    Grilled my picanha steak!
    Christina G.

This is always my first stop for meat. My Brazilian friend came over one day for dinner and brought steaks to grill. They were fatty and delicious and I was immediately obsessed. Her husband kept saying they are so cheap! I needed to know where they came from and luckily my friend wasn't going to hold out on me, so she even volunteered to take me to get some! Fast forward a week and we walk into this grocery store. It is packed full of goodies! To the right they sell hot food which looked delicious, but I didn't try. The back is where the meat counter is. My friend speaks Spanish so she told the man exactly what I wanted. I told her to tell him that every time he sees me to give me exactly the same thing! The man did say that he understands english better than he speaks it, so don't let it deter you if you don't speak Spanish. Pointing and nodding works just as well. All their meats and prices are clearly labeled. I got $17 worth of picanha steak and it lasted me five days! It felt like an insane amount. It was super easy, I just put it on the grill for three minutes, flip for three minutes and I'm done. The guy was also having a special on T-bone steak. I can't remember if it was $3.99 or $4.99 a pound, but either way that's a great deal. I'll definitely take him up on it next time. My friend said the cuban bread is really good and it is only a dollar! I passed, because I'm trying to help my husband lose weight, not gain it! I will be back to continue to get my meat. This is definitely a hidden gem.

We ordered the food for our baby shower here, it was delicious. Everyone loved it. We got yellow rice, rice with black beans. Stewed meat and stewed chicken. Salad and sweet plantains.

In Florida, what do I do? Eat ethnic food of course, duuhh! As soon as I arrived I had the best pork I have had in a long time. My sister told me she purchased it from this little market. This is all I tasted from here, but my sister raves about all the goodness they offer. I guess I'm not going to get any morcilla (blood sausage) on this visit. I had some more fried pork a second time and wasn't disappointed. I was especially impressed, since I ate at a not so Puerto Rican restaurant and their pork was horrible in comparison. The meat was tender, flavorful and the pork skin was toasted to perfection. It tasted fresher the first time around, but I think that's due to the time of day we ordered. The place is nothing fancy, just a little market, but has all the culture of the island. Nom

Started with a dozen Massachusetts oysters served on a raised plate over a rack -- fresh, with a proper mignonette (not just cocktail sauce) and tiny precision spoons for dosing it. Small detail, made a real difference. The 7oz A5 Wagyu filet is the move if you're willing to spend. It practically dissolves. The waiter talked me into adding roasted Wagyu bone marrow on the side rather than on the steak itself -- no clear winner between eating it with or without, which tells you the steak alone was already doing the work. My friend's 8oz Prime disappeared just as fast at the table. Crispy Brussels sprouts and a smoked-carrot daily special both held their own as sides, though nothing was going to outshine the meat. Dessert: the Flaming Key Lime Pie, torched and tequila-flamed tableside. Genuine theater, and it actually tasted as good as it looked -- key lime custard, torched meringue, coconut gelato, passionfruit and white chocolate running through it. Bonus points for the manager who, when asked about their oddly perfect stay-cool teacups, admitted without hesitation they'd bought them off Amazon. No pretense, just good taste. Only real knock: it's loud. Great for a group, tough for a first date if conversation matters. Everything else here delive

The bar is almost always packed and energetic, which adds to the overall buzz. I also love their sushi. It is consistently fresh, beautifully presented, and honestly makes Meat Market one of the better sushi spots in Tampa. It is a great choice for a stylish night out with good food and plenty of energy.

I learned of this place ages ago when my dad was still around as he would shop here for certain items that most grocery stores don't carry like tripe, goat and oxtails. Now I recommend it to anyone that buys a dog from us, and they're always so grateful about the money they save and all the selections! They also sell produce and lots of other items on dry shelves. The owner Josh is very kind and has cleaned up the place a lot in the last year. All the staff is so pleasant and cheerful as well, you can tell they like working there. They cut all the chunks of meat and larger organs into small chunks for my pups so I don't have to. One of the employees Axel, even helped me out get bulk pricing by the case to save me more money - but first I'd have to get a deep freezer chest and figure out where the heck to keep it Very cute convenient little shop right off the interstate in Seminole Heights. Stop by and see the variety for yourself!!

It was pretty stinky in there, which is normal for a meat store. Just a heads up.

Manager Danny took the time to listen, treated us with respect, acknowledged our previous experience, and encouraged us to have a fresh start. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine commitment to customer service completely changed the direction of our evening into a wonderful experience! From the moment we were seated, the staff was warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely outstanding. It reminded us why we've enjoyed dining here over the years. We understand not every experience can be perfect, but great leadership can make all the difference. Danny demonstrated exactly what exceptional hospitality looks like, and because of him and the wonderful staff who took care of us, we left feeling appreciated as customers. Thank you, Danny, and the entire team, for restoring our confidence. We look forward to returning and hope this level of professionalism and customer care continues.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, loved the esthetics. The service was exceptional! My glass was always filled and I appreciated the attention. I wasn't too fond of the hot/cold salad bar. While the selection was large, the quality wasn't there. For instance, the meat in the fried rice was overcooked. The pork belly tasted as if it was sitting there for a while. Shrimp salad had good flavor but too many shells in the salad. Roasted garlic was still crunchy/not cooked through. Few of the signs were mislabeled. The bacon covered jalapeño poppers were labeled as brown sugar bacon. That completely took me by surprise because it was quite HOT! In conclusion, I was expecting the same level of attentiveness for the food selections as I received with the service.
