UBER EATS DELIVERY REVIEW: I placed an order tonight, via the Uber Eats app, for this El Torito restaurant. The app didn't allow me to make an adjustment on one ingredient. So, I called the restaurant to make my request. The female who answered tonight was very professional and helpful. She quickly made the adjustment for my order. When the order arrived, which consisted of 2 entrees, it arrived fresh and delicious. My request was done correctly and they even gave me a small bag of chips and a small salsa, which was unexpected with my delivery order. So disappointed! We go to El Torito for Mother's Day Brunch every year, and we understand that it's a very busy day and by no means expect a 'normal" experience. We do what we can on our side, such as book a reservation in advance, show up on time, have our complete party present, etc. Today was a terrible experience. As we checked in for our 11am reservation we were told the wait would be 20-30 minutes. We patiently found a place to stand, grateful for the canopy since it was already over 90 degrees outside. As we waited, we saw several parties enter the restaurant though they appeared to arrive after us. (Maybe they had been waiting elsewhere?) After 45 min had passed, I approached to ask how many parties were ahead of us. Another family was asking also, and stated they had also been waiting since 11:00. The gentleman told them there were 5 groups ahead of them. He refused to answer their question of how that could be, since they were given the same number 20 minutes previously, he just kept repeating "there are 5 groups ahead of you." When it was my turn, I provided my name and he said "there are 5 groups ahead of you"! A manager came out and said they were doing their best to accommodate everyone and it was hard because they had alot of walk-ins! How are you going to take walk-ins before customers that were prepared enough to make a reservation 2 weeks in advance? We left and went somewhere else. It was 26 more minutes before we received a text saying our table was ready. We will make alternate plans next year. read more

It's sad when the best thing at the restaurant is the Pepsi and the $10 coconut margarita. The food was the most bland tasteless Mexican food we've ever had. The sauces have an odd taste. Mahi-mahi tacos were over cooked and dry and looks like they were made a little leftover pieces after you cooked a nice piece of fish queso dip is thin and runny and it says it has sausage in it and there's so little sprinkles on top you could've missed if you weren't looking. Last but not least the restaurant was virtually empty and it was leftover dishes of food and most of the tables and it had to be cleared before we can even be seated So this will be the last time we ever go to this location expensive meal and not worth the money at all go next-door to Medrano's it is a thousand times better. read more

We made a reservation for Mother's Day dinner. When we arrived, we were told they didn't have a reservation (I showed them the email from Opentable - the reservation had been confirmed.) The woman at the front was incredibly rude and said there was nothing they could do about it. 5pm on Mother's Day with my 4 kids and they didn't care that I was literally showing them my reservation. She then told my husband that they don't have any way to see the reservations made on open table (but then told me a different story.) WHY have your reservation system on open table if it's not valid? TERRIBLE customer service. read more

We called over the phone to make a reservation they informed us to come in and sign our names to be seated 2 hours after because of mother's day. We had a party of 8 with 2 kids and 2 elderly disabled grandparents! We waited 4 hours the entire people that walked in before and after us got seated except us! After 4 hours plus they offered a booth the fits barely 6 healthy people and said that's the only table they can offer us even though they had an empty table right next to the booth they offered us! I explained that I have 2 disabled old people they can not be seated in a booth like that! There is no way! We left and they never were able to accommodate with a table to fit all of us! This post is from a week ago, I didn't want to forget to post, the great Customer Service by Renee. She was amazing, she was super friendly, funny and attentive to our needs. I use to come here long time ago but stopped due to the food and service wasnt the same. However, I'm glad I checked it out again, the food was pretty decent. The only thing I would say about the fajita tacos, it was saucy and greasy, I wasn't able to eat the taco with out it breaking instantly. We also had the fries, they were fresh I believe the name was "Caliente fries w/dipping sauce." I tried a margarita which was very sweet, so I tried a cranberry and vodka. The bartender was a guy this time, which been there for years (he is definitely no GLORIA LOL, SHE IS THE BOMB). The bartender this day was very off on the drinks. My family and I went to Sunday brunch and it was great. They added so many more options lately - my daughter loved the chocolate fountain. I'll start by saying this "was" me and my wifes favorote restaurant in the antelope valley. We were seated for over a hour waited for an appetizer and two drinks that couldn't seem to make its way to our table. When the food finally arrived, the waiter asked if we wanted a to go box since we had been waiting for over an hour. This didn't sit well with my wife or myself. If we wanted to eat at home, she would have cooked herself. The food came cold, and rushed manager did try and apologize, but it was far too late by this time. Throughout the meal I continued to look pass my friend at a very distinguished woman who sat just behind her.
