I should definitely have stuck to my guns and NEVER USED this company AGAIN after my last carpet cleaning experience, but I foolishly relented. They claim all their cleaning products are pet safe, BUT immediately after my cat spent several hours walking around and lying on the wet carpet following their cleaning, he had to be rushed to the vet because he lost use of his rear legs and acted like he'd had a stroke for 24+ hours. This is a VERY HEALTHY CAT that suddenly was severly ill! The vet confirmed it was NOT a stroke, but from some unknown cause (like toxic cleaning chemicals perhaps?!!) It was just too coincidental for me to believe for one minute their products didn't make my cat sick. Now I truly will NEVER use them again! read more

I have used this company for years, and they are professional, reasonably priced and responsive. They do a great job getting dog pee stains out especially. But why I wanted to review them now is because recently I spilled something on a small upholstered bench, a cleaning fluid for wood, and it badly stained it. I tried to get it out but could not. They came to do their annual carpet cleaning and offered to try to get out the stain for free. And they did! That's real service right there; they reward your loyalty. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I called on a Saturday to get a free estimate to get my shower tile and grout cleaned. They set up an appointment for Monday at 1:30pm. They called me Monday morning to tell me the technician is running late and asked if he could stop by my house at 3pm. I agreed. They called me at 2:08pm to see if the technician could come in 10 minutes. I wasn't home to pick up the phone at that time since we had moved our appointment to 3pm. I begin waiting at home at 2:50pm for the technician to arrive and they text me that he stopped by 20 minutes ago but then left because no one was home. Why would they schedule an appointment at 3pm, show up at 2:20pm and then text me "I had given you a call but no one answered that's why my technician decided to go see if anyone would get there. I can go ahead and reschedule your appointment if you would like." Not ONCE did they apologize for their mistake. How is this my fault that they scheduled an appointment with me for 3pm, I am waiting for them at the exact appointment time, but they decided to show up 40 minutes earlier and now expect me to inconvenience myself AGAIN to reschedule with them? HORRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT USE THEM! They are unreliable and unprofessional! read more

To be honest, I'm kind of shocked. Reuben Cruz and his partner (I didn't get his name) came to remove 20+ year old shower doors and walls, and to clean the tile up. We're getting new glass shower enclosure and wanted to get the old shower as clean as possible. To be honest, I didn't think it was possible to make it look brand new. Not only was the tile grout redone and sealed, but they totally cleaned the fixtures as well. We didn't ask for the tub to be done, but they weren't happy with the contrast of a clean shower and not so clean tub, so they cleaned and polished the tile and grout around the tub and polished the fixtures there too. I left them to do their work and returned to total amazement. Seriously, everything looks new. They cleaned up well and we're going to have them back to clean the kids shower. I put some pictures here, but I don't think they do it justice. Sad to see some bad reviews here, mistakes happen, but the job done for us is so good, again, it's hard to believe. I would use them again for the next cleaning. Called El Toro Carpet Cleaners and got their $99 for any 3 rooms, hall and stairs. Cruz and Daniel arrived promptly as scheduled and did a wonderful job. They are both professional and thoughtful. Corners were protected with plastic barriers to avoid any damage and they even elevated all the bedside tables with foam so they can get to as much area as possible. The whole cleaning experience was painless and took about 1 hr 15 min. Blue booties were provided so you can walk around the carpet when it is still wet. There were a couple of stains that I thought it was permanent but they were able to get them off. I would use them again for next cleaning. read more

I'm very disappointed that after years of using El Toro carpet cleaning they will not stand by the current price on their website. I understand businesses, and particularly small businesses, are dealing with rising costs. However, the website has a coupon for a 3 seat sofa at $79 (expiring one month from today) and it would not be honored. Similar story with 2-seat. Extremely odd for a customer of multiple years who also asked them to do a multi thousand dollar tile cleaning to be met with zero flexibility on their current advertisement. When I called the main office I was met with bad excuses and a clear lack of any client appreciation. "Oh well your coach is too big". My coach is 90in by 38 x 34, which doesn't get more of a standard size. If you want to increase prices then I completely understand. But stand by what you advertise for (what were once) loyal customers. read more

