Whole Fish: 10/5!! Perfectly flaky and seasoned! I had the medium which says served 2, definitely probably 3! Especially if you have starters! They validate 2 hour free parking in the garage underneath!

Visited NUE to celebrate Lunar New Year with a friend and WOW... what a fantastic choice that turned out to be. First off, the restaurant itself is beautiful. Not in an over-the-top, trying-too-hard way -- just effortlessly stylish, warm, and inviting. You walk in and immediately feel like you're about to have a great night. Cocktails were a major highlight. These were the kind of drinks where you take a sip and instantly look at your friend like "okay... this is serious." The Water Horse and the Nurture were both outstanding -- perfectly balanced and dangerously easy to keep ordering. We went a little wild with appetizers (zero regrets). The Scallop Banh Beo was one of those perfect bites that makes you pause for a second. The Pho Pate chicken liver mousse with crullers? Ridiculously good. Rich, smooth, completely indulgent. And the grilled oysters with ranch vinaigrette absolutely stole the show. Packed with flavor and easily one of those dishes you end up talking about long after dinner. For entrées we shared the Imperial Thit Kaho Berkshire pork chop and the Imperial Wagyu Zabuton, and honestly, both were phenomenal. The pork chop was so good my friend basically had a moment, and the Wagyu was just flawless. Service was spot-on -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without hovering or feeling rehearsed. Exactly how hospitality should feel. Bottom line: NUE is an absolute winner. Amazing food, incredible drinks, gorgeous space. Already planning a return visit.

tl;dr: A delightful take on Vietnamese classics with a beautifully adorned interior. I've been wanting to go to NUE for the longest time after seeing their various accolades in local magazines. I recently stopped by during the Falls Church Restaurant Week where I tried their prix fixe menu. I started by trying two of their nonalcoholic drinks-- the Sparkling Hibiscus and the Basil Mint Limeade. The hibiscus drink had beautiful layers and was perfectly sweet. The limeade was so refreshing as well. For the appetizers, I ordered chili oil wontons which come with shrimp and pork. Not too spicy nor too oily. As part of the prix fixe menu, I also was served the hamachi crudo, which was light and refreshing. The seafood cha gio were SO good. They give you all of the accoutrements to make them into wraps too, such as fresh herbs (cilantro, mint) and lettuce. It was awesome that they provided wet napkins to clean yourself before the entree. I ordered the bo kho pappardelle and the bo kho seasoning really shined. It was such a cool take on the classic Vietnamese braised beef. I also got the crispy xoi ga, which is crispy chicken over rice, and it came with delicious veggies that paired perfectly with the marinade on the chicken. Great textures and flavor all around. Vibe: Stunning murals and aesthetics make the restaurant feel fun and inviting. It was on the louder side during the dinner rush. Parking: Park in the nearby parking garage and use the provided validation code for up to two free hours.

The pho pâté was insane. It's this super smooth, rich chicken liver spread served with warm Chinese bread and it was honestly addicting. So savory and creamy, and the bread was perfect for scooping. We kept saying "last bite" and then kept going. The crispy whole fish was such a fun dish. It came with fresh vegetables and rice noodles, and you build your own wraps. The fish was perfectly crunchy on the outside but still tender inside, and when you wrapped it with the herbs and noodles it was the perfect balance of crispy, fresh, and light. The seafood cha gio had that loud crunch when you bite into it and was packed with flavor without being greasy. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully done. Definitely one of our new favorite Vietnamese spots in the area. We'll be back for sure. We were so hungry that I forgot to snap a pic of the fish!!

Each order comes as one large deboned piece of meat, which is then cut into bite-sized pieces--easy to eat by hand or with a fork. They're available in a variety of flavors. I ordered them dry and got several sauces on the side to mix things up. Highly recommend. Seating - The restaurant has a surprising amount of seating. There's just as much indoor seating as there is outdoor, and possibly even more inside thanks to the bar and high-top tables. It's a great spot to start your night, end your night, or enjoy happy hour with friends after work. Service - For a bar, I thought the service was really good. Multiple waiters checked in on us, and we never had to wait for water or anything else. The recommendations they gave were great, and they stayed attentive throughout the night--even though it was moderately busy when we went. Pro tip: Be prepared to sit inside if you're hoping for a meaningful conversation--the street noise outside is quite loud. Between the main thoroughfare and the neighboring restaurants in the same alcove, it can get pretty noisy. If you value good conversation, you'll definitely want to opt for indoor seating. Pro tip: There isn't much parking in the area, so give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes when planning your visit.

