Great place to get work done, plenty of outlets and the tables have tons of space. The coffee isn't bad either, but if you are looking for "fun" coffees it's a little limited. The Vegan Donuts taste a little odd, more dense then you would think when looking at them. The bagel was solid too.

I love supporting local businesses and this coffee establishment is one I've been wanting to try for awhile. The coffee was good enough for me to give up my Starbucks habit. Service wasn't particularly warm or welcoming but it was professional. Cool place and vibe. Will be back for more coffee and to try one, or a few of the bagel sandwich options. Nice tea and specialty drink options too.

A side of bacon made this little dude really happy!

Going for a walk; Grabbing a coffee and a bagel; Enjoying these treats under a shady tree in Lincoln Park: These are a few of my favorite things and exactly why I love where I live. Their coffee is really good and the bagel sandwiches are very satisfying. The bacon is a bit fatty for my taste, but I really enjoyed the sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel!

Really cool vibe inside. I tried the smooth criminal on a whole wheat bagel and it was delicious! It had goat cheese, egg, bacon, and fig jam spread. A delicious sweet and savory combination!

Decent spot for a bagel in a city not known for bagels. Having had better bagels elsewhere in Chicago I was not super impressed as the eggs and bacon didn't seem super fresh but it got the job done. Definitely stick with the classics here!

Awesome spot for a quick snack and some coffee! Coffee here is Amazinggg! The vibe is great here! It usually gets packed during the weekends. I love their Fig bagel and the latte! My to-go usually:) Around 10 tables to sit inside. Ample of space! Tip : ask for the punch card! If you get 10 punches, you will get any drink of your choice for free!! Will definitely visit again !!

I cone here a lot. Its our neighborhood go to spot to walk to on the weekends or days off. They always play solid music. Its on the loud side wirh the music and hustle of the shop so if you can't compartmentalize or don't have noise canceling headphones and you're trying to study this wouldn't be the spot for you. I love the coffee here! I like it with that slight bitter singe so if you like solid coffee I'd recommend it for you! Bagels are hella delicious no matter if you're a plane Jane or like an everything or jalapeño cheddar you'll be happy. Their breakfast bagel sandwiches are hella solid. I personally mix and match the veggie with egg and cheese. Its a little more expensive but the best way for me to get the fresh veggies with the hearty egg and cheese flavor. My roommate got the smooth criminal for the first time and although it looks a little sad in the photo...she loved it. Its for the more sophisticated pallets. Tangy goat cheese, sweet fig jam, and spicy with the Sriracha. Ps service here is dope. They even asked of my name was spelled with a H or not. Which is rare.

My favorite spot in Lakeview East to work remotely. The staff is friendly, there are plenty of places to sit with plenty of outlets. I enjoy their seasonal beverages, and their breakfast bagels sandwiches are really good. Also there's something to be said about a cafe that plays good music.

    Free wifi and charge?

Yes. The Wi-Fi password is posted behind the counter, I think, and there was an outlet under my seat and near the high top seats in the front windows.

What I can't get over is the gentleman sitting every day for hours and hours with his dirty bare feet on chairs that customers sit in. You can see his grimy feet and the slippers he leaves on the floor. It's really gross because when I brought my friends for the first time, there were no tables available except for the one he always uses to put his dirty bare feet on. So we had to sit with his smelly feet as our "neighbor" just a couple feet away. If he's homeless, I have a lot of sympathy for him. But he obviously had sandals which he doesn't use when he puts his feet on chairs, and nobody should be putting bare feet on chairs that people sit on in a cafe anyways. If he's a regular, he should know to respect the cafe, the owners, staff, and patrons better. He also takes up that whole half of the long table by the front so that no customers can sit there. And nobody would want to use that chair he has used for his dirty feet anyways. Please inform him politely it's causing a distraction and is a health hazard. There needs to be some standards at cafes for sanitary reasons even if it's not crowded. It's just pretty gross.

I went around 6:30pm on a weekday and things were pretty quiet- although this seemed to be popular for takeout, the interior was very cute and there was ample room for seating. They have an extensive menu of delicious sandwiches on homemade bread, so it was hard to pick just one! I opted for the roast beef sandwich, and it could have definitely lasted for two moderately sized meals. It took a bit longer than expected to come out, but it was perfectly toasted and truly made to order. The unsung hero of the sandwich was the rosemary ciabatta bread, which added that subtle extra flavor that would remind you this is a speciality spot. The avocado and grilled onions with melty cheese made for a well rounded rich flavor. I do think the beef could have been a tiny bit fresher and think a more flavorful aioli would have upped the sandwich, but overall it was still tasty and satisfying. I would definitely return to try more of the sandwiches and recommend paying a visit! I

I've been a customer of almost 10 years and have been obsessed since they first opened their doors at a different location. I literally live an hour away without traffic and even longer with traffic, but I make sure to stop by or send someone else to get it for me at least once a month or more. I love the amazing cakes that are so delicious and unique but on top of that, it is Asian owned, LGBTQ supporting, etc. A lot has changed since their little storefront with no seating. The bakery is now a full on cafe and I'm so happy to see how much they've grown and how successful they are. And while it is glorious, I will say I miss the sweet neighborhood charm and great customer service it used to have. Getting in touch with the bakery through phone or text can be tough and to be honest, sometimes one of the people working there is kind of...very mean. It had me questioning if I should keep coming back. I just love this bakery so much though and being raised by parents that had a small food business, I can't help but want to support. I had a particularly difficult last minute request for the bakery a few weeks ago and I was reminded why this place is so great. It had been YEARS since I made this specific request, which was an order for a slice of cake for every flavor and a cupcake for every flavor. This is a BIG and time consuming request, especially if it's last minute. Unfortunately I come to the city whenever the traffic isn't atrocious, so it's always last minute. Dom absolutely pulled through though. Even though there were other employees there (I saw two others but one disappeared and then another male was kind of walking around the cafe and such), Dom took this giant request and fulfilled it himself. The other gentleman (not the mean person previously mentioned) was actually who I made the request to, but he told Dom to do it. I was kind of confused why they didn't do it together but idk, maybe the other guy isn't allowed to handle food? Who knows. Regardless, this request obviously took a long time and the line was getting longer; people were getting a little restless but Dom stayed calm but was swift. I swear he was moving faster than most people in the industry could with a cake knife like that. He was not impatient or rude to me at all. He was just there to do his job as fast and well as possible. It's so rare to see that type of work ethic. He is also so obviously proud of the bakery and the food they serve which makes you feel good about being a patron there. So although I continue to have an unpleasant experience with one particular employee there, Dom keeps my love for this bakery alive. He reminds me of what this bakery was like when they first opened their doors. I hope Dom is cherished there and I bet he is considering his work ethic. I will continue to support this bakery and I recommend everyone else to support as well. It may not be that small little shop anymore but Dom is a reminder of the heart of the place.
