I was looking for a place closer to home for Russian manicures and pedicures, and found this place, which has great reviews. So I scheduled a manicure and pedicure with their top person. She was not exceptionally friendly when I came in, but it was early morning, so I figured maybe she just wasn't a morning person However, the quality of my manicure is not that of the other reviews. It has been a week so far and one nail is lifting, and the cuticles that theyre supposed to remove, still seem to be there now that sometime has passed. I'm glad I did not get the pedicure too because for the $115 that I spent just on a manicure, it should've lasted longer. I got a Russian pedicure at a place in Sacramento and that pedicure lasted almost a full month and still looked wonderful when I went in for my next one. One of the best pedicures I've ever gotten which is saying a lot as I ALWAYS have my toes done. Such attention to detail, no waiting and easy to book. Also does not do severe picking of skin or cutting nails short which creates ingrown toes and sensitivities - can't stand when nail techs do that. It asking is always available as well. read more

I was torn about writing this review but I can't erase the memory of the technician, possibly the owner that was talking shit about me under her breathe - it was so awkward! I booked two mani and pedis and we had the whole salon to ourselves with only two technicians to service us. This was a local salon at a convenient location so we thought we give it a try. Neither of us will be returning after my review. I was being indecisive about my nail color and design and the technician that did my nails was impatient and agro. You are seriously in the wrong industry if you cannot keep your cool. I got the gel manicure and felt that attention to detail was lacking. The edges of the sides of my nails were not fully covered with polish. I'm not sure if it's the technique here but she filed both edges of the side of my nails after she was done. I also had polish around a few nails which was not the cleanest job. We both got regular pedicures by a different technician. She was gentle and sweet but maybe a little to gentle. My friend and I thought she didn't really get in there to clean our nails. When she got around to applying nail polish to my other big toe, I noticed a layer of my nail was detached! I'm not sure how it was missed. She had to remove the polish and redo that nail - also awkward. My friend and I both felt that attention to detail was lacking and our nails were not completely covered with polish. Many areas were missed. The same angry technician did my friends dip nails my friend thought it was too thick. She asked for round square but it was more square, so she fixed it at home. I'm glad my friend didn't ask for it to be fixed because she would have gotten an earful too. This review is for the business owner's awareness and I really hope it wasn't the angry technician. Reasonably priced, poor service with a lack of attention to detail. It's not worth it. We rather pay more for great service and better quality nails. After a week, my gel nails are holding up well but our toes are sadly chipped in just a few days. read more

Went here to get my nails done, and was very disappointed in the final result. One nail was very bumpy and she was gonna ignore it and keep going. All of them were bumpy and I'm not sure she removed any cuticles. Overall very messy job. I have an event and will need to go get them redone. I came here once and I really love my nails, done by the owner. Second time, I went back in Dec, but her shop was closed, OK maybe she's still in holidays or took holidays earlier or longer (can't remember the exact date). Then third time in the beginning of February, I went in without appointment, but she was doing somebody else nails, told me to come back ...... I did come back, but I was over 20 mins (got stuck in traffic rain), shop was already closed. I thought she would wait and since she didn't take my number, I assumed that's OK..... (it was only 5pm) and it's seems that it's not a busy nail salon. I called the number, but nobody picked up. I would recommend to call her first. This place is not hidden, but easy to pass by without noticing it. I never realized that's it's a nail salon. First time visiting this salon, and loved the decor. I came in for a pedicure and gel manicure. I opted for the upgraded pedicure with mask & scrub and it was great. Large selection of colors plus vegan brand zoya available. I brought my own OPI base coat, color and top coat because I've had poor luck with the dnd brand most salons are using these days. Overall the Pedicure and hot stone massage were fantastic. Would definitely return for that. 1 Star for the gel manicure, as it barely lasted through the weekend. I lost one nail the next day, and 4 days later all had peeled off. There is literally no damage to my nails which is great but also tells me that something wasn't done properly. The worst awful manicure and pedicure I've ever had. I went there yesterday and here are my nails today!!! I went there yesterday at around 11 am and now it's 12:47 pm. Customer service was very bad and not friendly. I've never ever go back to this place again. Do NOT recommend this nail salon. WAST of your money. I paid $50 for these. Ruby is amazing! So good that I literally just stepped out and want to tell everyone about her spot. Such a nice lady and is very hardworking. She really gives you your money's worth which is still not a bad deal considering the different pedicure packages she has to offer. I normally do my own nails now, so I went in for a deluxe pedicure initially and ended up upgrading to the glam package. Do yourself a favor and just spend the extra $10 and treat yourself, it's worth it. Ruby is excellent, in all other shops I'm lucky if my gel manicure lasts two weeks, last time she did them lasted 4 weeks. Also, she's easy to communicate with if you have any problem toe nails, etc. she pays attention to you, doesn't talk to other technicians non stop as some shops do while you are sitting there. Really nice and clean place. Has dividers for every 2 chairs an all in the front. Came for a pedicure which I hadn't had in about two years due to COVID. They have 30, 45 and 55 dollar pedicures. The differences were scrubs and leg massage. I chose the 55$ pedi because it had been so long. It was pretty good. Long leg massage but would have liked the time spent on foot massage. Last time I went here was over a year ago, but decided to come back after trying out lots of the other nail places in the area. Ruby the owner scheduled my appt over the phone and texted me later that day to confirm. The salon is clean and very cute/modern. I arrived a bit before my appointment time and she was already ready for me which I find to be uncommon. I just moved from Boston and it has been trial and error to find my go to place as I have tried two other salons before I found Elan. I am not sure who my technician was, but she was wonderful and friendly. The arm/hand massage was really nice and she took extra steps to make sure I didnt smudge my nails, which I often do right after an appt. The salon is really clean. My partner says I can be a bit of a princess because I guess I am used to top quality/high maintenance areas from Boston, so Elan has met all of those expectations.