We're still paying customers, ready to order food and drinks. Denying service like that--especially with empty tables in plain sight--feels unnecessary and rigid. I even asked twice, hoping for a little flexibility, but the answer didn't change. I work in the service industry, and this is exactly the kind of situation where you make an exception or use some common sense. Instead, it felt like policy over hospitality. We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. Delicious Indian restaurant - great happy hour and brunch spot!…read more The happy hour from 4pm-7pm Monday-Fri is an amazing deal. I ordered 2 dishes and a cocktail for under $20! I requested for the Paneer Tikka Flatbread (not on the menu)- vegetarian version of the Chicken Paneer Tikka Flatbread. The naan pizza was delicious, it was stuffed with cubes of paneer with a side of Tikki Masala dipping sauce. Highly recommend it! You can get the Paneer Pizza next door too! The Paneer Tacos were filling and fun to try, but large chunky blocks of paneer. While I enjoyed the spicy mayo sauce, I wish the paneer was cut up into cubes. It just felt a bit heavy with the paneer. The Spinach Artichoke Fritters (4) were tasty. The Mango Mojito and the Mumbai Mule cocktail weren't that good, but it honestly it's hard to complain when it's only $6/drink. The unlimited weekend brunch at $38 is a great deal and well worth it! You can choose from over a dozen Indian fusion dishe - as a bonus mango lassi, chai, and soft drinks are included! You can order 2 dishes/person at a time and the servers hastily swing by to clear your plates and place your next order! Between the 3 of us, we ordered almost conquered the full brunch menu and had a delightful brunch feast! The food had a spicy kick, but not overpowering and wasn't greasy. The portions range from small, bite-size apps to full, large entree size. There's a lot of vegetarian dishes on the menu with a few non-veg as well. There's a good balance between traditional Indian dishes and Western fusion with a hint of American flavors/presentation. My favorite stand-outs: - Aam Chat Papri with crispy Papri pita like chips with mango, chick peas, and potatoes smothered in yogurt and chutney, and topped with spicy garam masala mix - Chana Bhatura with chick pea curry and fluffy, bubbly fried bread. Large portion. - Spinach and Artichoke Fritters - Crispy bite-size balls filled with creamy spinach artichoke dip, 4 come in an order and perfect for sharing! - Aloo Bravas - Crispy, diced potatoes very reminiscent of the Spanish Patatas Bravas with aioli sauce and mild masala spicy kick - Butter Chicken - My friend enjoyed it, solid full entree size. I didn't order or try it in, but it looked pretty tasty and could easily why she made a happy empty plate! - Nutella Bread Pakora - Tastes like a bites-size Nutella fried donut! So good we ordered another one! - Helluva Hallawa Trio - I enjoyed sampling the 3 types of Hallawa, ranging in savory (carrot) to more sweet and milky (my favorite). - Mango Lassi - The sweetness of the mango lassi helped to balance out and absorb the spiciness of the food. - Masala Chai - Great ending to a meal, perfectG caffeine pick me up! Paired well with the Nutella bread Pakora. The other dishes on the menu were fun to try, but would probably skip and save room for my faves: - Aloo Sabzi and Katchuri - The dense hollow shell katchuri (similar to a round empanada) made of dhal lentil smothered in Aloo potato curry sabzi was very filling and dense. After a couple of bites, I threw in the towel. - Egg Burgi and Paratha - The masala spicy scrambled egg on paratha flatbread was kind of bland and a very small portion. - Mango Mimosa - While the mimosas were only $4, it was quite tangy and didn't pair well with the meal. I wish fresh mango juice was used instead of mango flavored juice (tastes like Izzy). The lunch buffet (Mon - Fri 12pm - 2:30pm for $23 wasn't the best experience. Admittedly, I came to the buffet at 1:30pm and the food was tepid and sadly overcooked under the heat lamp. The plates were very small and it was hard to fit a bunch of food. I went to the buffet at least 3 or 4 times to try out the dishes in search of the perfect bite, which I sadly couldn't. There were 5 main standard dishes with 3 vegetarian dishes (Dal Makhani, Aloo Ghobi, and Mehti Paneer) and 2 non-veg featuring both chicken dishes (Butter Chicken and Chicken Curry) and a galore of fried fritters/pakoras (spinach, onion, potato) with a couple of new rotating stations with Pani Puri (not much going on) and Spinach Tikki and Fish Pakora fried fritters. The Mehti Paneer was quite greasy with a coat of grease at the top and the paneer was pretty stiff. It wasn't tender. The Dal Makhani was bland. The potato aloo potatoes were brittle as they were sitting under the heat lamp too long. The best part about the meal was the fluffy naan, which was made-to-order. I enjoyed 2 rounds! Order the Masala Dosa crispy! When we got it the 1st time on the lunch special, it was a bit rubbery and soggy. After the server asked us a few times whether we liked it, my hubby relented and told him the honest answer. The server got the dosa re-made to go extra crispy, which did the trick! The masala potatoes paired well with the dosa. I wasn't a fan of the Sambar. Based on the glowing brunch and happy hour experience, I would come back to try the lunch buffet with an early start right when it opens!

Inside Tyson's mall. Introduced my dad to some new Indian dishes! The service was excellent! We…read morewere the only ones there and we stayed for a couple hours peacefully. I love that their naan is thin vs the typical thick kind at restaurants and stores. The lunch special had great choices on it including biryani and butter chicken! Thanks for that! I enjoyed the masala chai tea, nice that it came with tea cookies, just wished it was a larger glass. I figured I'd like masala lemonade, and hadn't seen it on a menu before, the server cautioned me and offered a sample before I order it. sorry to say ew yuck but we tried it respectfully. I was verrryy shocked by the taste, almost tasted ritualistic it was so oddly gross. Lol Best service I've ever had at an Indian restaurant and food was delicious per usual of Indian food. One of my top 5 foods. Go, enjoy!!!
