As I mentioned in my last review representing Texas, I lived in Plano near Dallas when I was kid and used to go to Cicis Pizza, but I also went to Braum's Ice Cream in Plano just one mile south of the Cicis Pizza. I remember loving Braum's when I was a kid. On Saturday, January 30, 2021, my parents & I stopped at Braum's in Amarillo. I was helping move them across the country from Arizona to Pennsylvania. My parents & I had good memories of Braum's living in Texas in the past. The Amarillo location was no exception. The ice cream was as delicious as I remembered it. I probably got mint or chocolate chip cookie dough. My dad ordered the ice cream, so I didn't deal with the staff. But my dad didn't complain, which was a good sign. People from Oklahoma (where Braum's started) might argue Amarillo 'ought to be part of Oklahoma as the Texas panhandle is north of the Red River. But Texans will tell Oklahoma, "Don't Mess with Texas!"

The place can be busy...or not so much, but the employees always have time to stand around and chit chat...then they will make an effort to come over and assist a customer. Just last night they have us our food then they all walked away to continue their side conversations. No one available to ring up us up. I was super close to just walking away with free food until I finally flagged the girl who originally assisted us and asked her if this was free. She was so confused to think we had to pay or something.
