Good looking baristas AND good tasting coffee. I approve. The Lincoln hotel is a tad too twee for me. But I am not reviewing the hotel, I'm reviewing the coffee shop connected to it. I wholeheartedly believe that the smaller selection the better. This goes for restaurants, coffee shops, all that jazz. stayed at hotel lincoln for four days and Elaine's was conveniently attached to the lobby. their lattes are delicious and according to my husband, their coffee was really good and tasted really fresh. we've tried their pb&j sandwich per the recs of other yelpers and i must agree and say it was quite delicious... although the bread to pbj ratio was a little off, too much bread. and their oatmeal was yum. it was on the slimy side but the grainy texture was a great balance. i also tried their pastrami wrap and that was subpar. service was also great. read more

Wow. I try to hit "real local coffee shops" in the great metros of USA, and this one is amazing, coffee is rich and smooth, I drink a lot of triple soy and this one was creamy smooth and whatever soy they are using had a great rich taste. I stayed at Hotel Lincoln next store and nothing connected with this hotel was less then superb. And, the Lincoln Park neighborhood was amazing. read more

I'm here for the coffee. Try the Gabraltar for a strong 5oz cup of goodness. The espresso is rich and the ratio of milk is ideal for someone who doesn't want a glass of milk with their espresso. It's attached to the Lincoln Hotel, so you'll get hotel traffic through the shop. The prices are average $3-4 for a drink. If you can find a space, the environment is quaint. The location is ideal being across from Lincoln Park. read more

Exactly what was needed in the neighborhood, fantastic, artful La Colombe coffee & espresso, really tasty chai, at a nice price point. Really great oatmeal & crepes. And a diverse and high-end beverage case. All in a homey, inviting, hodge-podge atmosphere in the lobby of the Lincoln hotel. There really is nothing to dislike about this coffee shop. The pastries are made in the PV kitchen, and so are the salads. We should be thankful to have this place. It's a true gem. read more

i got the lavender vanilla latte with almond milk. not only was it tasty, but the barista put the decorate leaf on top. really great spot across from lincoln park. i just wish they had a little bit more space to chill and relax inside. hope i get to go back and try one of the wraps! read more

Excellent coffee and pastries! We went here multiple times while staying at the Lincoln Hotel which it was adjacent too. I got the spinach egg white goat cheese crepe the first morning. The egg patty was pre-made so it wasn't the best but the pesto on it was amazing. We got the sea salt chocolate chip cookie in the afternoon and that was divine. The second morning I got a chai tea latte that was creamy and perfect. What a great place! read more

I didn't try their menu, but their prices seem to be reasonable ($8- $10 for a sandwich). Great ambient and decor. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Nice little coffee shop. It is part of the Lincoln Hotel in Lincoln Park. I went here to get some work done and it's a little on the small side with limited seating and outlets. A lot of traffic coming and going as it's connected to the hotel lobby so it's a bit noisy and maybe not as conducive to quiet studying. Coffee was fine, I didn't try the food but they had some pastries and sandwiches on the menu as well. read more

While staying at Hotel Lincoln, we ran down for a quick bite. I tried ordering something (I can't remember the specific item) without dairy but since the kitchen pre-makes everything I couldn't do a special order. (boo) I was getting frustrated at my lack of options but decided....what the heck....I'll try the peanut butter & jelly. (grrr....I can make this at home?!?!?) The guy recommended having it grilled. Uhhhh....OK? WHOLLLY SMOKES it was awesome!!!!!!!! So awesome that I got home and searched the store shelves for pecan butter so I can try and recreate it. Thanks Elaine's for introducing my kid to $20.00 per jar PB&J butter! ;-) read more
