After what seemed to be a relentless search, I finally found Thompson & Co and have been extremely happy with their services and style ever since! First off, the instant you walk in the door, they are extremely accommodating and offer you a drink (water, coffee, beer, wine, etc.) and a comfortable place to sit while you wait for your appointment. As for my appointments, I do not necessarily just always go to the same stylist, as I have had equally good experiences with all of them to-date. It is also easier to schedule on the fly that way :) The stylists are very attentive listeners and do not make you feel bad if you continue to have suggestions until they get your haircut and style just right. They are also good about offering styling suggestions, but do not necessarily try and push their products on you. The other thing that is cool about their stylists, is the parlor not only encourages continued education, more over the parlor brings in other stylist from around the nation and maybe even world to teach them and provide new tips and tricks. I think that is just awesome, and worth supporting. Meanwhile, the environment is comfortable and cool the whole time. I honestly do not have any things to say where I think they need improvement at this time. So, if you are looking for an excellent stylist / parlor that you would think you could only find in a big city, check out Thompson and Co, and I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Their staff had terrible customer service and their management isn't any better. They will not try to correct a mistake they will sweep it under the rug. Absolutely terrible customer service. Crazy you'd rather not collect a customer than correct your staff's attitude. Maybe record the phone calls.

I didn't have a specific stylist in mind, so I was matched up with Irina. I believe I called on a Wednesday and was able to get an appointment for a few days later. I was Irina's last appointment on a Saturday afternoon, but you never would have known. She was very friendly, listened to what I had to say, and gave lots of great advice. I left with the exact haircut I asked for. Have I been able to style it the way Irina did? Heck no. That requires talent I simply don't have. Irina taught me a lot about my hair - what to do with the random grays that make an appearance, the type of hair I have, etc. Seriously, what she taught me was totally worth the price paid; aside from the actual haircut itself. The salon is super clean and inviting. Lots of natural light, especially at Irina's station because of where she's located. They do sell hair products including Amika (which I personally like). I had no idea how much it was going to cost (around $75 with tip) for a women's cut, as prices aren't posted online. I suppose I could have asked when I scheduled my appointment, but it didn't really matter to me. I'm someone who gets her haircut 1x per year. Recommend. I'll definitely make a return visit.

I will say I wasn't expecting a residential area when I mapped to her location, however was more than surprised how she had her home set up to accommodate her clients! I was pleasantly welcomed into her home and could tell right away that THIS was going to be wonderful! Jenny spent time telling me about the products she was using and did use during my service, I felt relaxed, comfortable and very glad that I decided to make this appointment. I had talked to Jenny about my previous hair situation (I had extensions and had no business having them), and she helped me understand what damage was done to my hair, the positives in the condition of my hair and how to get it where I wanted it to be again. She talked about all her trainings and her equipment that she uses for not only hair but facials, etc and I could tell that she genuinely loves alll things salon and spa! Kodi was my stylist, and she checked in with me throughout to make sure we were on the same page, which I really appreciated. She created a safe and comfortable space where, if there was something I had a question about or wanted advice on, I had no fear of judgment or that she would not listen to me.
