This past summer, I found myself visiting the Tysons Biergarten a few times. Once because I had a training session in the area and stopped in to wait out traffic, and on a couple of other occasions I made the painful trek down Route 7 because I have friends who work at one of the many nearby consulting firms, and they seem to like this place. However, you wanna know what Tysons Biergarten really is? It is an attempt to recapture the nostalgia and youth of being your 20's, all while trying to escape the soul crushing reality of being an office drone in the corporate dystopia that is Tyson's Corner. Tysons Biergarten tries so hard to remind people that even if you have to wear an off the rack drab suit, that you can still be cool and hip by hanging out and drinking beer on picnic tables, all while using plastic tokens to pay for drinks - since using cash or credit cards is so early 2000's. There are plenty of other reviews explaining how the token system works, but I am in the majority of reviewers who think it's dumb and gimmicky. The only thing more abhorrent, is the food ordering system...followed closely by the cuisine itself. There seems to be a belief that people only want to interact with kiosks and tablets for services, since talking to a live human to order food is a concept again...from the early 2000's. So walk into the kitchen and then place your order on the tablet hanging on the wall, and wait for the food. Look, I've been to Austria and Switzerland so I have a pretty good idea of what Bavarian cuisine associated with Biergarten's should taste like. The food here, is an insult and not an homage to true European biergartens. The TBG loaded fries are advertised as "fresh fries topped with two different cheese, onions, scallions, and special sauce." Well these fries might be "freshly" defrosted out of a freezer since they were extremely soggy and the special sauce tasted like diluted thousand island. The various sausage platters I've tried aren't terrible, but also nothing special. If you have to order some food, I'd recommend either the jalapeno cheddarwurst or the Kielbasa. Both of these sausages have a familiar flavor to most people, and can be dressed up with some mustard on the side. When I was last here in late August since it was god-awful hot in DC this summer, I was sitting there around 6pm strategically camped under an umbrella for shade, and I watched as legions of folks were walking around with their lanyards from places like CVENT, KPMG, and Booz Allen, just to name a few. I get it. Everyone wants the nice six-figure salary associated with being a H.P.C. (aka Highly Paid Consultant) but not the hours or "golden handcuffs" that accompany that line of work. So in that regard, I give Tysons Biergarten a star for at least TRYING to provide some sort of respite to people after logging a long day at the office. Another star also because after flagging down a bartender at either the upper or downstairs (I recommend the downstairs) bar, the beer selection is actually decent, and at Happy Hour, the prices are really good for Tysons. BTW - forget about parking anywhere near the place. Follow the signs to the parking garage about a 3-5 minute walk away; just remember to bring your parking ticket so it can get validated on your way out.

This place is not bad to have a drink and catch up with friends butttt if it's full or you want to watch a game, be prepared to hold your credit card and the bartender ignore you while time passes by. We went to watch a game and it wasn't too bad, nice summer night with not many people on a Thursday night. We sat at the table and the tv kept glitching so we had to move. We had order a beer and wings but the wings were more bones than meat. The fries were not bad and the beer was pretty good. Our second visit, the bar was full and you could barely order a drink. We went to the outside window thinking this would be easier but 10 minutes later no one helped us. This place needs better service as well as more bartenders. Music not bad at all except if you want to have a conversation, I suggest you don't sit next to dj booth as you will barely hear yourself.

This is a huge Biergarten! Not only do they have plenty of patio space, and I mean plenty, but there are three levels inside as well. The main floor is the bar area with several beers on tap. The kitchen is also on this floor and they serve Biergarten food, sausage! There are a few different types to choose from as well as sides to go with it. They also offer some apps for snacking. The top floor has seating and TVs. I didn't venture downstairs but plan to do so next time I come. When you walk in, you go to the host stand to purchase tokens for the beer or food. The tokens are all the same price, about $9, but the beer pours are dependent on how strong the beer is. If it is strong you get a quarter liter pour, and less strong beer get half liter pours. Aside from German beers, there are some others that you could choose. From the ones I've tried they were pretty good. Supposedly they have an extensive bottle beer selection but I did not see nor try it. They also have liquor if for some reason you or someone in your party do not want beer (but that would be just silly!). I really can't wait to come here in warmer weather and have a nice cold one!

We decided to try the Comedy show at this place wasn't funny at all, rude. Beer bar was good, we sat outside for a bit luckily they had warm propane lamps to keep us warm. I'll definitely will go back for beer and outside entertainment.

A first visit to this place on a Friday night with a close friend of mine. It was totally packed by 6:00 PM! Parking was a total mess right near the restaurant/bar area. Had to drive around to a nearby garage, which frickin' cost $13 after 2 hours or so! Ridiculous! Besides that, you had to purchase tokens, which were like $8+ each and that was the only way to get Beer or Food items... We each tried a couple of different Beers, which were pretty good. The food menu items were alright, nothing too special. Got some sliders with fries and a pretzel. Didn't really like the sliders too much, since it was a bit undercooked and chewy. The pretzel was cold and stale, so don't know what happened there. The view outside was nice and liked the beer. But overall, it was a so-so kind of experience.

