We followed great reviews to Elbita's.....they were right, great food and prices and friendly people, especially Elbita. My wife enjoyed and shared her ground beef enchiladas which came with rice and beans. Our son enjoyed some crispy beef fajita crunchy tacos and one fajita soft taco. I had some awesome beef fajitas with rice and beans and pico and sour cream and cheese and a couple really good flour tortillas. The grandbabies enjoyed an iced lemonade and samples of everything. The walls are decorated with souvenirs from all over the world. The grandbabies loved Elbita because she played with them and when we paid she broke out a camera that was made out of an orange soda can, she said say cheese, pulled something and a little clown face popped out of the can....our grandson thought that was hilarious. This is just a review of my Ubereats order. Overall, I think it's 3.5 star rating. I got the 4 quesabirrias with what seemed like a 32 oz cup of iced horchata. While I think they could've been more generous with the amount of quesabirrias in my order (They were small and I was still hungry), the quesabirrias themselves were delicious. Meaty, cheesy, and complimented well with their onions, cilantro and consume broth. They did have only one very small bag of chips come with our orders. However, we had 4 orders of quesabirrias. Otherwise, they were oddly generous with their horchata drink. I was bloated with horchata at the end. Lol. I do enjoy their horchata drink because it was refreshing and with a pleasant cinnamon flavor. It wasn't too overpowering like a Big Red gum. We'd order from them again. This place is so close to my house and I've never noticed it. It's a little hole in the wall next to a gas station. The food here is more Tex Mex than Mexican, but it is good nonetheless. I had the burrito texano with chicken and added guacamole to it, the burrito itself was massive and left me full for the rest of the day. I would come back here again. read more

This is great food! My coworkers and I stopped here on a work trip to random places in Houston. It's next to a gas station and doesn't look like much, but I love local small businesses with character !! Our server was great at explaining the menu and pointing out her favorites! If you like them on FB you'll get a free bowl of queso! We all had fajitas with various meats and one person got the huge, and I mean HUGE burrito! I can't remember the name.. Big burrito, Texas burrito, something like that. Anywho, the food was great, well seasoned, and the steak was tender with all the fat removed so you could just wrap and stuff them straight in your mouth. It's an average texmex restaurant but I love that the food is always hot and the server is so sweet and kind! I think Elbita (the owner) is the one who always works when I go and she is so nice. Her English isn't the best but she gets the point. It's a small mom/pop shop next to the gas station and when you're first seated, you get served with salsa and chips. Get the spicy if you like and it's got a decent kick. I like to add salt into the salsa prior to dipping because it seems like it's made without salt. I like that breakfast is ALL DAY but the lunch menu is only served til 4pm. They also have margaritas and other drinks if you want. I got fajita nachos and my boyfriend ordered the chimichanga I think, and it was pretty good. I know they're pretty basic but if you mess those up, then it must be really bad...but luckily they're good here! I wouldn't necessarily crave this place but it's a good place to stop by and snack if yours hungry. I would still come back to try other things, I remember their breakfast tacos being decent but haven't had it in a while. Tried a dessert last time (bunuelo?) My son and I were at our community park and could smell the food. I asked my son if he was hungry and he pointed at the restaurant, so we gave it a shot. All I can say is wow! The food is amazing and the customer service was fantastic. My two year old devoured his food and if you know kids they're super picky. Chicken Chimichanga, refríed beans, rice is good. Chips and salsa was included. The chips were not fresh, but everything else tasted good.

After spending $78.00 here I'm so disappointed. We order fajitas and fajita enchiladas. The fajitas had no flavor and had a strange soft texture like it was left in water,and more onions than meat. The side plate that came with it had almost a table spoon of sour cream and you could count the pieces of cheese. (Less than a table spoons worth). The enchiladas had no flavor almost no gravy and completely fell apart in pieces you just had to move it for it to break apart. The tortillas were great and fresh. For 3 orders of fajitas we received 6. I'm so disappointed that the plates left me speechless. Like wow this is sad. read more

Cute little restaurant that is a mom and pop shop. The service was really good, the food was good, and the salsa was knock you off your butt spicy. We ordered the steak burrito with the queso on top and that was good. It came stuffed with rice, beef steak, sour cream, and pico all wrapped in a thick flour tortilla and then drenched in warm queso. My husband really enjoyed it. For an extra kick, we drizzled the salsa on top. We also ordered the beef steak tacos. They were good. The tacos are pretty simple, it's just beef in a hand made thin Tortilla. None of the fancy stuff. Personally I prefer little bit of onions and cilantro and tomatoes in mine but the plate didn't come with this. All in all, a good place to come to if you are craving Tex-mex with good service. read more