When I called to make an appointment I asked for carpet and vinyl floor. I was told they do that so my appointment was set for today between 12-2. They were to call 30 minutes before for an arrival time. They did not do this. At 2:00 I called the office and was told that I would get a call back. Mark rang my doorbell saying he was confused about another location. As soon as he entered he said they do not do vinyl. On my 2nd call to the office I was told they do vinyl and after this, I would not ever recommend El Toro to anyone. I called for a quote to clean kitchen tile grout and dryer vent and Mark (owner) was here early the next day. We found the pricing more than fair and scheduled his service for the following week. Ruben arrived early (called first to confirm) and he did an excellent job. My 20 year old tile floors, island and countertops look brand new! He even went out of his way to fix broken grout without me asking as a courtesy. My dryer vent was very full but after he finished, the hose from the dryer to outside looked brand new as well. He clearly takes a lot of pride in doing a top notch job. The carpets were left with a pleasant smell, reminiscent of baby powder, but very light. And I feel that they look cleaner than when we moved in. George even gave a little advice about what to do after he left. Like, not to move our couch back onto the area rug until the rug is dry so the varnish on the couch legs doesn't stain the rug... We had not had our carpets cleaned in about 7 years and were starting to look shabby with numerous small stains and marks. My wife was looking to replace the carpet but had El Toro Carpet to come out to clean all the carpets in the house and all the tile floor grout. The carpets look fantastic and they were able to remove all but two very small spot marks (which I will probably have to trim off with scissors - as it is either some kind of permanent ink, paint or glue - two young children!). Now our carpets look just a year or two old - where they are actually over 20 years old! The light-colored tile grout is a huge improvement too - although it is nearly impossible to clean this back to new condition El Toro did a great job and it looks almost new in all but the most heavily trafficked areas. Not only did they do a great job cleaning they honored there multi-room special and charged us the same price for the tilework as they had done 7 years previously! The guys who did the job were professional, courteous, and moved the large furniture placing it all on foam blocks (we had moved the small stuff into the garage) so as to clean the maximum amount of carpet per room. They even cleaned one of our rugs for free and did a special treatment on another special wool rug explaining to my wife the correct way to dry it etc. They gave us booties to wear so we could walk on the damp carpet afterward and also placed corner protectors on the walls so the hoses did not scratch up the paint. Great job - we have used them at least 3 times now - and would thoroughly recommend them for their level of service and great pricing. read more

They showed up on time and, for the most part, did an okay job. We paid $250 for 5 rooms, stairs, a chair and a couch. The carpets look great although they missed some of the crevices where the stairs meet. Now for the downsides: We paid to have a chair and a couch cleaned. They looked clean and smelled fresh when they left. Within a few days the couch no longer smelled clean, and we also noticed area on the upper cushions on both the couch and the chair that were obviously missed. :( Make sure you have a magic eraser and touch up paint because our walls showed a lot of dark marks afterward and a few digs in the walls. After our experience I would recommend them for carpets, not so much for the furniture. read more

I had El Toro come and clean my clay tile floors and grout along with travertine floors. They came out wonderfully! Last time I had them cleaned about 3 1/2 years ago. All of the dirt and stains came out and the floors look much better than expected. I have used El Toro in the past. The person that cleaned my floors was named Ruben. I called El Toro Carpet, Tile and Upholstery to give me a quote after they left their flyer at my home. Richard came out and gave me a quote to clean and seal the granite countertops in my recently purchased condo -- the person who installed them never sealed them so lime deposits had set in to the granite. I also had them provide me a quote to clean my two bathroom tile floors and my tile and rock shower that had terrible lime deposits and the finish was dull due to previous occupants using harsh chemicals to clean the shower. The results were great! My granite countertops are smooth as glass and all the lime deposits are gone! The shower looks fabulous and they sealed it as well to help protect the finish. My floors were spotless with clean grout. I couldn't be happier! I have them coming back next week to clean the sawtillo floors in another condo I own ...