This is definitely one of the cooler drinking spots in NOVA where you forget that you're surrounded by office buildings. My review is only for the beer since I haven't partaken in the food. There's a wide selection of German beers on tap and they're all the same price ($8). The payment system with chips is interesting, but apparently it's similar to what you do in Germany. You purchase your chips at the entrance (and have the option of adding tip if paying with credit card) and each color is for a different item and all cost $8. They also never expire so you can always come back with them! There's also mugs throughout the bar for cash tips as well. In addition to several tables with picnic style seating, there's also a few games such as Connect 4, cornhole, beer pong and big Jenga that you can play with your group. The parking situation isn't ideal since there's a shared lot with 20 or so spaces but there's also a garage about a 5 minute walk away with plentiful parking. Bring your ticket with you so it can be validated.

Very nice chill bar. lots of room where you don't feel like you're on top of people until you get to the basement and want to dance. Large screen around to watch sports and picnic tables outside to sit and have a large group of friends. Will deff be back

Tyson's Biergarten is located in a convenient location easily accessible by metro or car. I came on an afternoon with coworkers to grab a beer and some appetizers. Food wise, it's nothing spectacular but will quell your German beer food craving. I did appreciate that they have an efficient system where you order by iPad and get a text notification when your food is ready for pick up at the window. The beer is fine and they have a fair happy hour. There is PLENTY of outdoor seating, so this is an easy spot to meet with a large group as well.

Bier bier bier!!! This place is probably the best beer garden in the area. Great craft beers, food and value. They have a token system $8 gives you 8 tokens to order food or drinks. You've got the kitchen and a bar upstairs. Downstairs is a large seating area with a lot of local beers to choose from. There's music outside playing. Plenty of seating for all group sizes. We even saw some folks have food catered for a birthday party. Food here is awesome and you have a lot of variety. Don't expect anything healthy though. We had the pretzel, bratwurst, fries and wings. Pretzel here is a must try. Wings are fairly large. Expect a +20 min wait for your finger food. Parking here can be really tight. Try parking at the garage and you can get it validated up to 2 hours. This is a great place to go after work or at night when the weathers nice

First time at this Biergarten. A bit hidden away, but worth it. Located right off of Leesburg Pike, the parking lot right outside is very small, but they do validate for a parking garage right next door. This place runs off a "token system". Everything is $8 a token, which gets you food, beer, or wine. They have a pretty big menu from sharable appetizers, to sausage platters, which comes with two sides. Tried the Jalapeño sausage with pickles and fries. it was very tasty. Everyone who works here is very friendly and very willing to make sure you like your visit here. Beer is very good and HUGE glasses. Lots of outdoor seating, as well as inside. Be sure to stop by during the season!

This was our first time coming here and we had decided to come here on Halloween! They had a trick or treating event for both kids and adults. It was really cool to see everyone dressed in various costumes! For food and drinks they use a token system. Each token is $8 but there are three colors for different items. Red is for food, Blue is for beer/wine, and white is for their cocktails. Food was awesome and it had a feel of Germany inside!

What non-alcoholic beverage options do they offer? No mention on the menu or website.

    Softdrinjs & water

Can you bring in outside food?

No, no restaurant in any of the 13 states I've lived in has ever allowed outside food. Especially in VA which requires 40% food sales if they sell alcohol.

What time is their happy hour? And how much are their deals?

Last time I remember they had some specials all day Wednesday and after 5 but I forgot to take pics ?

It has become the definitive home base for several of my local groups, and for good reason. The "No Agenda - Just Coffee" Crowd Since October 2025, this has been the quarterly meeting point for a group I help organize (2 entire meetings so far!). We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. The beauty of the space is that it handles the "no structure, no rules" vibe perfectly. We show up, grab pastries, and just hang out. It's a low-key break from the grind, and the staff handles the morning rush with impressive efficiency. The Sunday Morning Tactical Post-Game Every Sunday at 6:30am, Northside serves as the rally point for our F3 The Capital workout group. We split up--ruckers head one way, runners another--and we all converge back at the shop by 7:30am. There is nothing quite like hitting the patio after a solid session for coffee, tea, and a high-quality breakfast. The Menu and My Personal "Hack" I've been significantly more health-conscious this year, so I generally keep the order lean. My go-to is a standard drip or an Americano with exactly one pump of vanilla. If you are looking for a meal, the avocado toast and poached egg sandwiches are objectively excellent. However, if you want the best thing on the menu, order the cheddar chive scone and ask them to heat it in the oven. It is a game-changer. The Vibe It has a genuine neighborhood feel. You'll see a broad spectrum of people--from tech folks on laptops to workout groups and families. It even transitions into a great bar scene in the evenings. It's consistent, high-quality, and remains my top recommendation in Falls Church.

The tuna melt is satisfying for pescatarians. For a place branding itself as a cafe and wine bar, the drinks menu leaves a lot to be desired. Seasonal dragonfruit cocktail screams spring but could do with more Reposado.

The noodles were al dente. -Cabernet Burger: the patty was very flavorful and juicy. Would recommend this. It came with fries. -Atlantic Salmon: The salmon was topped with a tomato sauce, personally I would have prefer no tomato sauce as it really overpowers the salmon flavor. Under the salmon was some lettuce. -Rainbow trout: this does not come with a sauce on top like the salmon and so is able to maintain a bit of crisp to the skin. I asked her a bit about the menu and I ordered this drink that was kinda like a whiskey sour but I'm blanking on the name. The interior of Verre was nice. It looked like a wine bar, very quiet wasn't too loud despite me going around dinner time. Def a great place for a girls night or date.

She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and struck that perfect balance of checking in without hovering. Great service can elevate a meal, and Maria did exactly that. The food was excellent. The paella was delicious, the patatas bravas were flavorful, and both the pork belly and bacon-wrapped dates were standouts. The sangria was also fantastic and paired perfectly with the meal. Now, I've had Spanish food in places where it's a little more authentic and refined, so this wasn't necessarily the best Spanish food I've ever had. But considering we're in Virginia, Barcelona absolutely exceeded expectations. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, the patio setting, and especially the exceptional service combined to create a five-star experience. If you're in Reston and looking for a memorable dinner, Barcelona should be at the top of your list. Ask for Maria if you can she is fantastic.

Fried perfectly & the filling was so tasty, pork ribs was my absolutel favorite with a rich Smokey taste! These were super tender as well. Large Tapas:I got the seafood paella which reminded me a lot of Spain. Seasoned well & a wide variety of seafood with shrimp, clams, mussel, and octopus. This was super filling. Service was incredible & super friendly! Recommend an online reservation as this location does get packed during weekend dinner.

A small slice of perfect…read more I hesitate to write this review, because I selfishly wish to keep this gem to myself - but that would be unfair to the business, so here we go. Located just off the bustle of King St., Brut sits unassumingly among the Old Town townhomes. You could easily walk past, and not notice it at all. But, if you've dialed in Brut as your destination, be prepared to step in to an oenophile's wet dream. The establishment is both a bottle shop and a wine bar. Every bottle in the joint is carefully curated. There is no junk...no fluff...no quid to subsidize quo...all excellence, from any country or region your heart may desire. Do your Christmas shopping here, for sure. That shopping is going to make you thirsty, so pony up to the small but well appointed bar. Its no easy thing to find a bar with a good "wine by the glass" list, but Brut manages that task with ease. From your sauvignon blancs, through the pinots, to full bodied reds...take a flight of fancy, and walk home well fortified. Since the bar is small, and seats are at a premium, the owner Dustin does a masterful job of weeding out the Riff-raff. Trust me when I say that watching it is far better than TV. I cannot recommend this cool little spot more highly. Maybe I'll see ya there sometime!

Giving 4 stars because the selection was good, staff was knowledgeable, and the actual wine and…read morecheese we had was quite nice. It's a little pricey relative to places like Verre wine bar in Courthouse or area Vineyards. I noticed they had the Valravn cab sauv and it was A $20 glass but I have seen it for several dollars less at Verre and elsewhere. However, these were really large pours. So it may be their philosophy to have someone order/pay once and get a lot then having to constantly go back for more. Which is great if you value simplicity but less so if you want variety. I also didn't see flight options, though maybe I missed them. All in all it came out to $83 for 2 glasses of red wine and a cheese plate with 5 cheeses. However they brought bread refills - not sure if it's just that the plate was priced for unlimited bread or if we were being charged for more bread each time and that is what increased the price. Service was a little lax. Again not a bad thing, depends on your preference. When we got their attention they were on it. It resulted in being completely unrushed and unpressured which I appreciate. But my friend was starving and under those conditions we would have liked someone to come take our food order sooner. Vibe is chill. I wouldn't say it's as sexy as others do. When we arrived the lights were fairly bright and then they turned them down and started putting out candles while we were there so that may have been it. That was around 7 or 8 if you are gaming this out for a date. We were the 6pm crowd so maybe they were intentionally going for a less sexy vibe for the benefit of the after work drinks with friends types. I don't recall music. Note also they seem to really focus on imported wines more so than local. I don't thibk there was any local VA wine on the menu. All in all, if you need a wine place in the area then it is totally worth stopping by, especially if you like the specific approach described above. Is it a wine bar I would go out of my way for given that there are a bunch in different neighborhoods around DC? Probably not unless I was specifically looking for this kind of imported wine menu or large pours. This is a no if you are specifically looking for flights or to otherwise try a bunch of different wines.
